http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/in+lieu Under Part of Speech it says prep, which was the connotation I was aiming for, "in preparation of." Then again, I could be completely off (in which case I blame it on being an engineer) :)

Amazing, thanks a lot man. I used to have moderate acne in high school and finally my skin is clearing up some, now it's pretty mild. I thought my rosacea was just a side effect of that, but it's stuck around. One of the main things that could be my problem is over exposure to sun light. Meh, I'm an atheist, so I agree. On the other hand, John Wooden is very religious, but that doesn't take away any of the respect I have for the man. He's one of the best basketball coaches of all time and preaches (non-religious) some of the best advice to get people to excel, aka this pyramid.

Whenever I get the "I have a boyfriend" I like to reply with "It's ok, my boyfriend doesn't mind me talking/dancing/exchanging numbers with other people". Usually they come back with "You're gay!?" to which I reply "I guess you're going to have to find out".

I think this, and over the top answers work well for questions. Like if you're in a 21+ club somewhere you could answer with "16, but shhhhh, if they kick me out I'm going to have to stay at your place". Not only does this deflect the question, but you've just planted the possibility of staying at her place in her mind.
