Better to ask than to assume, I suppose.

It sounds as if you were initiating this and trying to "work her up" after she refused, so I would say it was not that clear, actually.

Except if she wasn't in the mood and I tried to initiate and work her up. Then it was "borderline rape", even if it never got past heavy petting. So you ignored her lack of consent, engaged in sexual activity in spite of her protests, and you think she's in the wrong for calling it borderline rape? I mean I'll give you that, it might fit the description of sexual assault better than it does rape, but semantics seem to be the least of the problems here.

Folk like you, as in redpillers. I gave you a possible explanation which described differences in how women vs. men approach the topic. Perhaps if people are calling you (or likeminded people) misogynistic over this, then it might be because you come off as misogynistic.

Heresy? Hypergamy is heterodoxic? If I had to guess, then I would propose it's because when women talk about "marrying up," it probably relates to the socioeconomic reality that women are disadvantaged in the workplace, especially if having children is a goal. When men talk about it, it tends to come off as whining about women who won't date then/dump them for another man. It really doesn't help when folk like you treat it as somehow inherent to women, nor does it when your own behavior mirrors …

I never assumed that, and in fact I thought I tried to speak objectively. You keep putting words in my mouth. I'm not sure what your point about Haidt. Is he your friend? I wasn't aware Haidt was an Arabic name.

Your friend doesn't sound very tolerant.

Because we have a wholly different set of values which include the recognition of women and men as equal members of society. What values and observations would your friend contribute which wouldn't contradict this?

Your friend could be the most radical feminist in Saudi Arabia, and it still wouldn't change that his cultural values have been shaped by Saudi Arabian society. Besides, I'm not sure what he could contribute regarding women in Western societies

Your friend comes from one of the most repressive countries for women, and which is notable for being the only country in the world to ban women from driving. Perhaps he's not the best judge of social values in the West.

The "not about fucking men" excuse is a bullshit copout. Is TRP not about self-improvement? How can you then avoid addressing men's solipsism without either denying it, or rationalizing it as somehow more justifiable compared to women's solipsism?
/r/PurplePillDebate08/10/14 03:20 PM

What's crazy about it is the implication that this is either one-sided or somehow worse when women do it. Men can hardly understand unique female experiences either, and given the ubiquity of male-focused media past and present possibly less than women can male experiences, yet redpillers such as yourself use solipsism as a gendered term. What's especially odd is TRP as I understand it takes a very solipsistic approach to relationships, to the point where women understand themselves and their in…

You said abusers won't stop abusing, and the only thing preventing you is laziness.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/09/14 05:25 PM
3

Why do you say you wouldn't be able to refraim from abusive behavior? Do you honestly believe there is no moral or compassionate argument that would convince you to not abuse? You talk like you believe its wrong, but by your own admission you would still abuse your partner. I don't see why the burden of action can't rest on both parties here. The victim should leave their partner, but typically abusers attempt to isolate their victims, and make them dependant on them. It's neither physically nor…

If she is getting traumatized English teachers would call this the "passive voice." I would call it blaming the victim. Where is this trauma coming from? Why is the 'object'being reframed as the 'subject'? It essentially says she, if anyone, is responsible for the trauma. "He is tramatizing her," changes the meaning of the sentence a lot. It not just sources the origin of the trauma, but makes him responsible for it. Why wouldn't he be? Why shouldn't the abuser be held responsible for his abuse?

Part of that resistance is convincing yourself it won't work. Depression fucks with your entire worldview. Everything you think is subject to being distorted. You're going to have a hell of a time recovering if you don't get external help.

