That's why the joke although it's funny is not very accurate: "Where are the feminists in those situations?! You can't find them!". It's actually in those situations that you see feminists at their best (or worst), demanding special protection for women and distorting the concept of equality to get what they want.

Yes and it's important emphasize the fact that this two concepts are mutually exclusive, because to some people they aren't. For some people, including feminist, it's just biology, not sexism. Others believe that is actually the patriarchy that causes male disposability. How they don't see the absurdity of this statement is beyond me.

I know, but there are people that extends this concepts to the entire group. I saw a psychologist in TV commenting on a case of a priest that had sex with some women of his church and the psychologist said that he did that because women are the link between man and God. I think there are people, men and women (the psychologist was a woman), that take pride in this, kinda sexist, type of mentality.

Ahahah, i wasn't thinking about the child when I wrote that. In "The road" Viggo Mortensen say, referring to his son: "to me, he is like God". He is willing to protect his child, not only because is weak, but because he loves him more that his own life. To some extent, I think we project this kind of feelings towards women, because they make children, but I think you are right, we should also reconsider the fact that we see women as weak and incapable to protect themselves.

Take movies or videogames for example, women in the past were seen as weak and fragile, but now is not like that. Or maybe is both. Men are seen as strong and disposable, women are seen as weak and important. Using violence against a weak and fragile man is not as bad as using violence against a woman. But I'm not an expert, obviously, so maybe I'm wrong.

Ok, i guess more fragile is a good way to put it but It is not the only factor, and not the most important. If you throw a man under a train to stop the train to kill five people, but you are not incline to do this with a woman (that's the question of the study I was mentioning) this is not because the man is stronger. Strength is not important when you are hit by a train, it's about the empathy gap. We have less empathy for men because we think they are more disposable than women.

Slapping a weak man is not the same as slapping a woman. There is a study that shows that if you ask people to sacrifice someone to save others they are more incline to do it if they don't know the gender of the person to be sacrified, or if they know that the person is a man. I don't think this is because men are more powerful, is because women are more important, because they make children, I think. That's where the bias come from.

Are you sure? Many groups of people throughout history were considered inferior, but they didn't get special protection. Even with animal, we love and protect some of them and we kill and eat others.i think in some occasions women can get a special treatment even when they are considered stronger, for example in health care.

To me is violence against men. Expecially male on male violence. For what i saw it's rarely addressed by feminist because the victim aren't female and rarely by MRAs because the perpetrators are male, but it's the most common type of violence and is usually ignored or taken less seriously. I think it's not completely wrong to say that the gap is caused by sexism. The problem is that is seen as sexism against women while, in reality, is sexism against both.

I have some questions. If you know that the term toxic masculinity can be interpreted as a way of saying that men are toxic, why you keep using it? Why can't you just say misandry instead? Why call patriarchy something that oppress both gender? If it oppress both gender just call it sexism. One day, in a supermarket, I saw a big picture on the wall with a black guy and a white girl that said "I see no difference". I thought it was something anti racism then I came closer and below that it said "we promote female employment" and than basically explained how in their supermarket they have quotas for women.

It's their narcissistic way of thinking that make them believe that feminism is the cure for everything. We have to stop using strength to justifying male disposability. Women can choose to make a career in the military but only men can be drafted. That's not because men are stronger, it's because men's lives are valued less that women's lives.

I was trying to make a parody of what a feminist would say. Let me rephrase that. Feminist: "war exist because of the patriarchy, so it's men fault" For them equality doesn't mean equal rights and equal responsibility. They want, (and they took) only the good part of the male role and when you try to make them notice the hypocrisy of this attitude they justify themselves by saying that is men's fault. Sorry if I wasn't clear.

But war exist because of the patriarchy so it's men's fault. Equality doesn't mean that women should do everything men do. Equality means that women should take only the good part of what men did (like the right to vote) and leave the rest to men, justifying this hypocrisy by saying that is men's fault.
