How do I go about transitioning from a dating relationship to an LTR? I have a girl who's pretty wonderful and I've been with for a year and a half now. Im just nervous in general about moving beyond a dating style relationship. There is no abundance or "punt her and find a new one" once she moves in. I'm kinda thinking about letting her stay with me during the school year, as she will need to go home for the summer anyway which would mean she's gone before common law kicks in.

God damn am I happy the story had a happy ending. If your family is taking her side then I'm sorry but the entitled attitude has taken root and it's time to jump ship. They are family, yes, but trust and respect is earned, and is never guaranteed. They have shown major disrespect to you and breached the trust that bonds family together. They are no longer family. You'll never be able to trust her again, so there is little point in retaining contact. They'll inevitably come back when they need so…

I'd say so. I found this sub pretty depressed, and there's a lot of anger here, but there's also a Lot of self help and advice on how to be a man: That's the gold.

Trp is about self improvement and creating the life you want to live. It has empowered me to have a very strong and fulfilling relationship, I do my best to lead and provide support for my partner because it makes us both happy. Without TRP I would still be fat, miserable, and lead an unfulfilling life.

You're right, I'm coming mostly from a position of nostalgia rather than spite. It's not my place to tell the users here what to post, as it's as much their community as it is mine. Nothing posted on this sub matters if the readers are not incited to action; preferably self improvement, and anger is a simple manipulation tool.

This is what Trp used to be filled with. This is what I come here for. We must be strong in the face of an ailing society, to be able to defend it and keep happy in the face of what is effectively mounting obstacles. Hard work and perseverance is the only thing that will see you to your goals.

Currently maintaining a 4.0 in engineering. Video games are an easy scapegoat. It's not them, it's your own lack of self discipline. :)

No, it's just the problem is deeper than that. Ive developed a bit of a complex. I used to be 300lbs and as such my self esteem is basically rock bottom despite the fact I've lost most of it. I have no idea how to address the problem so I stifle it by throwing money at the problem since I work hard enough to have situated myself well. It doesn't stem from lack of happiness nor lack of trying. I attempt to connect with people and end up being rejected predominantly by my own mind. I decided a whi…

Been seeing escorts... Figured I'd try this as a more stable alternative.

I've just been getting escorts for the past year or so. I'm thinking of trying this as a more stable option as its a general trend that the escorts I see too much start getting dramatic (mostly just their own drug fueled lives). I told this chick the max I'd shell out was 1k/mo. I'm in the market more for a rent a girlfriend than a true sugar baby in the normal sense of the word where some guy dumps money into a hot girl. That's like the most though. Going to take her for coffee here in an hour …

Make sure you learn so as to not repeat it. You will repeat it, but you can at least stop the descent once you recognize what's going on.. Good luck bro.

Well on the women front I've been trying to get a sugar baby but they so far have been even crazier than normal girls. In life news I am waiting for my marks but I totally think I got my 4.0 in engineering. Fuckin proud of that one. Just enjoying time off and lifting to avoid getting fat off all this Christmas baking.

Alright so yes I spend my weekends playing autism simulators. The question is how do I stop? Apart from backpacking I've never really been the social kind. I study like a mother fucker and am getting 90s currently and then take the weekend off to de-stress which typically just involves voxels. I'm trying to grow a social circle but so many of my peer group is effectively closet losers who are coasting by and just memorizing material to regurgitate it and complain incessantly about program diffic…

Just be smart and detached enough you can bail if you need to. Having an ejector seat doesn't mean you need to use it but you need to be sure about when you have to use it. The plane can be replaced.

I've been going to the same gym for five years now, started as a 320lber who could barely lift the five pound dumbbells. Noone commented. Ever.

The real key to success is to actually tell nobody. Telling people you're going to do x can give just a such validation as actually accomplishing x, so you just keep it to yourself and silently work at it. Then, years down the road some guy who vaguely recognizes you from school comes up to you and starts congratulating you on not being fat anymore. That's success. Real effort isn't realized in a day, it's a steady progress and and increase in the quality of your life.

There's not much you can do but hope he wakes up; if you try and force him into it he's going to resent you. I was a total delinquent until I got mad at having a boring life and being fat, but it took until I was nineteen for that to happen. It was stimulated by being ignored and angry that I couldn't even so much as get a glance by girls. Hopefully he wakes up sooner rather than later. In my travels I've become convinced that until you have been burned by the world it remains a happy wonderland…

Do you gentlemen have guides or other recommended reading for how to actually flirt? I've never learned how. I've been MGTOW and banging escorts every week so I've never had to but frankly I want something steady. A girl basically needs to grab my dick before I know she's into me, so I need information on how to actually read the subtexts to conversation between genders. I've got a couple girls I've approached this school year but I haven't taken things further because I didnt know if they were …

I wanted to be financially independent, and short of winning the lottery, the only way to be truly free is to be rich, or have ownership of assets that allow you to not have to work. I had a friend who worked for an investing company when I had the excess cash, her sales pitch is what got me started.

Basically your standard equities you see suggested. I prefer something managed so I don't ever need to look at it, personally. I aim for things with a historical track record >7% after management expense cuts.

Vouching for this. I've been shunting money away into investments since I was 19. I'm 24 now with 110k in there. Now that I'm back in school I was able to loan against my investments. They're still in the account making money but at the same time I can borrow against them for below prime interest rates at any time. I'm currently y cleared for 24k of no fee funds whenever I need them. Do it early! You can always reevaluate your portfolio later.

I mean you've clearly been at this company a while else you wouldn't give us a giant rant about this. Why not exploit him? Treat this as a temporary career move henceforth and get yourself a massive raise lol. Show this guy all the work you do and manipulate him into believing you're basically holding up the company and then get yourself a nice six figure salary then use that as a leveraging point to find a job at another company with an even higher salary.

Don't suppose you have a source for the 67% of Americans lacking 1k in their bank statistic? That's pretty mind blowing, I'd like some confirmation.

It's better to lift for the wrong reason than to never lift at all. I started lifting for women. -100 lbs and turned my life around because I couldn't get so much as a smile; motivation has to come from somewhere.

I'll never understand how people can grind virtually but neglect grinding real life. I love seeing my strength stat increase. My time in the gym is validated daily lol.

People try to follow a pretty scripted narrative of how their lives should run and anything that deviates from this normal is a cultural rebel.

This was rather enlightening. Been slipping BP in my desire for stability, but I should instead embrace the chaos of the world.

Huh. That'd mean I'm a Herbivore Man. The question is where do I go from here? I've nearly achieved financial independence, I lift, chill and effectively exist all day (video games, and the occasional travel binge). Currently working on the abs I've always wanted, plan is to go to school in the fall, but it's only by questioning our decisions that we can make the right ones.

Vouching for traveling solo. It's basically living your own little adventure and depending on the choices you make can either be a theme park ride or a thriller. I've had both and have never came back the same person. I want to go again. If only because I have nothing else worth living for.