Having sex doesn't make you happy, and from the way you call yourself incel it sounds like you dwell over your lack of it. You're stressing yourself over something unfulfilling, and the best option to fix that is to stop caring about it right now. The problem I see is you seeking validation through sex, which is a poor way to cope with an emotional disorder like depression. Even if you get laid you'll probably still be left unfulfilled. You need to redirect that energy into something more produc…

I didn't mean sleeping around makes you look bad, I mean sleeping around is going to "use up" the number of women you (rather, anyone like you) would consider LTR-able. This is more of a general TRP thing, but even if only 10% of men had a partner count like you do, that's going to quickly put a lot of woman above the partner threshold of a lot of men.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/09/14 07:22 PM
3

How so? If we assume the majority of these partners were rejected by the woman as hypergamy would imply, then for the most part each partner she takes is superior to the last. Thus you can all but guarantee there are relatively few men she would leave you for. II'd say it's something to think about. Also, I'm not a member of TBP, and I'm certainly not convinced you assumed I'm a woman out of fairness.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/09/14 04:44 PM
3

Right, because it would be terrible to waste his imaginary internet points on asking women a question about women.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/09/14 01:30 PM
2

Interesting that you assume I'm a woman. You may have answered me in point four, but rather poorly to where I just couldn't tell what you meant. "Maximizing rejection" sounds like half-baked business lingo, and if it's analogous to hypergamy why be redundant with your jargon? It also raises new questions; it seems especially bizarre to justify your hypergamy while opposing women for the same. If anything wouldn't a moderately high partner count potentially indicate your value above her previous …

Those points make assumptions I reject, but I was more concerned with challenging the logic within the framework of RP thought. I am assuming for the sake of discussion that these assumptions are true. You say you plan to settle down, but earlier you said: Most of us do not plan on settling down or ever marrying. We plan to be whores. And by contrast: Women plan to be whores and then settle down. At best I can only assume you are sleeping around, or at least were at one point. My comment is the …

Except you're basically saying this predates recorded history, or maybe Homo sapiens entirely. I don't even think the other great apes can be described as "rapey," for that matter. What does that have to do with feminism, then?
/r/PurplePillDebate15/09/14 07:54 PM
8

So men are still too dumb to control ourselves, we've just outsourced any sense of responsibility onto women.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/09/14 07:41 PM
6

Oh, is that why there's an epidemic of women in feminist societies that are on anti-depressants while women in more traditional societies are happier? Assuming that's true, so what? People often trade their happiness for success; we wouldn't have agriculture if some people didn't decide to give up the easy nomadic lifestyle to toil on the earliest farmland, but the stable supply of food drew many in. We wouldn't have civilization if people didn't give up the dependable agricultural work to try a…

If you aren't settling down, why care about her number of partners? If you care about LTR-ability, why play the game? Why does TRP encompass two irreconcilable behaviors and still blame women for not fitting into it? You want the Madonna and the whore in one package, and blame feminism when this proves impossible. Surely you can see how irrational this strategy is.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/09/14 07:17 PM
12

That "agreement" only benefits women in the context of "traditional" households when women relied on a husband for support, and it benefits men far more by ensuring their wife is "untouched," i.e. solely his. It seems to me that agreement was more likely created by men than women. Also, what's with the "men will fuck anything given the chance" meme I always hear? Are men too dumb and impulsive to control their libidos or something?
/r/PurplePillDebate15/09/14 07:04 PM
10

It takes two to tango, though. What about all the alpha males having sex with them?
/r/PurplePillDebate15/09/14 06:37 PM
8

You seem to be assuming these women's sexual behavior arose independantly of the sexual environment - half of which includes men. Either men are encouraging these women to be promiscuous and cheat through participation, or they aren't doing enough to discourage it. Either way, this revenge of theirs is just making the environment more hostile to people like you.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/09/14 06:30 PM
11

So they take revenge on women by... having sex with women, meaning fewer women of marriage quality for the rest of men? I'm not sure how you expected that to come across, but I doubt it was like that. Do you wish to have another go at it?
/r/PurplePillDebate15/09/14 05:55 PM
9

For them perhaps, but all the RP men looking for plates to spin must be estatic about this. Why do you oppose their happiness? Also, unless you expect them to remain celebate as well, not marrying is just going to encourage this kind of thing.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/09/14 05:47 PM
13

Who did you think all your RP compatriots were fucking, other guys? Strangely for a sexual strategy/philosophy for straight men, you redpillers really seem to get upset at the idea women are having just as much sex as you.

