I see it as an argumentum ad hominem of sorts, like stating "what he says is plain bullshit just because he cross dresses" which is not a structured argument to really prove said crossdresser wrong, although op is right pointing out how what the guy said and did was out of place still calling him out on something irrelevant proves nothing.

It sounds like a low self-esteem case, I'd advice op to be careful if the girl is like this but if he really want to go on (and to make her life better) try to rise her self-esteem, as an added bonus it would make a better prospect of her for the op, that's why we are here anyway isn't? to make everyone's life more enjoyable.
