If you scroll up, you’ll see the comment I’m replying to saying we should “pay stay at home parents a full median salary with tax credits”

Lmao do you really believe you can raise 4.4 trillion in tax revenue by “eliminating corn subsidies” and raising the highest marginal income tax rate (spoiler: you can’t)
/r/PurplePillDebate29/07/26 10:50 PM
1

“i know what i heard and we talked about” This sentence is grammatically unintelligible and doesn’t mean anything.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/07/26 10:44 PM
2

Lol you really think you can pay for millions and millions of Americans to all receive $50k/year from the government by taxing the rich? You can take all of the rich’s wealth and you wouldn’t even get close to generating enough tax revenue
/r/PurplePillDebate29/07/26 10:43 PM
3

A 90% highest marginal tax rate, eliminating corn subsidies (which would skyrocket grocery prices), and halving the military budget still wouldn’t be enough to pay for the program. You are proposing that millions and millions of Americans would be paid a “median salary” by the federal government. That would cost more than all federal spending right now combined. It’s absurd

It doesn’t sound like your friend was trying to “appeal” to women. It sounds like he just agreed with the premise that birth rates are declining and that’s a bad thing
/r/PurplePillDebate29/07/26 10:39 PM
2

He told her that she needed to have more babies? Or he just said he shared the concern about declining birth rates?
/r/PurplePillDebate29/07/26 10:34 PM
2

So you didn’t see a woman being told that she needs to have more kids because of the declining birth rates. You saw a man agreeing with a tweet by Elon Musk
/r/PurplePillDebate29/07/26 10:31 PM
2

“it goes like this elon musk post about birth rate man says he agrees imagine the rest” Can you rewrite this sentence in English?
/r/PurplePillDebate29/07/26 10:28 PM

Describe the interaction you’ve seen of a real world woman being told she needs to have children because of declining birth rates. Are you the one who told her that?
/r/PurplePillDebate29/07/26 10:22 PM

Lol so you didn’t see someone in the real world tell a woman she needs to have kids because of declining birth rates, you saw a tweet by Elon Musk
/r/PurplePillDebate29/07/26 10:20 PM

The program you’re proposing would explode inflation over night, cause a mass exodus from the labor force, and basically cause an overnight economic collapse
/r/PurplePillDebate29/07/26 10:19 PM
3

Describe that interaction to me
/r/PurplePillDebate29/07/26 10:17 PM

Have you ever seen someone in real world tell a woman that she needs to have kids because of declining birth rates?
/r/PurplePillDebate29/07/26 10:15 PM

Eliminating corn subsidies wouldn’t generate nearly enough revenue for a stay-at-home-parent UBI
/r/PurplePillDebate29/07/26 10:14 PM
9

But no one is doing that. Did you just make up a scenario to get mad at it?
/r/PurplePillDebate29/07/26 10:10 PM
10

In what world could we ever create a large enough tax base in order to pay millions of stay-at-home parents a “median salary”?
/r/PurplePillDebate29/07/26 10:01 PM

Is anyone trying to use “birth rates” as an “appeal” to women? I thought the “birth rates” problem was just demographic anxiety, whereby declining birth rates in developed countries will lead them to admit more immigrants from undeveloped countries to supplement the population. I’ve never heard anyone tell an individual woman that she needs to have more kids because the birth rates are declining

Educated populaces are pretty easy to control too In fact, if you educate them well enough, they’ll control the population for you

I don’t know, ask them Probably because it’s awkward and means you can’t hook up until the test results come back

I think alignment of values and goals is more useful in a romantic relationship than a “diversity of thought”

Anti-intellectualism and the glorification of manual labor go back way before fascism. I think it has more to do with class antagonism, as manual labor made up the overwhelming majority of the proletariat and academia was reserved for the aristocratic classes
/r/PurplePillDebate16/07/26 09:08 PM
-1

Yeah lowkey being smart is kind of gay But in all seriousness, we’re talking about traditional gendered expectations and stereotypes. At least in the US, manual labor is perceived as more masculine and academic work more… let’s say, “soft”. This isn’t an analysis of what those things actually are in practice, our how they *should* be perceived, just how they *are* perceived within our cultural context
/r/PurplePillDebate16/07/26 09:02 PM
1

Again, we’re confusing two different things. I believe that women are mostly biphobic because they subscribe to traditional gender expectations. I also believe it is a good thing that they are biphobic because it excludes a high-risk pool of sexual partners that are 86 times more likely to have HIV. Both of these things are true
/r/PurplePillDebate16/07/26 08:58 PM
1

Why do you believe straight women are “on the hook” to have sex with you? No one needs a permission slip from HR to deny you sex. Straight men should be getting tested but frankly there is much less of a need for them to. Bisexual and gay men are *86 times more likely to contract HIV*, 46 times more likely to contract syphilis, and more than twice as likely to have any STD at any given time. Women are more likely to contract HIV from having sex with a single bi man than they are to contract HIV …

Well before, we were discussing whether partisan affiliation is a good proxy for ideology, not whether ideology is a good proxy for masculinity
/r/PurplePillDebate16/07/26 07:59 PM

I think STD risk is the legitimate reason for women to avoid bi men. I think traditional notions about sexual dynamics is the more realistic reason why (some) straight women are actually biphobic in practice It’s possible that hetero female aversion to their partner engaging in homosexuality is an evolutionary impulse meant to protect them from STDs
/r/PurplePillDebate16/07/26 07:55 PM
1