S someone who has considered suicide I feel I must disagree here. I can't speak for anyone but myself, but while loneliness was an issue it wasn't what drove those thoughts. Really it all originated from a low opinion of myself, and the more I desired a relationship for validation the more depressed I became. It didn't even matter that I was well-liked and even had a sexual relationship not long before; I found ways to validate my self-loathing even in them. I don't know for certain but I'd gues…

Sometimes words have more than one meaning. I can think of shit ton of them, this is not an uncommon occurrence. Indeed, which is why in any discussion it is helpful if not necessary to establish what definition of a word you are working off of. Otherwise the most common (in context) usage is assumed, and here that means the philosophical one. On that note, TRP is a philosophy, or at least has philosophical elements, so your snide additude is completely unwarranted; why wouldn't one assume the p…

Well in terms of hierarchy, "dominant" and "superior" are practically synonymous.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/09/14 08:17 PM
5

I never said superiority was not real. I said superiority can be based on perceived attributes, as in hierarchies are not strictly meritocratic. I also said hierarchies can affect people's perception of others. Also, I am speaking of superiority/inferiority as hierarchal positions first, value second. The latter is rooted in the former, and I think it's important to recognize that. What I want is for people to not be confined to others' expectations. If a woman wants to take the inferior role th…

There are female architects, diplomats and CEO's etc. There are house husbands as well, but you still think men should take the superior role in marriage. I'm asking why women don't dominate these fields the way men do in fields they're supposedly superior at. What does it say abouttheir worth when these things women are "superior" in don't translate to actual authority?
/r/PurplePillDebate09/09/14 01:51 PM
1

Superior: of higher rank, quality, or importance. Status and authority do imply superiority, and conversely inferiority is implied by a lack of status or authority. Both in turn imply a value of quality to the individual based on their position. Regardless of reality the implications of hierarchies do affect our perception. Likewise expecting women to take a subordinate role in marriage does put them in a position of inferiority, and thus implies they are somehow less than men. The First Mate mi…

All those things are good advice for bettering oneself in general. Anyone who works toward self-improvement would thus incidentally elevate their "SMV," which leads back to "be yourself." As long as you try to be your best possible self your success should be within reach.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/09/14 01:08 PM
3

These are all traits, but I was asking for examples of authority. Where are all the women in positions of social power? Wher w are all the women diplomats? Where are all the women architects? Despite these traits there seem to be few roles or situations where women hold a position of superiority.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/09/14 12:57 PM
7

The inferiority you speak of is your own confirmation bias. Just because a team has a leader does not mean the rest of the team is inferior to the leader. Yes, it does. By definition a hierarchy establishes a superior/inferior relationship between its members. As well, hierarchies are usually organized to where those at the top are (perceived to be) better or superior to those below them. A First Mate is inferior at captaining a ship, or else they'd be Captain. The fact that the First Mate (or a…
/r/PurplePillDebate09/09/14 12:38 PM

In what situations are women superior to men? By that I mean when are men hierarchally below women? Are these situations valued in the way marriages are? The best I can think of is in raising children, yet two centuries ago that wasn't believed to be true, and even today it seems people are muchmore critical of single mothers than single fathers.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/09/14 11:57 AM
9

Anecdotes are just that; I see no reason to presume marriages are inherently better withh women in a position of inferiority. Besides, I can't say I view the length of a marriage as indicative of its quality, at least not without controlling for factors that would keep a bad marriage going. All those conservative/religious couples who refuse divorce are going to skew the statistics, after all.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/09/14 11:40 AM

That sounds to me like you think women are inferior.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/09/14 11:28 AM

Examples of lies that are told to men that can attract women are advice like "Be yourself", "Treat her like a human being", "Be nice", and other vague morally correct but doesn't cause attraction statements. The best way to cause attraction is to be attractive, but clearly TRP finds that to be worthless advice. What kind of advice do you expect to be given, "how to get into her panties with this one weird trick"? Most generic romantic advice will be generic because different people have differen…

I always see Redpillers say women are merely "different" than men rather than inferior, however you also tend to promote a male-dominant relationship dynamic based on some perceived "natural order" or some such. Doesn't that by definition place women in a position of inferiority to men?

