I started because I've been lifting on and off for eleven years and want to take things to a new level. Training as a natural is not that satisfying after 2 or 3 years of consistent training and I never got the body I really wanted. I assume I was low T because I had the symptoms and I'm a consistent opiate user which is known to suppress levels, and now that I'm experiencing the difference in my mental health I'm certain. I'm taking 250mg per week to start which might be considered a light cycl…

I recently started taking steroids, nothing major just enough to push me a bit above range on the t scale and its really opening my eyes about AF. First, I was low T when I started, so the change in my mood was drastic and obvious. My depression is gone. Anxiety to a minimum. And things don't bother me as much, I feel a natural positivity and the concerns and actions of other people don't affect me to near the same degree. Motivation is high. I'm convinced that the AF attitide/look is an indicat…

Yeah they're scared because the quiet kid who keeps to himself is suddenly staring down all the girls with an expressionless face like a psychopath LOL. Try saying hi too.

Sure. Shoulder pain during squats is a different beast though. This convo reminded me of this post which touches on it peripherally: https://board.crossfit.com/showpost.php?p=404418&postcount=93 The last thing, one that I havnt seen touched on, is ease of coaching. A high bar position is pretty natural. Its where most people will put the bar without being coached. Its also pretty comfortable for the vast, vast majority of people. No undue strain on the back, neck, shoulders, or wrists. On the ot…

Considering your advice was to put a pad on the bar I don't need much more to qualify you as someone who doesn't know what they're talking about. If a movement is causing pain that gets worse when you do it, stop doing that movement. Apparently that's bro science.

That's not what I'm seeing where I'm from. I live next to a college and it's a sea of chick's with great asses and dudes with elbows thicker than their arm. Our environment is more estrogenic and sedentary which means guys don't have the hormonal basis and the exercise for looking good.

When did I say anything about absolute rest for routine pains? You're just regurgitating blog posts without the experience to put them into context.

The puss pad moves the bar up a lot, which increases the lever arm between your lower back and the bar. Your torso goes more upright to compensate, and your knees go more forward. More shear, more injury risk. I never understood those things, if you even get pain you can just push through it it won't be an issue in a few weeks max.

Mobility training helps if your mobility is poor. Loading a joint at the extreme end ranges of its ROM causes a lot more stress, obviously. I agree that if you have the flexibility to perform a movement it doesn't help and could be counterproductive, since you want a good stretch-reflex effect but it depends on the issue. Some patellar issues respond really well to high intensity stretching.

When did I say to stop training the muscle group? Re-read my posts. One of the worst things you can do to an acute injury is keep training that movement. Acute injuries need rest chronic injuries need rehab. Muscle belly injuries benefit from low weight high rep stuff but tendon issues are all about rest.

If you're bench is super weak then shoulder development could be your problem. The pain is basically your joints encountering a stress that the muscle can't compensate for by contracting hard enough. It could be due to inflammation/wear and tear but if the whole structure is weak you'll have similar problems.

You might just need some time off and to give your shoulder some TLC. Rear delt machine, overhead press, lots and lots of rows.

High bar hurts? Are you pulling hard on the bar, do you have shoulder inflexibility, have you tried moving your grip out wider? It could just be that your specific shoulder issues re applying stress at a particular angle of external rotation is bad. Maybe try tucking your elbows in instead of pushing them back. So they point at the floor. Are you benching a lot? You might need more back/rear delt work because something is creating a chronic problem. It wouldn't hurt to do shoulder dislocates and…

I'm convinced that many guys who go through life trying to be interpersonally dominant are struggling with repressed homosexuality.

Can we just pause a moment to consider how annoying this sentiment is? That they cause their own problems. It's true because anyone dealing with mental illness or addiction is "the cause of their own problems" but it's a meaningless statement. In a 1st world country we are all the cause of our own problems. "I have depression". "Then you are the cause of your own problems".

Aye. Fight, and you may die. Run, and you'll live. But years from now, when you're dying in your bed, would you give it all for one chance, one chance! To come back and tell the Taliban that they may take our lives, but they'll never take our freedom!
/r/PurplePillDebate24/08/21 05:27 AM

Some might just call it image crafting or putting your best foot forward but if your personal moral code says that's wrong then do what makes you happy. I think it's just some photos and doesn't mean you have to change who you are or actually live a fake life.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/08/21 05:20 AM

Could be they keep things in perspective and focus on what makes them happy. Let's be real though they just can't stop keeping up appearances even in an anonymous forum

Just placed on order for 3 vials of 250mg/ml testosterone and some AIs. In my 30s and planning on spending the next few years, maybe decade seeing where I can take my body with anabolics. So, so fucking excited. I lifted as a natty for 11 years and I had periods where I looked pretty good but in a year I'll be on a different level. Money, pussy, respect, I'll owe it all to my little clear vial of veterinary hormones.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/08/21 05:03 AM

That might be true but an ugly dude might just need to put in a lot more effort. Go to the gym, get cut up grab some pipes, professional photoshoot of him boxing, with a guitar on stage, bottle feeding a baby lynx, standing beside someone else's lambo, that kind of stuff.

When Samual L Jackson delivered that line in pulp fiction did it come off as effeminate, since vengeance is a feminine impulse?
/r/PurplePillDebate23/08/21 08:36 PM

Disagree. They might accrue more passive benefits but the cap on what they can acquire is greater.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/08/21 08:35 PM

If she's for the withdrawal in Afghanistan then she's a dirty rotten sub.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/08/21 08:21 PM

What feeling did seeing SLJ deliver that line inspire? Did he look like a bitch?
/r/PurplePillDebate23/08/21 08:19 PM

Hell no. The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides by the iniquities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men. Blessed is he who, in the name of charity and goodwill, shepherds the weak through the valley of darkness, for he is truly his brother’s keeper, and the finder of lost children. And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who attempt to poison and destroy my brothers. And you will know my name is the Lord when I lay my vengeance upon thee!
/r/PurplePillDebate23/08/21 08:13 PM

No shit. The guy is into it himself but to her he's just not dominant enough or whatever. It has to feel scary to her, like she doesn't know what he might do if she says no. Imagine loving and cherishing your wife and being rewarded with that.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/08/21 07:12 PM

Dude I just read a reddit thread... I'm very sleep deprived but reading about some guy whose wife loves bdsm but "can't see him that way" so she goes out and consensually gets beaten black and blue by a stranger and loves it... I can't imagine a more sickening dynamic.

That's an odd thought that doesn't surprise me since this is a classic women outward-focused rationalization where you try to side step the premise. It's because you can't get the very hot guy. Imagine I said "Why would I rent a corvette when I could buy a civic?". It's because I work at a help desk and this way I at least get the experience for a day. Or why would a guy get a hot escort and marry a plain girl? Same reason.
