A "public school" in the UK is a top-tier private school (so-called because they were the first schools to admit both Protestants and Catholics). So it's actually reverse snobbery.

I agree with this, but everyone I know is a lefty. I don't think I've ever met anybody who agrees with me politically. It feels rather isolating even when among genuinely tolerant people (i.e. tolerant of political rather than superficial difference).

You've said that it was a lot harder to come out as conservative than to come out as gay. I'm not gay but know exactly what you mean about coming out as conservative. Any tips? Have your politics put any strains on some friendships/relationships you've had?

I thought it wasn't at all bad, considering it came from the BBC. You can't expect a sympathetic hearing when the manosphere admits and even revels in the fact that its views are at the fringes of mainstream opinion. But Roosh was given plenty of time to speak, and was allowed to defend himself over his "legalise rape" article. The quotes from his speech accurately reflect his views.
