Pretty much same thing happened to me. Wife gave up. It's brutal and just fills me me rage. Our family and everything we built together is being destroyed. I had no chance of fixing it.

It's simple: the trust is forever broken. Move on to start healing. I'm so sorry that this happened to you. No one deserves to go through that BS.

Same here. To put this in a category, seems like she either was an "avoidant Discard type" or has the " grass is greener on the other side" mentality. Sorry to hear that man. It's painful not having answers or a real full explanation.

I think women have been sheltered from the truth and constructive criticism too much. Many are much less emotional mature than we give them credit for. They don't know how to argue to get to a compromise, they haven't been good at adapting any poor behavior for their spouses sake. It's why women are so quick to claim* anyone they break up with as a narcissist. I just had the walkaway wife syndrome divorce. She didn't want to compromise or work on things. Just one day said, good bye we are done. …

Hey man, please keep fighting. For your kids, for yourself. Your kids will grow and become easier over time. They will love and appreciate you more over time. Do you have relatives or friends that can help? It may be hard to build community but it's out there. I'm soon to be a single dad watching two kids. They need me and some days it's brutally hard. It's try to block all links to your ex as possible, in a legal way. Maybe even move somewhere if you have full custody.

Honestly, I highly recommend going to church on your own. There is healing through Christ. It's very hard time navigate the feelings with divorce. Realize that God may have a plan for the next chapter of your life that may lead to growth and happiness. I know it's hard to trust in God after such a brutal event. I'm here if you'd like to dm or chat. I'm going through one now too.

No man, stop thinking based off of lust. Also, think about your kid. This will deal a devastating amount of confusion and unneeded grief. You must learn to be content to achieve peace. Your family needs you and that is your purpose, which brings happiness. Think really hard about your actual needs and try to communicate them in a loving way. It doesn't involve sleeping with another woman. You must likely have intimacy issues to deal with if you are lusting after other women.

Hey man, I'm so sorry your going through this. I am as well. I have two young girls. They really really need me in their life. I'm sure your kids do too. Whatever you've done wrong can be forgiven with the right steps. Maybe your life will change drastically, but you can still be an amazing father. Try your best to get rest. You need time and clarity to make good decisions. Slow all your thoughts down, and trust that there is healing in time. Even in the toughest situations. IDK who you are, but…

Hey man, please seek counseling or therapy. Professionals can help you navigate this. It's probably the hardest thing in your life. Keep fighting to get through it. It's hard to imagine, but time is needed to let you heal. Get outside, workout, eat better. I'm going through the same thing. I'm sorry this has happened to you.

Sorry to hear that man. You're young, and you have lots of time to heal and move forward. It's a terrible situation but focus on the next chapter. I've learned a similar very hard life lesson recently. We gotta push forward, but be patient with yourself. Forgive yourself for mistakes and don't let that anger let you spiral. I'm willing to chat if you want.

Hey man, we are in the same boat. My story is almost identical to yours. I've thought a lot about this stuff. I've been reflecting on things for a few months. It definitely feels hopeless at times as my wife made the decision to give up on the relationship 2 months before telling me. She built her support network and plan. Planned all the separation time and details. It was a losing battle for me to fight for the marriage. The flaw is thinking that either of your is responsible for the other's h…

Sorry to hear that man. I'm in the same boat. 9 year marriage, two daughters 4 and 2. Wife just decided to emotionally check out of the marriage. Broke up with me mentally months ago. I don't want things to end but she doesn't want to work on anything, love me anymore, or try to compromise for the kids sake. Message me if you want to chat or vent. It's going to be a hard journey but we have to become the best we can for our kids.

I hear this a lot, but I'm not sure why. Can you give me more reasons to? I do want it to be on a time restriction so I just move on and start healing, but is there more to it?

Another is "I just need to explore being me, independent of you being in the way".
