Silicon Valley, one of HBO's newer comedy shows, actually touched in this topic on last night's episode. They did it amazingly well, it was hilarious, and the social commentary was on point. What's worse though, voting with your skin colour or voting with your genitals? I say it's all the same mindset, and it's really frustrating that people don't get how stupid it is. It reminds me of that bullshit where people get hired or whatever because they're a woman, or they add "diversity" to the workplace, rather than just hiring based on pure merit.

Yeah, generally I'm against ramping up surveillance and such, but police body cams help everyone. It helps the police protect themselves against false accusations, and it helps protect the public from abusive police officers. I think if you knowingly do that to one person you can go to prison for a while in Canada, and probably other countries. So yeah, quarantine might be a bit light on the punishment side of things, but at least it stops the spread I guess. It's kind of mind blowing that she infected so many, I just had to double check to make sure it was in the hundreds. That's really twisted that she can rationalize destroying so many lives like that.

Good point, I was going to say something about it being only America in reality, but then I realized I don't know how common it is in my own country, Canada. If I had to guess, I'd say a reasonable amount less common than America, but probably still over 50%. I can only hope we've started to shift away from it, and I believe we have.

Yeah, it's not like the boy had even reached sexual maturity yet. I'm definitely not saying it'd be acceptable if he was like 13~, but it wouldn't seem nearly as bad as this. An 8 year old is just so innocent and young, so I'm just really flabbergasted that this type of thing happens.

Agreed. Although, I don't think I've ever seen a sign like this. The equivalent for where I live is for pregnant women only I believe, which is reasonable. Although it should just be pregnant women and parents with babies maybe, seeing as those spots are always empty.

Not even anti-feminism, just anti-radical-feminism will get you a shitstorm sometimes. AKA, if you talk about things rationally and objectively, in an attempt to get equality, you might find lots of offended people. They can see it as an attack, when it's really just trying to be fair to both sides.

Jesus christ, this is kind of terrifying. I saw this happen on Two and a Half Men to I think Charlie and Allan on separate occasions from Rose. I just had a slight laugh, thinking it was mildly amusing. I guess I hadn't taken it seriously because Rose's character just seems so unbelievable and ridiculous.

That sounds like good advice, except one thing, common-law marriage. Does the US not have that? Or do you not get as screwed over in the case of common-law?
