I'm not sure if this belongs here but I believe it's relevant!Agreed. US has it bad too. I just wish ours was wasted like this instead of police lawsuits and funding breakthroughs in medical for them to sell it at a 3000% price hike. | /r/PussyPassDenied | 18/01/21 01:31 AM
She gets a number to a strip clubLol, I know exactly what I'm talking about. It isn't straw man. The fact these guys make a ton of money while their workers can't afford basic needs is ridiculous. You literally defined living wage. They are not meeting basic needs. If they are, why are fast food workers on food stamps and low income housing? Socialist programs provided due to nobody being able to provide them a living wage. (It was called a living wage back then, it isn't a buzz word). Look at New York. Multiple people bunking … | /r/PussyPassDenied | 19/03/20 09:10 PM
She gets a number to a strip clubDisagree completely. Living wage is a wage that keeps up with inflation year after year. It has no base point. I could be wrong, but minimum back in the 70s equates to something like $20/hr now with inflation. And a lot of blue states did pass it. Colorado and California and NY off the top of my head. Colorado is doing it over "x" years for $15. It's almost as if we have a dwindling middle class, lower home ownership, less children, and higher debt to income ratios than any other generation. Tho… | /r/PussyPassDenied | 19/03/20 08:29 PM
She gets a number to a strip clubThat is one way to look at it. Another is the fact that a living wage isnt being paid to their workers. Ill concede them making 500million year if their workers were making a living wage. I honestly don't care how it gets resolved. It needs to happen by government because they are not doing it themselves. I do fine myself, so this isn't me trying to get mine. Plenty of millionaires and billionaires share my ideaology as well. The facts support it. If you want links, I'll provide them when I'm no… | /r/PussyPassDenied | 19/03/20 07:33 PM
She gets a number to a strip clubMan, they absolutely collude. Telecoms especially. | /r/PussyPassDenied | 19/03/20 06:33 PM
She gets a number to a strip clubThe problem is only one of them benefits society as a whole long-term. One benefits society short-term. When you get companies that collude then everybody loses. | /r/PussyPassDenied | 19/03/20 04:00 AM
She gets a number to a strip clubMan o man. You really are up there huh. I'll dumb it down for you too. If the entire market acts like that you get: people graduating with more debt than they can realistically pay back within 5-10 years. Can't afford homes due to said debt and virtually tanking other aspects of economy. Rent is now more than 40% of People's monthly income even though most financials advise no more than 20%, are one to two paychecks away from bankruptcy and somehow, somehow, it's their fault and not the companie… | /r/PussyPassDenied | 19/03/20 02:47 AM
| -1 | She gets a number to a strip clubCapitalism falls flat because it doesn't work for society. You act like that CEO did everything on his own. His success came from the people that worked it. That's like voting against taxes for roads even though you use them all the time (general statement). Capitalism would never give back to society if they didn't get a tax break for it. It's inherintly greedy and destructive. Without regulations and fair wages, society crumbles. I say this as someone who 100% believes in free market but under… | /r/PussyPassDenied | 19/03/20 01:59 AM |
She gets a number to a strip clubWorld wide figures of economic equality. I disagree completely with you. I should not be making 100mil a year while my workers are making 7.25/hr. | /r/PussyPassDenied | 19/03/20 01:29 AM
She gets a number to a strip clubOnly thing is disagree with is how much they make vs the lowest paid employee. Tons of studies have found that paying your lowest paid employee a real wage increased productivity, loyalty, happiness, customer service and values. 100-1 is the sweet spot. Not 1000-1. And when you say grow the company that's great. But that doesn't grow the economy for the average american. Imagine if 99% Americans could afford to invest 5% of each check into the market and 401k's. | /r/PussyPassDenied | 19/03/20 12:40 AM
She gets a number to a strip clubMan, that's literally any generation. Hippies?? Same thing. I do believe healthcare should be free and schooling because we as people work and pay taxes for stuff and I'd like it to go back to me as an individual and us as a society. The rest of people who want free stuff while being lazy and not contributing to society can starve and die. In fact you can be succulent to the system and not work but I'd hardly call that living. Governmental benefits are terrible to survive on but you will survive… | /r/PussyPassDenied | 19/03/20 12:36 AM
