No, it isn't. But sure thing, buddy.

That is my argument, but thanks.

No, it isn't. Nor were the comments he pointed out even really a contradiction. As I said, visitation is not the same as having partial custody. Uprooting your kids all the time is damaging to the kids, which is why typically, if one parent doesn't live in the same area, they get alternating weekends and holidays. Is it perfect? No. Is it exclusively to the detriment of men? Used to be, but not nearly as much these days. Meanwhile, you can just scroll up for my particular example, which is more …

Ah, yes. You found one example of a minor contradiction! Whole argument is invalid, ignore the rest of it. Congratulations, you beat the Internet Boss(tm).

Yes, but as has been stated elsewhere, equal parental rights is not always practical nor advisable. In my own example, my dad was a flight risk. That's why visitation was supervised; the court didn't trust him alone with me or my sister. In other, less extreme examples, you have men--and indeed, sometimes women--who simply can't be in the right place to make the childs life easily suited to switching back and forth easily.

And potentially my sister and me, too. It's funny that someone in another thread referred to other subs as "echo chambers", the implication there being that this one isn't.

Eh. Visitation is typically brought about because one party or another -did- do something wrong. I'm sure people will argue that the majority of men going through divorce are only granted visitation, but in most of the cases I've seen personally, the parents tend to have joint custody. Sure, one parent might only get weekends or something, but that's not quite the same as visitation. For instance, custody of myself and my younger sister was given to my mother when we were aged 4 and 3, respectiv…

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
