People who strongly believe they are victims of -ism tend to actively look for attacks by -ists and misidentify normal setbacks and common annoyances experienced by nearly everyone as examples of -ism.

The problem with that definition is it ends up being broadly applied to a wide array of sexual interests in minors, but when people hear the label attached to someone, their assumption defaults to the sex with a 10 year old scenario. So you end up with someone who is attracted to 16-17 year olds being grouped with someone who has sexually abused a pre-adolescent child.

Almost there. You got the two females right, but you need to dig out a 6 foot grave and have the men stand in their own coffins, so at the end of the game the women can put them down.

Right, so she doesn't want equality, she wants female superiority. Male advantages and a achievements are a result of the patriarchy, while female advantages and achievements are a result of the superiority of females, despite the ever-oppressive patriarchy.

Also: "In high-income countries suicide accounts for 81% of violent deaths in both men and women." So if 81% of violent deaths of men and 81% of violent deaths of women in high-income countries are suicides, and men in high-income countries die by suicide at 3.5x the rate of women in high-income countries, the implication is men are dying violent deaths 3.5x more frequently than women in high-income nations. Sounds like an epidemic.

Page 17 of the study (PDF pg 20) shows the table of suicide rates. Page 20 (PDF pg 23) is the Suicide rates by sex part of the study.

That's terrible. It seems like a combination of general distrust of men having anything to do with kids, and some morons basically viewing school for younger kids as glorified daycare. Just goes to show the discrimination against male staff at schools is more common and often worse than discrimination against women in an office job. But we know which gets the attention of the public. As a male in a technical field, it would be tough to convince me to tutor / volunteer at a school or to ever teac…

I'm sure the SJWs will say its always worse to fear being raped than to fear being feared, but it really does get old spending so much time making sure you don't do anything to fuel paranoia.

This is par for the course in our hyper sexualized, pedophile obsessed nation. Whether it be DHS or a random passerby, people are seeing the worst, not the best, in others. As a man, expect to get this treatment when around children, particularly females. These pedophile patrols think what they do benefits society, but the reality is they're turning us into paranoid freaks.

Just a mom empowering her kids by teaching them to fight patriarchy. If she gets arrested I'm sure the judge will see the merit of her teaching moment and release her so she can go on mothering that child to success. /s

No, he must have terrorized her into shooting a porno with his daughter and he planned to sell the video on his pedo darkwebs. Women aren't pedophiles, that's strictly a male thing. Lock this dude up!

Somehow I can already see it -- law to extend paternity leave on governor's desk. NOW opposes this law, because it's unfair to women. It puts an undue burden on women to provide for their family financially, while their playdohphile husbands sit home fondling the kids. We cannot divert resources toward men's issues until women are given their due in our society.

I agree with them. It's disgusting that someone would create a novel invention that acts as a preventative measure against an undesirable outcome. I mean seriously, we need to teach men not to rape. You should never teach or design preventative measures to protect against life's unfortunate outcomes. It's disgusting that we would distribute condoms or birth control to our children to prevent pregnancy. Teach our savage kids not to have sex. That's the only way to prevent teen pregnancy. /s/…

We support men and don't want men crushed by alimony, but this bill is unjust to women for reasons I will explain in the following essay: Patriarchy /s
/r/MensRights27/08/14 12:49 PM

How dare they try to reduce alimony when man is out of work. The woman should not be at the mercy of the patriarchal swings in the economy. The man is privileged by the patriarchy to be able to work, so he owes the woman her due not afforded by the patriarchy. Men must work, as they're privileged to do so. /s

/u/FeministMother is a nasty troll. His/her vile filth is mostly about genocide against males, but includes hatred of the Jews, compete with racial epithets and all. She is a 25 year old social worker who majored in women's studies... so no MSW or LCSW. She also has 5 & 10 year old kids at one moment, and then a girl and a life partner the next. Ie: total bullshit. GFY, your troll privilege is showing, you cis troll abusive trolligarchist.

We can't let men take leave to be with their children, because men are pedophiles and they'll use the time off to abuse their newborns and beat their wives. The only place for men is at work in coal mines or in jail.

Very well written. It's funny to read some of the feminists in the comments section rebutting with proof of the many benefits of circumcision, the fight for women to be able to serve in the military, some rubbish about paternity cases, and so on. Some of them will admit feminism argues at times for the wrong things, but when confronted with real examples of gender inequality favoring women, they always deny the claims.

This is the type of legislation we can expect with emotional mob rule wins over rational, data driven legislation. The sex offender registry laws we have are some of the most counter productive and unconstitutional criminal statutes on the books. Not only do they not help, they make matters worse. The longstanding culture of stranger danger alarmism needs to stop. Men are viewed with suspicion for being in proximity to kids and feminists assure us they walk the streets of America in dire fear of…

I'm annoyed by the men who second guess any man defending himself with physical force (no matter how minimal) against a woman. Or worse, the men who jump in as white knights to the rescue. Stop saying how easy it is for a man to simply walk away or ignore a woman while she's going for heavier or sharper objects to strike the man with. Or that he needs to get a psychology degree to better understand her. I'd like to see how those guys would really react if it happened to them.

