New Study on Meditation and the BrainYou should try to give sitting meditation a shot. The states of mind you can get from it are really profound. It's hard to talk about unless you've done it, but it's much much different than something you can achieve from just trying to be present while doing other activities. | /r/TheRedPill | 22/02/16 02:57 AM
New Study on Meditation and the BrainIf you haven't practiced regularly, I wouldn't recommend reading anything at all. It's my personal opinion that you only really start to benefit from reading after a few months of regular practice - just do simple breath awareness. I had a similar problem to you when I first started - what really helped me was finding a specific place (in my case, a local park) and time where I would go every day and just meditate. Having a separate environment devoted to nothing but meditation made it much easi… | /r/TheRedPill | 21/02/16 05:02 PM
New Study on Meditation and the BrainI try to stay away from courses on stuff like this for that reason - most of the time it's just scam artists. Though to be fair, you won't get more than basic techniques from a ten day course in any kind of meditation - usually to get to an advanced level, you work with a tutor (usually in a monastery) for months to years. Vipassana and Zen aren't mutually exclusive - Vipassana just means a type of awareness meditation, which involves focusing on a single thing. The most basic type of meditation… | /r/TheRedPill | 21/02/16 04:18 PM
New Study on Meditation and the BrainI've read both. Both are good, but for a beginner I'd definitely recommend Mindfulness in plain english. +1 to the fact that it's free online too. | /r/TheRedPill | 21/02/16 04:16 PM
New Study on Meditation and the BrainCheck out mindfulness (Vipassana or Samata) meditation. From what I've seen of TM, it seems a little "cultish" but mindfulness meditation has tons of info out there all for free, and very easily accessible. | /r/TheRedPill | 21/02/16 03:53 PM
New Study on Meditation and the BrainMindfulness in plain english is the better book - It's more practical and also more illuminating about what meditation is trying to do. | /r/TheRedPill | 21/02/16 03:52 PM
How I stopped being poor AKA financial fitnessNice man, always great to see. Who wants to have to manage every nickel for the rest of their life and not touch the majority of their money until their best years are gone? No thanks. | /r/TheRedPill | 21/02/16 07:13 AM
How I stopped being poor AKA financial fitnessMy family put over 50k into apple twenty years ago. Umad? It's simple: look at which companies contribute lots of value in a unique way, and invest money in them. Also, actively managed funds are a joke: If you have under 100k, your priority should be life cycle funds, then index. If you invest in an actively managed fund, you're literally paying them to get lower returns than a life cycle or index would give you. | /r/TheRedPill | 21/02/16 07:08 AM
How I stopped being poor AKA financial fitnessOr you can replace all of this with a new "Iron Rule": Be successful enough where you don't qualify for a roth ira and don't have to think about any of this. | /r/TheRedPill | 21/02/16 07:07 AM

Tinder: Been using it for months, 0 matches.Nothing to do with Sanders. Why would girls pick a mediocre option when they have access to the best? We would all do the exact same thing. | /r/seduction | 01/02/16 02:57 AM
Tinder: Been using it for months, 0 matches. This is terrible advice. The way he is right now isn't working, and your 'just be yourself' advice is for people who live in a fantasyland. He's here because he's not happy with the way he is and he's willing to change because he wants better results. Telling him to not change anything and just 'liven up' his photo a bit is unrealistic. You're trying to give him a short term, small dose of comfort at the expense of making the rest of his life a shadow of what it could be. There's nothing wrong w… | /r/seduction | 31/01/16 06:54 PM
Tinder: Been using it for months, 0 matches. For sure. I actually commented somewhere else that I advocated him cleaning up his body/fashion but that it wouldn't be as effective for cold approaching. | /r/seduction | 31/01/16 05:04 PM
Tinder: Been using it for months, 0 matches. This should be higher. This is why average people have no success on tinder and the top 1% get laid left and right. | /r/seduction | 31/01/16 02:39 PM

Tinder: Been using it for months, 0 matches.Your picture makes you come across as very average/boring. I've been right where you are and I've gotten a lot better, but it takes time. I highly recommend contacts, exercising/diet, and getting better clothes. It's a pain in the ass but it helps a LOT for online dating. If you're doing cold approach not as much. | /r/seduction | 31/01/16 10:33 AM
