May be to say it in another way.. To me, Alpha is a state of mind. Rest everything follows off of that. A good posture/body perhaps is one of the factors that helps us get in that state but to me its still a means to an end.

she went OVERT to shame you back to your beta ways. Thats so true. Thats exactly what she did.

Thanks. This makes perfect sense.

Withdrawing attention isn't punishment. Its a simple consequence. You need to care less about what she thinks of your actions and work on judging them by your own standards. You weren't butthurt and know you didn't come across butthurt? Then you're in the clear. Don't let her fucking decide for you whether or not your actions are appropriate. She feels punished? "Aw babe, that's cute. Next time I'll get you a doghouse." Surprisingly, she didn't press the topic that much. Her behavior has changed…

This is part of the push pull dynamic. She pushes your needs away so you pull your availability to meet hers. We did some couples therapy 2 years ago when i was beta-extreme. One of the things i was told by the counselor was that I can't punish her if she doesn't listen to me. That its not right thing for me to do. The word "punishment" is still carrying on to our relationship and as you can see it gets associated with my IDGAF.

You're scared of your wife, dude. You're scared that she doesn't like what you do. I am not scared of my wife. I was feeling that this game of give attention+withdraw attention is too pussy. Reading all the comments here it seems that I would feel better with an overt approach of calling her out on her bad behavior. But i am not there yet and i guess until then I just need to work on myself. Imagine a captain steering through a storm, the first officer grabs the wheel and tries to jerk it in the…

So you are saying, you are practicing RP and behaving alpha, but she has not changer her shitty behavior yet ?

Totally agreed. "Well I married you, isn't that enough?" will hold 0 weight right now.

Now, after learning so much of RP, I realize that we both weren’t ready to get married 4 years ago. I have very strong education and make a lot of money that can afford us luxuries and I thought was sufficient. Turns out it’s not. I was a total beta and who likes to be FO to a beta? No one! I am doing this transition not just to have a good marriage but because it’s the right way of life. It’s the right state of being. Since, I was so messed up, I realized that whether I am with my wife or someo…

I have read the material. I wasn’t requesting her to join me to increase my happiness. My asking of her was completely OI based. I know that and NOW she knows that too. She very well knows if she doesn’t want to join, I will go out and have a ton of fun with our friends. When that happens, she does realize how much fun she missed. But there is something that’s stopping her hamster in figuring out she needs to be pleasant and want to be part of it, to be part of it. I never said I am butt-hurt an…

I read your posts very seriously and they have helped me a ton. But, with all due respect, I don’t get this one. I wish it was this easy. That I could train to assume the throne, go take a test, and if I pass, assume the throne. The way, I believe, it works is that I assume the throne, and wife throws a shit test, I don’t respond in a kingly way and she refuses to accept me as the captain. Then I go back to work. I work more on myself and hope I pass the next shit test and the next one and as ea…

I used to be full of this "victim" approach and blaming her for everything. I have now accepted what our relationship is today is 100% because of my lack of leadership. It was eye opening to see this that even though i didn't intent do, in my post, i still blamed her and looked for reasons in her. This weak beta behavior must be deep-rooted in me. Thanks for setting me straight. I am working my ass off on this and know i will make it !

I see what your are saying and i can certainly implement this style. I am not sure if that will still solve my problem though. She will still ask me how i can ask her "I'm going, you can come if you want. I'm leaving at 4:30." when she can't. She knows if she asks like that i am not coming. So, who made me the king is usually the dilemna?
/r/MarriedRedPill27/09/15 05:57 AM

No, I am not being told that. Look, here is the problem. My wife's dad is the biggest beta i have ever met. She expects similar yes-mam behavior out of a husband. Obviously, subconsciously, that can never get her wet and this relationship will stay dead. I am in the process of transitioning out of the 4 years of beta behavior and using AM/AA and its working a bit. But i can tell what she is reading on her laptop and its to deal with husbands who are assholes like that. Sometimes i wonder , since…

My wife would respond back with asking why I didn't answer her text. And throw a big fit. Not sure how you guys can get away with "no response"

This is where you say: "We both know this isn't about the leftovers. This is because you're struggling in this situation with our daughter, which is why I had suggested to enroll her full-time. I told you I couldn't come home early anymore, you said you were okay, but now you're struggling with that and instead of trying to solve your problem, you're just holding in your resentment of me, which was going to inevitably boil over like it just did." This is enough arsenal for my wife to completely …

Third, I think personally I have issues with making points succinctly! And you call yourself an FO? But that's only because I wish to explain it well, rather than a vague useless reply. That logic is just so terrible. Just STOP

