I mean there are a million different forms of religion that all teach different things using a blanket statement to describe them all seems pretty insufficient.

People use the term atheist to describe both those who claim to know nothing of the existence of god, those who claim to know that god does not exist, and those who openly oppose religion and practice intolerance. So out of the broad spectrum of atheism the only one I believe to be a valid and objective belief to hold is the one where you do not claim to have any knowledge either for or against the existence of a god and are willing to change your mind either way if presented with the evidence t…

What is the difference between an atheist and an anti-theist really? From my experience people who dont believe in the existence of a god tend to just be agnostic, which in my opinion is the objective and scientifically correct viewpoint to adopt. Rarely do people take on the label of atheist unless there is some form of agenda that they are taking on or some sort of unknowable information that they claim to have along with that label as well.

I mean it started out with the right intentions, to embolden women to speak out against men who had hurt them because let's be honest it's hard to have to go through litigation and testify about the most traumatic experience of your life. But unfortunately it radicalized like movements that go political usually do and once you have a bunch of angry people with zero empathy towards any perspective other than your own speaking for a movement then you've become a joke.

I dont think Reades story holds any water either but that's not the point. The point was #MeToo was about believing all women regardless of evidence or of their reputability. That all women had a voice and needed to be heard and their stories shared. That's why it's hypocritical when someone accusing a Democrat doesnt get the same treatment as someone accusing a Republican would.

I just want to know how they explain the vast majority of white guys who aren't wealthy. If wealth is about being white and being male, why doesn't it work 90+% of the time?

If the biggest problem in your entire life is that some old white guys that you dont even know personally dont want to pay for your birth control pills with their tax dollars then your life is probably pretty damn easy. Even those so old privileged white guys have much more legitimate things to worry about then that.

I don't think wanting validation is necessarily always rooted in narcissism, but I think this is the primary reason why. Men are rarely celebrated, when we are it's generally because we achieved something worth celebrating, and most men seem to be fine with this arrangement.

Then you understand why women are not often in executive positions in large companies already. To be an executive you have to give your entire life to the company. Even at the small firm I work at the CEO works 75 hours a week and is constantly travelling. Women value work life balance and spending time with their kids more than men do. It's not a bad thing at all, but it does mean you're unable to work a job that requires you sacrifice your personal life.

"feminist" guys are generally creeps trying to pander to women in a desperate attempt to get laid.

I think the pressure women feel to have to put effort into their appearance before going out generally comes from other women and not men.

I think the issue with Jim Jeffries is that he used to stand out from other comedians due to his dark humor and willingness to go further and be more offensive than most. But he decided he wanted to be mainstream and significantly tamed down his content. Now he just jokes about Trump and the fact that guns are legal in America, like every other comedian on the face of the planet is also currently doing. So yeah he sucks, not because of his political beliefs, but because he sold out.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