Time Warner Cable was spun off years ago so even though Time Warner and TWC share the Time Warner part of their names, and share a HQ location, they're no longer connected beyond that... They're entirely separate businesses. Also Comcast successfully bought TWC. It just needs to be approved by the feds. Beyond that it's already a done deal.

We need to leverage technology for this. I've been arguing for a while that we should blanket the interior of every home with security cameras feeding straight to the police. That way I can be kept safe from myself by the loving and caring and watchful eyes of the police. Just imagine... I'm about to do something illegal and boom! SWAT rescues me, gives my dog the peaceful rest it needs, and takes me to the safety of a prison cell. Best of all, your sex acts will all be recorded and stored on po…

While it says we should teach our sons to be that kind of man at the bottom, I'm waiting for extremists to deride it for victim blaming. Isn't the current prevailing wisdom that women shouldn't have to learn or be taught anything, and that the men around them need to learn to cater to their needs?

We always seem to be told men are the initiators of every sexual act, and women just relent and let it happen. It almost subtly implies every act of sex is a minor form of rape by men, and that female partners just oblige to satiate the never end lust for sex by men. The reality is women want sex, too. I imagine that woman who took advantage of you while you were drunk has done so before to other men. I'm sure it's very easy for her, and she sees absolutely nothing wrong with it. Of course if yo…

The current administration likes to trot out bogus or manipulated statistics to pander to their base. They did the same thing with Fast & Furious and the wage gap garbage. I don't trust a single number that comes out of Washington at this point.

I assure you it's not. Having a wife in social work, I can tell you these are pretty textbook explanations in her field. The leaders of her field spend plenty of time arguing the semantics of those words, and they generally end up carving white men out of those words.

A lot of that described behavior just has to do with being humble or courteous. Look at Japanese culture for example... they always say sorry for minor things. What they're advocating is women drop all manners and start being crude beasts. Cause being decent is somehow misogynist??

The stranger danger insanity toward men is crazy. Child abuse almost always happens in settings familiar to the child by a familiar person. No need to freak out because some single guy enjoys going to the park, or god forbid flying places. To be so paranoid to believe a man poses a risk to your child on an airplane -- one of the most controlled public environments -- is crazy.

Well, for one when the president of the United States mentions it in his state of the union address, that might be one source people draw from. Falsehoods are often perpetuated by leaders and media at the highest levels. In the case of the wage gap and similar statistics, you have feminist leaders willing to bend and break the truth combing through data sources looking for statistics they can use to mislead women and make them feel further victimized. The feminist movement has devolved into an i…

Too much erosion of due process in the US has origin in "keeping us safe." Most times, it's protecting kids from strangers, protecting women from DV, or preventing terrorism. That unholy trinity of legislative basis has done an awful lot to shred due process and many Constitutional protections over the years...

I was mostly joking, but there are actually some places where this isn't explicitly said, but it is culturally implied and enforced by paranoid parents. Hang around a park or playground as a man and you'll see what I mean. Take your camera out at a park or beach and you'll see even faster what I mean. Also don't forget the airline policies about men sitting next to unaccompanied minors.

What a disgusting display of inequality. Yes, boys and girls are different, but the idea that boys want it when they're 14 and girls do not is based on ridiculous cultural misconceptions about the sexes. From the time boys hit puberty to the day they die, society says their thirst for sex is unquenchable. Think about the pressure this sort of culture puts on young boys. If you aren't ready for sex with women, you must be gay or creepy. Also, just because something seems desirable at that age doe…

This reminds me of cases where children are conditioned by police and counselors into believing something bad happened to them when it actually didn't (eg: the Bakersfield abuses cases). I notice a common theme in many of these cases. The accuser is fine for a while, then goes and talks to some female elder -- a counselor or professor-activist -- who then convinces them they've been raped. Obviously if she had sex with a guy from a good family, it was rape! He fits the profile for a rapist (he h…

You're right. I've seen the error in my ways. We need to confine all men to small padded rooms. It's the only way the world can be safe. Also, circumcision doesn't go far enough. Castration? Now you're talking!

Wouldn't it be much more reasonable for society as a whole to deal with and help fix rape, misogyny and other crimes than direct hate toward one gender, telling them "fix it!" These posts telling men to self-police their gender are really odd. I just imagine an equivalent where people start going on tirades against blacks because of crime statistics, telling them to self-police their people better. It's damn near unimaginable.

Unfortunately one of the near universal realities of criminals is they take the path of perceived least resistance. People they perceive as smaller and less likely to present a strong resistance are more likely to be targeted. I'll agree women tend to be more vulnerable targets out on the streets. Obviously not all fears are backed up by realities. Some of the stranger danger fears about child abductions and predators in recent years are mostly due to media frenzy and 24/7 coverage. Others fears…

In my experience since so much burden is traditionally placed on men to initiate relationships and make the first move, most men are actually quite well versed in rejection. I've heard of a number of women who aren't so used to it, and resort to name calling (mostly gay bashing or creeper labels) when a man doesn't respond positively to her interest. The flip side of this article is women are viewing men as sex-craved beasts who don't respect a woman's sexual interests or right to say no. That's…