I already said I can't watch a youtube video, so what makes you think I'm going to spend five hours watching some obscure Norwegian documentary? Sorry, my psychology 101 experience will have to do. What makes you think neuroplasticity and its role in child development is a myth?

Being a genuinely nice person is about getting people to like you, not getting them to sleep with you. Niceness is not in itself an attractive quality, but rather a baseline for normal social interaction. In fact, if your top attribute is "nice," then you're probably have very little in the way of personality, and all that's being said is you haven't made an ass out of yourself.

Let's take your example of fasting. People engage in fasting by choice - they live comfortably enough in a society where they can eat if they want, yet they choose to abstain. That's a rather simplistic take on fasting, though. People rarely "choose" to fast arbitrarily, but rather fast to show devotion to a particular belief or cause. In particular, people participating in hunger strikes are willing to risk their life to call attention to a perceived injustice. I doubt those with great willpowe…

Biological drives certainly apply to humans, but we frequently surpress them in favor of other drives. Fasting, celibacy, and even suicide prove that. Any naturalist must recognize there's no sound basis for free will in humans. Our thoughts and actions are the product of our neural processes, and as animals we obviously share many similarities with non-humans. However, redpillers especially seem to underestimate the complexity of the brain. The brain receives stimuli, then uses this information…

I believe TRP should be challenged because it promotes a harmful philosophy; specifically, its simplistic outlook on women (and men), the idolization of "dark triad" personality traits, and the rationalization of "amorality" and/or appealing to nature used to justify objectionable beliefs and practices. As such I have no interest in ignoring it, and as I value dialog and reason I come here with the intent to at least contribute to the swaying of opinions. It's not trolling just because I derive …

What relevance does instinct have in this discussion? We don't operate primarily on instinct, but on reason. That's why we don't attack each other over petty disagreements, and why we don't defecate in the middle of the street. We function as we do because we're capable of suppressing our baser urges to an extent and act thoughtfully. We are animals, but so are sponges. Sponges don't menstrate; they don't even have specialized cells. We share nothing in common besides a few specific adaptations …

Right, we're just like every other animal. I mean except for the bipedalism, hairlessness, opposable thumbs, and a large and well-developed brain, but that's hardly important, right? Oh wait, our freakishly-large heads are actually a real hindrance to birth thanks to our narrower, basket-like pelvis, meaning it's actually significantly more risky for children to give birth even if their body is physically capable of it. I guess that might be a reason to delay it for a few years.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/08/14 04:41 PM
1

Personality, then? I knew that wasn't the best word to use. I don't see any proof risk-aversion has a wholly biological origin, so I guess we're at the limit of this discussion.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/08/14 04:33 PM

Because in the rest of the animal kingdom, menstruation is a pretty big indicator of the jump from adolescence to adulthood/breeding age. In the rest of the animal kingdom, maturity is typically reached a few years after birth. Humans don't even start puberty for a decade, and we don't fully finish until our 20s. Human aging is glacial compared to most other animals, so why the certainty on menstration = breeding age?
/r/PurplePillDebate08/08/14 04:11 PM

Society would be hindering women, not stopping them. There are few if any de jure limitations put on women in American society, however the influence society has on people's mental development affects their thought and behavior. Having to work against one's nature is always a hindrance compared to those who don't need to. It doesn't cease to be a hindrance just because it's possible.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/08/14 04:01 PM

You don't care what people think, but you care about why they think it. Yeah, sure. I can't speak for anyone from TBP, but I enjoy the mockery because I believe TRP is a shallow, ugly philosophy which needs to be challenged. I could ignore you, but that would be boring.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/08/14 03:38 PM

I thought Redpillers don't care about what others think of them. Why does it matter to you if people mock you?

