1	[ Removed by moderator ] Feel free to correct me but my knowledge of the Scotsman fallacy was that: A person makes a claim that all people of one group have one characteristic/do one thing Another disproves that by giving an example of a person of that group not doing said thing The first person claims that person isnt a ‘true’ member of the first group The fallacy doesn’t make sense for the argument either way considering how a ‘feminist’ is a self labeled individual rather than a concrete definition. Feminist groups and movements have fought to update laws on sexual assault and rape against men for example. It is ignorant to say that feminism has never fought for men. -6	[ Removed by moderator ] Firstly, my INITIAL claim was that all true feminists are for gender equality. There was no shifting of goal posts as I already made my goal posts clear, therefore the fallacy is not true. Secondly, I agree that feminism isn’t an ideal name, but I don’t have too much of a problem with it. Men and women can obviously be feminine, so I think it’s more of an issue with societal expectations rather than an issue with the actual wording, as feminism isn’t inherent to only women.
