It censors important ideas which depicts a false sense of reality. Nobody is getting their view of reality from a stupid funny webcomic. And this comic isn't feminist at all. Feminists would be disappointed to so see that the woman is relying on a father-like figure or a parental figure in order to decide who she dates, as things were considered to be stereotypical in ye olden days. But you can go ahead and keep thinking that the answer to discrimination is to discriminate I didn't say the answe…

It's a comic that's about subverting expectations. The dragon is supposed to be jealously guarding the princess but is instead acting as a sort of father figure or "gatekeeper" and helping out, rather than hurting. Your reasoning that the comic is bad is... something that isn't in the comic? while the dragon discriminates against men. Well, yeah, nothing wrong with discrimination when it's between people of the same group and you are selecting the best of them.

I get that. But the packaging of the film, the general vibe, and the tenor of the people applauding it just screams "men-only"—and specifically seems to cater to a certain type of very pretentious man who would love nothing more than to explain to me why I'm wrong about not liking it. ... If it was one of your friends, it would be the one who starts his sentences with "I get what you're saying, but..." If you hate people who say it, why's it that you are literally saying "I get it, but" in the s…

I don't think that's an accurate criticism of feminism. They clearly are fighting for the betterment of women, but their core ideal is that they are doing this in a world where women are worse off. I agree, in some ways, with the feminist ideal. I think that women have a number of pretty serious issues that do need to be dealt with, and focused on. Examples of this include abortion, birth control, being taken seriously at work, not being harassed or sexualized, etc. However, I think feminism tod…

Until every place that women get off worse gets changed and men are left carrying the weight.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