/r/PurplePillDebate08/08/14 10:37 AM

Yet you were the one to bring up drives, no? Funny that psychology is suddenly unconvincing to you. Even funnier, TRP is itself a product of psychology. It's pure behaviorist garbage, but all the same it attempts to make predictions of human heterosexual behavior. Granted TRP is unconvincing and contradictory, but I don't let that paint my understanding of psychology in general.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/08/14 06:30 PM
1

None of that actually refutes my argument. We have biological drives, but we're not limited to them. Seriously, I would advise you to do some research on the topic from an actual authority on psychology.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/08/14 06:02 PM
1

So you should probably not argue on a subject you have little understanding of. I'm no expert myself, but I at least know we have more than "exceedingly simple" drives that direct our behavior. Why else would anyone build monuments or create art or do anything that will persist after their life?
/r/PurplePillDebate07/08/14 05:43 PM

I don't think optimization is the reason, given such a thing can't exactly be measured. What is an optimal relationship to begin with? Rather, the idea of equal partnership is based on humanistic ideas like respect, and the goal is to create an environment in which neither partner is expected to be subservient to the other. The dynamics may be different in practice, but not due to some expectation of hierarchy. What does anyone do (or should do) in a disagreement? If they can't agree, they shoul…

"Animal" covers a range of complexity from primates to sponges. Humans specifically have highly-developed forebrains which have led to an immeasurably complex pattern of behavior. I do not see how this justifies either essentialism or objectification.

Well, the most obvious difference is you portray TRP in a much better way than you do 2x et al. If I had to guess, I'd say it results from bias on your part. More seriously, if I were to take your statements as true, it would probably result from two things: first, TRP is a self-improvement group' so the focus is on self-improvement; second, TRP appears to rely heavily on an essentialist, objectifying interpretation of women, so I would suspect Redpillers aren't especially interested in what wom…

Okay, but why are women more risk-averse than men? What causes it? It could easily be a learned trait; women are discouraged from risky behavior whereas men are encourage. In that case women as a group do have a barrier to power.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/08/14 06:56 PM
1

Even if women are by nature more risk-averse compared to men, you still need to prove it's only that which prevents more women from entering politics. I'm not an essentialist in the least, so I'm not satisfied with accepting any claims about human nature without first accounting for all other environmenal factors.

Most men are not in charge of the country, and I never thought it was in dispute. However, those who are in charge of the country are frequently men. Given the relative parity of the gender ratio there must be a factor which accounts for the disparity. Either men have greater access, women have lesser, or even both, but barring extreme coincidence there is something behind it. I don't think anyone grounded in reason would suggest all men have power over all women, however society facilitates a m…

That's a pretty flimsy bunch of straws you're grasping at, you know. North Korea has public elections, but would anyone characterize the people as having power in that country? I think not. The American electoral system is thankfully much less rigged, but even ideally the public has little direct power, and plenty of positions are still not even elective such as the Supreme Court. Even beyond all that, it still comes down to whose name is on the ballot. Would you say women still have power even …

FYI, this isn't a direct democracy. Having a simple majority of votes does not give women power.

Your personal beliefs now constitute reality? A bit egotistical, don't you think? I'll wait for some real evidence, if you change your mind.

I'd hope she laughs; either it's a joke, or I deserve the ridicule. I think obedience is for pets and subordinates. Any woman I enter a relationship would hopefully have the self-respect to want an egalitarian partnership. Besides, I think we have different metrics for determining a successful relationship.

"Because we're different" is a copout. How are we different, to the extent that we require fundamentally different forms of education to function? What is the basis for this claim?

At least you're being more upfront in your sexism. Why do you think men don't need to be trained similarly to women?

Fascinating. Do you have evidence for this?

To an extent, however training tends to be used for skills, whereas teaching tends to be more intellectual/academic in use. Atheletes are not taught their sport so much as trained in it, nor are physicists trained to calculate outside perhaps early education. Perhaps I'm reading too much into it, but I can't help but think this pattern of usage had some role in your word choice. Besides, if you were using them interchangably I'd expect to see it used within your OP, yet you didn't until I brough…

Only if you consider human behavior as negeserally superior. Incorrect, it also reads like that if one is merely aware of that viewpoint. Between that and the usual redpiller's views on women, it's really obvious. I don't know what you're getting at with the emotional decision thing, but what makes women inherently less capable of reason than men?

