Poverty mostly. Grew up poor and black but went to school in an upper middle class white neighborhood in the northeast. Was a great student and athlete but that didn’t matter because my single mom couldn’t afford Abercrombie & Fitch and my “friends” never let me forget it. I’ve been extremely money driven ever since.

Couldn't agree more. They respect you when you stand your ground. Brought a girl home over the weekend and made her a martini that she complained about. I jokingly called her a princess and she got offended and started with the bullshit tests. I said if you're that upset about it I'll call you a cab. I guess she didn't expect that cause she changed her tune real fast.

The entitlement factor today is fucking astounding. I remember in college I'd see women go around the bar and ask every guy to buy them a drink. Some beta would always placate to their requests thinking he'd get some (Spoiler Alert: they didn't) and said girls would end up getting free drinks all night. That was the first time I woke the up to their bullshit.