If you know who Lindsey Graham is (was), you are already in a small subset of well informed citizens who understand political ideology Most people have a very low-resolution understanding of politics, and just generally think of Democrats as the woke party and republicans as the anti-woke party. To this end, partisan affiliation is a fine proxy for low-resolution political ideology
/r/PurplePillDebate16/07/26 07:51 PM

Inferiority no, submission yes. As is the main idea of this thread, many women are still attracted to traditionalist gender ideals, such as a dominant man. A man who sexually submits to another man is seen as submissive and therefore less sexually attractive by many - but definitely not all - heterosexual women. I don’t really think that men who exclusively top are bisexual - that’s just being Mediterranean
/r/PurplePillDebate16/07/26 07:46 PM

Why do you think it is that women expect their male partners to make $20,000 more than men expect their female partners to?
/r/PurplePillDebate16/07/26 07:33 PM

Liberal men, like OP, who see too many Red Pill clips on their social media and start associating conservatism with jacked crypto scammers
/r/PurplePillDebate16/07/26 07:32 PM

Most women participating in a casual dating scene are not asking their partner to take an STD test before hooking up. And if they did, you would call them biphobic Also, frankly, a lot of women are turned off by the visual of their boyfriend being topped by another man
/r/PurplePillDebate16/07/26 07:23 PM

I’m a communist and a benevolent sexist. I’m not convinced that intersexual dynamics are strongly controlled by the political ideology of the partners. I think relationships in the United States are pretty egalitarian as a baseline (relative to history and to the rest of the world), and to the extent that couples do fall into traditional gender roles, I see that happen with liberal couples as often as conservative The red pill guys and the liberal “soy boys” are both outliers
/r/PurplePillDebate16/07/26 07:19 PM
3

“What about academia and hard sciences?” Lol those are also unmasculine
/r/PurplePillDebate16/07/26 07:13 PM

STD risk We can try to be politically correct about this, but men who have sex with other men are twice as likely to contract STDs and bi men specifically are five times more likely to be carrying HIV compared to straight men

I’m humored by the idea of a guy who gets on TRT and suddenly starts roid-raging about immigrants Might unironically be what happened to Joe Rogan
/r/PurplePillDebate16/07/26 07:01 PM

Mmm, idk, I’ve met a lot of self-described liberal women who are seeking men who make significantly more than them. Women as a whole report wanting their male partners to make $110,000 on average, which is almost three times the median female income of $35,838 ($50,982 for full time female workers) I don’t think it’s a stretch to say that a significant portion of women - even liberal women - still prefer men who perform the traditional “provider” role
/r/PurplePillDebate16/07/26 06:59 PM

100% this. When I go to coastal blue state, all I see are nominally liberal young men who are in great shape and doing well for themselves. Every time I go home to my red state town, the men are obese and chowing down on Cookout every day
/r/PurplePillDebate16/07/26 06:43 PM

This idea that liberal men should be neutered “soy boys” is a byproduct of the Clintonite neoliberal era that shifted the Democratic Party from a working class base to a college-educated upper-middle class base. If you want to be a leftist but are worried that women still select for rugged confident men, retvrn to tradition and become a rugged New Deal trade unionist
/r/PurplePillDebate16/07/26 06:39 PM
10

I agree with your point generally but a lot of liberal women I meet still do filter for a ‘provider’ - someone with an income higher than theirs who can finance the dating stage well and can provide a cushy life if they decide to build a family And there’s nothing wrong with that rational preference, but I would concede that it is moreso a conservative/traditionalist preference
/r/PurplePillDebate16/07/26 06:34 PM
16

Why is “confidence, a strong work ethic, and a rugged body” associated with conservatism? You should still be oozing confidence and hitting the gym irrespective of whether you support universalized healthcare and abortion rights

The most base-level explanation is simple: (1) They find younger women attractive and want to have sex with them (2) Younger women are easier to manipulate (3) Younger women are more open to casual sex I've also heard "red-pillers" intellectualize it with the following arguement: (A) Women's "value" is highest when they are young and attractive (B) Men's "value" is highest when he is older and is making much more money in his career (C) Women are socially 'allowed' to leverage their "high value"…

I think she thinks I’m still in a relationship. We ended on good terms, our relationship ended because I got a girlfriend while we were FWBs

I had a friend like you who had everything he needed except for confidence. He fixed a lot of this by going on Omegle and talking to random people for hours every night. Weird method but it seemed to work on him Confidence can only be gained through doing. So force yourself to act, go on dates and you’ll eventually get more and more charismatic. If you need a more controlled environment there’s nothing wrong with doing the Omegle Method

What makes you think it oozes weakness? In my case, it’s a girl in college I dated for a year and then hooked up with for another year. We always had really good chemistry and sex and it’s definitely something I’d wanna do again
/r/seduction12/05/26 10:32 PM

Nah I think you’re right. I keep feeling like I need to somehow justify why I’m reaching out after so long, but it’s probably easier to just start the conversation and go from there

I wouldn’t advertise your healthy eating, but I also wouldn’t worry about it being a problem. Women are not going to like your profile because your macros are good, but they also won’t be worried about them

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