Actually ~(and I know you had the opportunity to read my oter posts here)~ I'm just lazy and avoiding work. I write too many essays on my phone as it is. Edit: Nevermind, I thought I brought it up before.

I notice you said "teach" here, when you use "train" regarding women. Is there a reason behind that?
/r/PurplePillDebate01/08/14 01:19 PM

You do not get to decide what is "objectively" misogynistic. By its definition, nobody decides what's objective. It simply is. The judgment of inferiority implicit to the comparison to a dog is pretty obvious, and it's not rubbed away with a half-assed acknowledgment of basic biology. Also, this is just my personal opinion, but if you consider it "training" to become compatible with your partner, I would suspect you have some serious control issues to work out. Have you tried therapy?

trolls aren't good at presenting a clear & coherent argument to show a different perspective. Exactly, so why should I argue in good faith when I can't expect the same from my opponent? Especially when my time is otherwise occupied.

Where in my post did I say they did these things? You didn't. I was following your analogy further. Women do, however, do certain things that work against the nature of a monogamous emotional commitment. As do men. Do men need to be trained like dogs as well?
/r/PurplePillDebate01/08/14 12:56 PM

No, I would say you're being pretty objectively misogynistic.

Thank you for your opinions on RP philosophy. I did not get "empowerment" from her writing, unless self-determination is empowering. It seems to me she acted out of (short-sighted) curiosity, or a desire to experience a novel kind of relationship. By that I mean, perhaps she felt frustrated about having never experienced a casual relationship, and acted upon it.

It wouldn't be a Red Pill opinion if there weren't sweeping generalizations.

I'll accept your explanation of dread game is your interpretation, but it conflicts with the way I've seen it used by other redpillers. From what I've seen the goal of the game is to get her to be "lovey dovey" with the threat you'll leave her for another woman (or even doing so). Actually ending the relationship comes across to me as an undesirable outcome, as implied by the "game" aspect. Thus, threatened/actual infidelity is at least sometimes a justified RP tactic. There's also plate-spinnin…

Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't TRP condone (or at least doesn't condemn) polygyny in men? Perhaps not unfaithfulness itself, but from some of the people here I get the feeling cheating is a justifiable act if a man's SO fails to act to his approval (dread game). If that's true, what other than her gender makes this different?

I really hope you're still answering these. 1) Do you agree with The Red Pill community's essentialist views on gender/sex? 2) If yes, do you believe you fit the model for men or for women? Why?

How is it toxic, then, if it doesn't prohibit self-improvement? I don't see how not focusing on appearance is in itself harmful. Its blue pill because all too often people are led to believe that they should just find someone who 'accepts them for who they are' or to just 'be themselves' instead of carrying out self improvement. We've already concluded "looks aren't important" does not oppose self-improvement, so the comparison is weak. Is it blue pill because it encourages complacency in even o…

its toxic because most people on TRP want to improve and believing looks don't matter is toxic to improvement. Even after I said there is more to self-improvement than appearance you still conflate them. I was hoping for an explanation (from op) how discouraging focus on one attribute - especially one as shallow as appearance - is a toxic attitude.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/07/14 12:44 PM

How simplistic, and yet it still fails to recognize self-improvement is not limited to looks.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/07/14 12:17 PM

Self-improvement isn't limited to physical appearance, though. Even accepting your premise that complacency is a toxic attitude, that phrase only discourages focus on ephemeral beauty. It says nothing about self-improvement in general. Also, none of that explains how it's blue pill.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/07/14 11:42 AM

In a thread on The Red Pill you describe "looks aren't important" as a "toxic blue pill belief." 1) What makes it blue pill? 2) What makes it toxic?

