Let's not kid ourselves, the men losing out on sleeping with them are most likely the ones who are already getting attention from women and routinely engaging in casual sex, so the majority of men stand to win absolutely nothing.

Depends a lot on the tone one would pick to express that i suppose. Like, if they added something along the lines of "deal with it", or "so what, what are you gonna do about it?", yeah, that's definitely arrogant and condescending. If they just stated it matter-of-factly, i don't think it would ruffle any feathers.

A male teacher caught grooming a female student will be raked over the coals, and people will be out in the streets calling for his head, and rightfully so. He can expect little mercy in his trial, and a harsh sentencing. A female teacher caught grooming a male student will typically face much less public outcry, and can expect far more leniency during her trial, as well as a far more lenient sentence (maybe even house arrest instead of actual prison time). The crime is the same, the only thing …

Yeah, i definitely think that tall women wanting a tall man is justified tbh, where i take issue is with short women having a 6ft minimum requirement, which is honestly delusional. The way i see it, it's perfectly reasonable to have standards, but if you yourself don't measure up to them, maybe you should reconsider, especially for something as superficial as height. Again, this is a symptom of the issue we are facing, OLD makes people think that a better person than the one we could have is alw…

So one, literally one, misogynistic comment you cherrypicked out of a thread means that every single man thinks the way this comment implies? A comment that, for all we know, might not even be written by a man? You literally cannot be serious. I assure you i can probably find an equally misandrist comment without much effort, does that mean every woman thinks that way?

I understand your point, however both men and women are on the apps hoping for that one match who doesn't end up being trash. All other things being equal, the gender who gets matches easier will have a higher chance of eventually finding one that sticks. Sure, women have to sift through more matches, but they can afford to be picky, much pickier than they would be IRL. Ultimately i think that both genders are losers in OLD, but when i need to pick between being a loser with options and being a …

Entitled how? He didn't come to this thread to preach about how women need to drop any and all standards and need to be attracted to short, bald, financially irresponsible men. He came here to vent about how women wrongly perceive men as mindless sex-obsessed beasts. He did not propose a solution, he did not ask for one, all he did was share some of his grievances on a post discussing similar themes. And you reply with what exactly? Right off the bat you call him entitled, don't even elaborate o…

Surely he doesn't represent every man to ever have existed, but his actual lived experiences are far closer to the experience of the average man, and doubly so when compared to a random woman's thoughts, not experiences, on the matter. And i too, as a man, feel the same as he does, for whatever it is worth. Are you sure it isn't a placebo effect? I really doubt it, it's probably just that being able to have sexual relations with people simply makes you feel far better about yourself than being i…

OP addressed relationships in his post, so naturally i assumed that was what we were discussing. My point still stands though, if i feel like my efforts are not appreciated/reciprocated enough, i will simply stop engaging and find a new person that will appreciate and reciprocate them.

I don't think always chasing is the way to go. Ideally you'd want them to meet somewhere in the middle, both of them chasing and both of them being chased. I know for a fact i'd feel used and taken for granted if i constantly had to chase her, initiate every interaction and bend over backwards for her, without receiving similar behavior from her end.

Yeah okay, no real point in arguing with you, the second you mentioned entitlement, you made it crystal clear. I hope your day is as pleasant as you are.

I can undestand your point, however, not everyone has the opportunity to meet potential partners from work/friend groups/etc, and even for those that do, they might not find someone that they would consider attractive. So they do happen to see someone they find attractive on the street. This person is clearly not someone they can meet organically, else chances are they would have already met. Should he/she just ignore said person entirely and completely ignore the attraction? Like i said, i can …

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
