I sincerely hope you aren't suggesting I share my problems with girls. I've been down that street, and that shit never works out. Same with friends and family, never share your true feelings. If you ever "listen" and "support" make sure you do so without becoming invested - much easier said than done.

Agreed, however some people are not as fortunate to find TRP in time. If I knew some TRP truths back then, I would have never gone to a psychologist. In my experience they helped me to become aware of what issues I had. What happened after that was me taking responsibility for changing myself. I don't agree with long term therapy, unless you have some serious mental issues. But sometimes ya need somebody to give you a quick "Hey Buddy, Wake the fuck up!"

If you put it like that, I agree. You are way more knowledgeable on the subject than I am. All I can really comment on is my own anecdotal experience from a few years ago and that is: awareness and acceptance leads to improvement. Solid post, I really hope this gets the attention it deserves.

As somebody who has been diagnosed as codependent, I can confirm this. I have broken it down as follows: "Being codependent means living off of other people's problems. Constantly being their therapist and emotional tampon. Caring to such an extreme that you are literally living their lives instead of you own." Through therapy and self reflection I have improved greatly in this area of my life. I sometimes think I have taken it too far, as I have been called a cold person by numerous acquaintanc…

This is what I love about TRP - harsh truths. I appreciate your comment, and though my post erred on the side of just wanting to bust a nut, I must say, as soon as we started talking, there was no way I was going to take things further. This girl was a major turn off, from her body to her personality. In the future, I'll keep my reservations to myself, until I meet the girl face to face.

Thanks for this. I met up with her, she was fairly decent. But good fucking lord was she irritating as fuck. Feminist, with an agenda. I had two drinks then noped out of it. All in all a good learning for me, if this was a HB7+ I would have totally agreed with everything she said just to get into her good books. In the past at least. I was a total dick the whole time. And will be with similar personality types in the future. Thanks for the great advice

Haven't told anybody this. But it made me wake up about my drinking "issue". Went to a bar about a month ago, got talking to this HB7, I could tell she was into leaving with me. Problem was her parents were also at the bar. I decided it was going to take a bit of work to get her out of there. My mistake? I kept chugging beers and shooters. So as I am sitting there getting completely soddered, she comes back from her parents and says that we can leave. I shit you not, as I stand up, I throw up ac…
