Honestly, I wouldn't do it. It would be just one more thing to worry about and I'm sure your height isn't something teachers are considering when writing letters of recommendation. I think most teachers would be willing to write good letters of recommendation if you have decent grades as they would want their students to succeed and it makes the school look better to have more of their students accepted into finer colleges.

Women tend to live more in the present than men, and the idea of going back to old prospects is more of a male way of thinking. Females move on quicker and their interest in reconnecting with guys they haven't seen in a couple of years is usually limited. While a guy may hold out for a woman to change her mind, girls usually don't think that way and going back to someone they haven't seen in awhile seems like a step backwards for them.

You're right. I applied to a few different things like that and Cedar Point was the one that panned out.

I'd say by seeking out new experiences. I can relate to your post as I was an outsider in high school and also felt like I missed out on things that should have happened for me. I realized that my comfort zone hadn't worked for me and I needed to expand my horizons. Shortly after high school, I took a summer job at a well known amusement park in my country (United States) that offered employee housing. This experience exposed me to people I wouldn't have otherwise met and I made a few friends, b…

If what they're saying or how they're acting seems forced = cringe If they seem at ease and enjoying themselves = funny

There are some chicks that really dig reptiles and snakes. Having a pet snake will help you connect with one of them and that connection will be way better for you than any girl who doesn't share your interests.

I think the bigger issue is why you can't leave your job for the next 3 1/2 years. There are plenty of other social outlets to meet women like Tinder, Bumble, Hinge, going to bars and clubs, meetup groups, etc. Coworkers come and go. It may be awkward now, but 6 months from now none of them will care. Besides being a virgin at 20 isn't abnormal.

I'm in my 30's and I use both Tinder and Bumble. Tinder is quantity and Bumble is quality. I've had more matches on Tinder but better matches on Bumble. It's easy to get matches on Tinder but there are more flakes and bots to sort through. The girls I've met on Bumble were more serious about meeting up and were more relationship-oriented. Girls on Tinder seemed more about looking for the better deal and less about starting a relationship. Bumble seems more to be straightforward dating whereas Ti…

I was mostly referring to the women I've met from dating apps that were in the 35+ age bracket. There are definitely women who are over 35 and single through no fault of there own, but the ones who seem to have personality issues appear to be the greater percentage of this demographic.

Not enough red dye in the world for all these flags.

If they're 35+ and single, it's a definite red flag and probably indicates that they have a challenging personality, financial problems, or just aren't that good with people. Below 35, I give the benefit of the doubt as they could have been focused on a career or furthering their education.

I wouldn't rush to exchange Instagram accounts before the first date. Sharing your Instagram takes away some of the mystery that would lead a girl to want to meet up IRL and she may figure that the date wouldn't be that interesting if the IG account ends up answering most of her questions.

Realizing that the stakes are actually pretty low for alot of things in life and an outcome of rejection isn't going to make or break you as a person.

-Don't get stuck on a small set of ideas or hung up on how a certain circle of people views you. -Be open to diversifying your work experiences and your hobbies. One of the things I wish I did when I was younger was try out a broader range of hobbies and part-time jobs so I could be more versatile in my skill set. -Date as much as possible when you're young. A bad date is better than not dating because at least you can get a good story out of it and gain more social experience. -Say yes to as ma…

I've attempted to fill the social void with Tinder, Bumble, driving for Uber and playing some games where you can interact with people by video chat while playing.

It may depend on what region you're in. I used Tinder and Bumble in a major US city - Phoenix - and have gotten a number of dates. When I tried it out while visiting the South, I was typically unmatched as soon as I said that I wasn't from the area. I'm not sure where you're located but it could be cultural differences regarding openness to meeting people online.

One suggestion would be to add some surrounding context to your approaches. A cold approach that is out of the blue and sounds rehearsed may be offputting and come across unnatural, like you're trying to reach a certain quota. This may go against the grain of this subreddit, but you may be better off using data apps like Tinder or Bumble where the people are definitely looking.

It may be worth considering something more flexible that has a social component, like Uber or Lyft. As a bartender, you'll get stuck working the nights everyone goes out which can limit your social life. Plus many of the people coming in may be too drunk to have the bandwidth to hold a good conversation. I'm just going off my experiences but having worked in a bar and as an Uber Driver, driving provided me much more of an opportunity to meet people.

Our society conditions us to have a fear of missing out and to think the grass is greener on the other side. Maybe 10% of college parties are actually worth remembering. What did you get your degree in?

Went to Vegas with a friend and his girlfriend years ago. We saw the Penn & Teller magic show, Striptease, and did the Fremont Street zipline. I'd highly recommend seeing Penn & Teller. Vegas is a somewhat expensive destination but we stayed at an older property called the Sahara which was cheaper than more upscale casinos such as Caesar's Palace or the Bellagio. I don't know if they do this anymore but we bought 24 hour passes that allowed us to eat at a variety of participating buffets at a di…

I wouldn't expect this to go anywhere. She's pointing out reasons why she can't text for the next couple of days right from the get go. Someone more interested would say something like "what are your plans for this weekend?" as opposed to talking about how busy they are.

This isn't unfamiliar territory for me as I have a high pitched voice for a male and went through some speech therapy as a kid. My speech issues were caused by recurrent ear infections I had when I was very young to give some background. Here are some thoughts based on my experiences: -Usually guys will roast you more for your speech than girls. The only times I've seen girls act that way is when they are in the presence of a dude who is making those kind of jokes. Guys will make fun of it becau…

I think there would be more hope for him if he were the one directly asking the question. It would show a certain level of awareness of his situation and a desire to change what is going on. Since the question is being asked by a coworker, it is unclear how much his circumstances would change as it doesn't sound like he is as concerned as the OP.
