I can’t say I didn’t expect to find some interesting opinions, especially seeing as how the original commenter got downvoted to hell for asking a genuine question. But seeing these blatant, sexist double-standards is new for me on this site. I guess I shouldn’t expect to find real discussion on these kinds of subs.

All I mean by that is that Gillette should have used better examples if they're trying to denounce "toxic masculinity," because the ones they had were not it. Toxic masculinity isn't a television character grabbing a woman's butt for comedic purposes, or having barely-clothed women in music videos; it's more like the commenter above who apparently refuses to believe that women face any problems in today's world. Which brings me to this: people who think that there is "no issue" and that women "h…

Women in America have life on easy mode. There is no issue to fix. And there's my queue to leave. I suppose I shouldn't have expected to learn anything from an ignorant, edgy meninist who uses r/The_Donald. Oh well

While the specific examples depicted in the ad are utterly laughable, that's not the point. There are still issues to be addressed regarding misogyny, which the ad does bring more attention to. blatant sexism and racism I'm sorry, what? Are you trying to confirm my speculation that you're looking for a reason to be mad? I would absolutely love to hear how Gillette displays racis…

It’s true that the MSM would flip if the roles were reversed, but I don’t believe the ad was made with malicious intent. Like the original comment said, it’s only trying to shine more light on a prominent issue. And while I do disagree with the media’s relative ignorance toward men’s issues, and would prefer if they were talked about alongside women’s issues rather than separately, it just seems like people are looking for a reason to be mad at Gillette.

“Cis, white males don’t know what discrimination is.” Probably the most ironic statement I’ve ever heard.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