My wife and I had an exchange last weekend that is the case in point for what you are saying... She made a really bad decision. Because of that she came home tired (Its not the first time, it was the millionth time). Because she was tired, she asked me to change our plans and expected that I should be ok with it because, as per her, as a husband its my duty to consider my wife's feelings. I refused to change my plans. She brought it up 2 weeks later. I was stern with her (a bit too stern. i come…

if something isn't beneficial to you, cut it out. I am still learning TRP and hence the question. How do you accomplish something like this ? I am asked to help the inlaws a lot. Its one sided. If i made plans when my help is needed, my wife would ask me if i can do it another day for them. If i tell her i just don't want to do it, I am thinking that she would reply with something like "How is that ok? What if i don't cook dinner for you going forward" (We have been married 3 years with no kids …

Not yet. Because i am not sure if its effective in our case. Because we don't have kids she will act rebellious and say she will do the same. She will say, look I can go hang out with my friends too. She makes 50% of our income now which isnt helping. So, I am pretty much not even bothering with dread ..

Thats fine. You can disagree. But don't confuse your disagreement to your alpha-ness.

Thank you. This was very helpful I think her problem is that she cannot get over the fact that i can make a decision that she is not comfortable with. Her dad never did and they apparently have the best marriage ever so why the hell does her husband not want to follow suit. She doesn't get it. Like mentioned in every other post here she thinks from her emotions and her emotions can turn on a dime. How can anyone let her fickle/everychanging/dumb emotions be the decision maker of our house ? So s…

Shitty sex life would be nice. I have a non existent sex life. Had sex a year ago. The birth control pill she takes has killed her desire since the day she started. Plus i was acting all BP (negotiating desire, getting riled up, blah blah). Who wants to fuck that ? First we did couples therapy with apparently one of the best counselor in town but now after reading RP, i understand that the therapist was a total feminist with feminist approaches which never work. Finally, i found TRP. There is so…

The OP said She stopped and elbowed me as hard as she could and said she was not putting up with it any more. I turned her around and said it is not ok to elbow me like that and if that is the kind of husband you want I am not him. The first reply with most points says. you did the right thing. No doubt about that. I would let it ride and if she gets physical again I would elevate it and make an issue out of it. For now, I would let it go Really ? Your wife is responding physically and thats wha…

I don't disagree with anything you have said. But , the truth is that the quality of content on r/TheRedPill is far superior than r/asktrp and r/marriedredpill. I believe there are two reasons for that 1) Better moderation 2) More RP alumnis (if i can use that term) that frequent this sub. I understand the idea of garbage in and garbage out. Newbies don't do their homework and post crap and then none of you guys want to participate. But, how do you solve it ? Via better moderating. Mods can simp…

Even if Islam is the other name of TRP, why fucking bring it here ? So people could say Islam is cool ? You didn't sound preachy. You were preachy. Please apologize and never do it again because thats what a RP alpha would do.

Cannot agree more. I am new into TRP (joined few weeks ago but have been lurking for some weeks before that). I am a good student and have questions to ask. But i find myself in a strange situation where all Q&A is directed to r/asktrp but a lot of content there is BP stuff that is wrapped and presented as the purest form of RP by people who think of themself as best alphas to have ever been born. In fact i was thinking of posting a request to r/TheRedPill users to visit r/asktrp to increase the…

TRP is understanding of male and female behavior as per evolutionary biology. And that's totally scientific. Like many scientific interpretations, TRP could get disproved at some point. But i would not bet on it. Its basic and is almost common sense ! Now, I am pretty much 10 year older version of you. Wife was very attractive. We made $300k combined. She cooked breakfast and dinner for me and packed lunch for me. She would blow me in parking lots, in living room while her mom is in another room…

This post is hamstering at its very best ! This is married RP forum. Heavily focussed on guys and really no chance for women to stand a chance. If she gets validated here, then it is the MOUNT EVEREST OF VALIDATION ! What else could her hamster ever want? This will give her the hall pass to be the controlling-shit-testing-thankless-feminist wife, that she claims to be in her post, forever, and be able to blame her husband for the outcome! Why are we all bothering to reason with her ? AWALT. Let …

Different women become strong and independent for different reasons which vary from insecurities, to be up to speed to other feminists, to be able to say it just for a change. Whatever the reason may be, the end result is not good for them. Also, this feminist behavior is cultural not biological. So, i don't think you can pass these bad genes from reproduction anyways.

I don't believe that avoiding your wife after her rejection is the way to go. You need to be so alpha, so awesome, so satisfied in your own life, that a rejection should not bother you. Its an unconscious state of mind. That state, in my opinion, is the true alpha. That state is what will make her respect you and want to fuck you. Avoiding her and making her give in to your sexual needs in exchange for attention is quite the beta behavior !
