Some jobs that women do that men don’t which are crucial to society? Nursing. Primary Education. Both are dominated by women. These are critical to society, and that’s just off the top of my head! It’s almost as if women are more inclined and proficient at some jobs and men are more inclined and proficient at other jobs, yet at the end of the day, both can contribute equally to society.

I don’t think I agree with life without women there. I think it’s a bit arrogant to think that the world is entirely dependent on men and not at all on women. It’s important to keep in perspective that utilities such as running water and trash disposal are crucial to society, so are healthy relationships and intimate bonds. To lose all of either gender would absolutely wreck civilization.

One recent example that has been in the news is BSA. Sometime this year, BSA is announcing their plan to incorporate girls into the program, and they have already been incorporated into Cub Scouts.

Since most boys can retract the foreskin by age 3, then why would it ever be acceptable to circumcise and infant? It's not as if one knows at that age if the child will need the procedure for a medical condition, and it's not as if the child can consent to circumcision for any other reason. So I ask, how is causelessly cutting an infants genitals not mutilation?

Our system is actually designed to not change will nilly. Ever wonder why it requires a supermajority to amend the constitution? As for obscenity laws, women can be topped anywhere in NY that men can in public. Obviously it is not viewed as obscene there.

I think one of the major draws of Boy Scouts is that it is a place where boys can be themselves without the innate fear of what the other gender believes about them. Personally, I never felt like I had to put on some sort of persona in Scouts because I wasn't having to impress any girls. As for Cub Scouts, I think there is a distinct possibility that it may soon allow girls in, but I don't imagine that Boy Scouts will ever do so.

I read your comment and I was surprised. I've Been in Scouts for 12 years, and I have never seen a girl in any troop. So I did some research. In America BSA does not have to allow girls in.

I absolutely believe that we have an effect on the environment, but I once talked to my dad about why he doesn't believe we do. His response was a sarcastic "yeah, and all of our SUVs ended the lasts ice age." With that in mind, I understand how somebody who hasn't seen temperatures graphed with carbon in the atmosphere and other evidences could be convinced that we don't cause global climate change.

I honestly just want to finish up college and obtain a decent job. I'm at a disadvantage because I'm a male. We're I female I would be more like to earn a degree and I would likely obtain a higher paying job (within my age group). So I think it's pretty analogous.

From what I know from my 12 years as part of the Boy Scouts of America, the policies in place are significantly more strict than most other organizations. We have to update our Youth Protection annually and God forbid that you are in the same room as a youth without others present. Seriously, the two-deep adult leadership is unrivalled by every other organization that I've been associated with, and I can't imagine any way that it could realistically be improved.
