My comment was both instructive and divisive. I encouraged OP to maintain this standard because it's not bad at all. In fact, I think it's quite healthy. I also told OP she should develop some close friendships.

Ignore all these PICKMES discouraging you by telling you that it's going to be hard or that you will potentially lose out on a man. But porn sickness is a valid concern, but I believe that you can vet that without being sexually active with a person. At FDS we encourage women to never lower their standards or they will regret it later on. If a man truly sees you as his one and only queen, then he will wait ten years. You know why? Because you are irreplaceable and there is not another women like…

Tell yourself the truth. Nothing good can come about fantasizing about him. Convince yourself with whatever reason you can to stop taking pleasure in doing this kind of thing.

This is true. Social media is another great tool for vetting. I once thought this man was HV, I checked his twitter, boy was I WRONG.

You were too kind imo. I don't have this kind of control or patience to explain myself. Especially if I think they are just egoistical. I would have just ghosted and blocked.

You slandered her by implying that she said that the end goal for women is to get married and that all women should get married. OP said X and you responded with something related to non-X. It may not have been slander, but it was off-topic and unnesscarily confrontational. According to FDS philosophy LTR are pick-me arrangements. The only LTR we accept is marriage. It is not slander, it is apart of our philosophy. If you have a problem with FDS philosophy then this is not the sub for you to be …

No where in the post was it implied that marriage is the "end goal" for every women. Women on FDS actively plan and strategize in the same way that children get prepared to join the workforce or athletes preparing to compete at the Olympics, e.t.c.

"Coercive Control," This is just jargon used to cover up and enable lack of personal responsibility. EDIT: I'm not saying that it is impossible to be a victim of abuse, but recognizing red flags and putting yourself back in the same or similiar situations and expecting different results is stupid.

Nah. Unless he loses his phone or their is some kind of emergency it shouldn't be longer than 24 hours. Is he thinking about you? Does he care about you? If he cares, he's going to communicate as soon as he gets a chance so that you're not overthinking, getting mixed signals, turned off. If he's thinking of you, he's going to communicate.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
