During my teenage years I thought I wanted to live with my mom because of the freedom I got there but with that freedom came trouble, I got arrested, I didn’t do well in school, I didn’t even work for awhile. I needed a parent but didn’t even realize it. Also yes many issues have come with this, I have cptsd, depression and anxiety. You got it spot on, my mom was very poor and my dad was super rich, going back and forth really did make things confusing, arriving to school in a Porsche one week then on the next arriving on the bus without any food is something that isn’t easy to explain to others. All of this did give me many issues but at this point in my life I just like to say I’ve got perspective from both sides of life

I have CPTSD and in my experience the only way to get better is to go against the grain and push through it and do the things you know are gonna be good for you even if every part of you just wants to stay alone, it can be hard tho so never get discouraged, it took me awhile but I finally push through to getting a few interviews setup, even a small step is a worthwhile effort. Honestly just brushing my teeth feels like a accomplishment sometimes, cherish the progress