What makes you certain you've presented "the full range" of feminist thought? You didn't bring up gender essentialism vs. Post-structuralism, or views on sex and pornography. Not even a mention of kyriarchy anywhere in your posts. I see greater diversity of feminist thought in Tumblr posts, and I don't even follow feminist blogs. In light of that, your accusation of cherry-picking is laughable.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/07/14 04:52 PM

No, you mentioned - at most - the opinions of crackpots and extremists. I will withdraw my accusation of hostility, however. Your opinion instead seems based on flawed information.

not even sure if it's worth mentioning the all men are rapists and we need to reduce the male population crap and it's insane I would consider this a rather hostile description of feminism. Hostile or very ignorant. If these are even legitimately-expressed opinions made by feminists, then I suspect those feminists represent a small and contentous fraction of feminism, and not anything close to the mainstream. that is what I mean by male sexism. On that issue feminism does address male sexism, in…

If you're not trying to be antagonistic to feminism, why the hostility in describing feminists? why do feminists turn a blind eye to the hate that a decent amount of it supporters get behind? For the same reason Redpillers distance themselves from the hatred and misogyny a decent number of its adherents express. The mainstream often want to reject the extremist elements, but without some kind of central authority nothing can force those extremists to abandon the label. That being said, there's s…

I've always thought the objections to TRP were over its attitude to women. Men interested in an "amoral sexual strategy" would probably not leave for that reason alone. In that sense I don't see why there'd be any mass exodus from the group. That being said I think you're underestimating the number of people who simply give up on The Red Pill without joining one of those groups.

Then what was the point of this comment: You seem to think I've never been sexually harassed by a woman in the workplace before. I was not addressing you, and I see no reason for you to think I was. So why did you say that?

Okay, so why then would you feel you'd enjoy more harassment? I would think the experience would demonstrate why women aren't always thrilled by such attention.

I'm sorry, but I cannot agree your philosophy is based in reality.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/06/14 04:34 PM

I think you're mistaken. By "women as females" I'm referring to the biological role of the female sex, and to an extent the gender roles considered biological traits. By "women as people" I mean their role in society beyond that, in the way men are valued for things other than the ability to fertilize eggs.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/06/14 04:30 PM

It only led to more "equality" among the lower class, which I believe I already said. I would guess only a small fraction of workplace deaths happened to wealthier individuals. Women are underrepresented in many of the more laborous/hazardous jobs. Taking that into account, I would suspect the ratio of deaths by gender would be closer.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/06/14 04:18 PM

As have women. There are perhaps multiple explanations for why that event specifically led to reforms; increased social consciousness of the suffering of workers, the heinousness of the crime, maybe the sex of the victims. However, a lot of workers' rights came from the blood of men, so there's no basis to suggest only women could provoke such a response.

It's not about being special, but about realizing people aren't driven by a formula or script, certainly not one defined by gender. To be honest, I have no idea what point you're trying to make. It almost sounds like you're suggesting it's necessary to stereotype and objectify others, which to me seems rather immature as it suggests you cannot or do not empathise with other people.

Simply speaking woman are just as primal, selfish and hypocritical as you are, don't expect more from them... I would hardly consider myself any of those things, at least in the sense I would not label myself as such. Other people might be, but it's hardly a constant or even a binary, which I think is the point; a model of behavior which assumes people typically act a certain way is overly simplistic. To base one's social behavior around this kind of reasoning is to ignore the agency - thus the …

While the concept of "male disposability" seems to have merit when viewing society in regard to gender, I feel it lacks any consideration for the role class has in the issue, for which I would actually consider to be more relevant. The lower class is almost always the most disposable, especially under authoritarian governments. We can consider the European system of armored knights, noblemen who were anything but disposable on the battlefield. Compare them to the peasantry, which made up the bul…

I said that was the most important reason, not the only. Frankly I suspect these things have a high enough success rate to validate themselves among you - whether or not that validation is the result of a confirmation bias, I do not know - but ultimately it seems to me these things prey on vulnerable, "beta" men to turn their insecurities against women. At least, that's the best reason I can come up with for why you'd reject any advice from a woman that requires expressing any amount of respect.
