I just finished The Rise of Theodore Roosevelt and loved it. What's your opinion of the next two books in the trilogy?

Just trying to explain how we need to take responsibility for our own desires to get laid and how I've fucked it up. For me it's a 90-10 thing. We decide to do all the work in engaging and she decides to leave or stay.

The best example I can think of is back in highschool with two girls I was friends with. I'm probably slightly more attractive, or at least less invested than both of them. The first girl asks the hotter one if she wants me to put sunscreen on her (we were by the pool). They both look at me, and instead of motioning for the sunscreen I look at the hotter for her answer. She of course says no, even though I can confidently say that our aquaintanceship was before and after that mostly her wanting …

Yup already is. Ultimately I am responsible for myself. It works out for the best this way. Again, great thanks to this sub for allowing me and others to get this kind of thing out.

Last night I think I was. The pill has a bitter taste to it but what can you do. Gotta roll with reality right.

Haha absolutely. Like I said I'm in the final stages. To use a kind of gay analogy I think I let it sit in my mouth and taste it for a while (logically) and now emotionally I'm swallowing it. I know this is newbie shit but this is all still pretty crazy from what I was told my whole life. I look forward to bringing it into my experience as wholistically as possible though

Thank you. What I don't understand about "discipline" is that it seems like it only applies to what we don't enjoy doing. If I'm passionate about a project I will work on it endlessly until I die of frustration or I think it's as good as I can make it to make it successful. PS this just occurred to me but maybe all the percieved negative traits we see in women are actually positive in a way based off of your idea of self improvement. For instance a woman will naturally not help her or any man im…

I get it. Ive only recently became conciously of it recently. But looking back it's something that was always there in my "bluest of pill days". I guess as people isnt phrasing it perfectly. But as romantic interests definitely. For now I think the solution is to only be interested in fucking until a girl really makes me want something different. And to not be interested in friendships that aren't good. I don't know. To switch from blue to red is really jarring. A lot of unanswered questions, bu…

I forgot to say thank you to the community by the way. I initially had my "eyes opened" by Patrice o Neal. And while that was great it helps to know more than one man's perspective. These two subs helped greatly with that and I'll always appreciate it.

Cool post. I just got started on letting my past misconceptions and my anger and dissapointment flow through my heart and all that jazz. It's something I realized I used to spend all my energy avoiding, covering up my weakness from myself instead of learning from them. It's a cool feeling getting through them instead, and it's kind of fun since it's actually not easy.

You'll probably fuck up. Truth is you'll never do anything perfectly, you can only get better. If a girl's kissing you then you've got that going for you, why worry about getting it perfect? When's the last time you did anything perfectly the first time? Just have fun. You're gonna be here for a while one day you'll be on your millionth kiss and it won't mean shit. I get where you're coming from though.

Any episode you can point to that helped you? The black Phillip show changed how I conciously think but I can't get into Dante's show

Very cool. That makes a lot of sense. Thanks for sharing. Definitely something to work on and I see how it won't 'click' behaviorally right away.

Cool. I definitely agree I'm generalizing. I'll check out NMMNG again. I remember the first time I found it it all felt a little too obvious, but that was before I found Patrice O Neal or useful TRP posts, so it might be worth taking a second look at. Authenticity is key, and you're right, it can be difficult to figure out what is true instinct and what is instinct based off of what you think is expected of you.

He did better with girls than other people at his fame level at the time.

I don't know man. My template for this thing is Patrice O Neal, and he was by no means an incredible looking guy. I think the mind has a lot to do with it. We all know that guy that doesn't measure up looks wise to his girl.

Haha this is sick. What's your favorite historical literature? Red pill or otherwise. If it's really too much for the untrained to read then I'd love a passage or two w/ your take on it.

I'm not a Trump fan but he got like 42% of women to vote for him. So it's not the most out there thing in the world.

Men have the compass to life and women have the compass to men. Obviously this is a generalization and it works on a spectrum, some women can be good at navigating themselves through life alone and some men can naturally navigate getting everything the want from women on their own. But to me it explains a lot about attraction and why women like certain qualities in their men that shows they can navigate life well.

Think of it like when a chick says she thinks the shirtless ripped dude is douchey.

Have you found there to be any positive aspects to having to keep up frame 24/7 or is it only a drag?

Very cool, thank you. I tried Doris Kearns Goodwin's book about Teddy and Taft but I couldn't get into it. I'm finding I enjoy history a lot, but they have to be people-centric to hold my attention. When I pick it up I'll let you know what I think of it.

I'm 20 and have two books so far! Team of Rivals: The Political Genius of Abraham Lincoln and The Dark Side of Camelot (about the Kennedys). Of course I own other books I'm still reading, but I don't find them engaging enough to finish so I doubt they'll make it long term.

Yeah I just think we all have a mix of the qualities above so it's harmful to describe it as binary. That's just me though

Personally I have a problem with terms like Chad, Beta, Alpha etc. It uses a somewhat judgmental short hand for something that could be better understood and explained if we used our own words to describe it.

A girl's SMV comes from only how she's treated sexually while a guy's SMV can come from how he improves his overall life. This explains the difference between men and women if you assume at least 50% of our energy is focused on thinking about and improving our SMV (which is basically our general value as well for the most part). If a guy is a boss, high SMV. If he's a good guitarist, high SMV. etc etc. A girl is only improving her SMV by improving her looks and by how guys and to a lesser extent…

Louis CK and Stern did a bunch of acid. Along with the beatles etc. I don't think it necessarily made them or anything but there's a difference between trying something and being addicted. I don't believe psychedelics are typically addictive.

Shrooms got me back in touch with myself I think. Being on shrooms lets you see your own insecurities and shit like that, accept them and move on. Which is what capable people can do with or without drugs. What you have to remember is most people are defined by their weaknesses which makes them take advantage of people who assume otherwise. The key is to be as good to yourself as possible, and as good to others as they allow you to be. Don't assume they have a handle on their flaws just because …
