Nah, I get it. I've been accused of the same. I just wouldn't call your behavior crazy.

Cold and distant reads more as dangerous than crazy, to be honest. Like, if a girl isn't showing emotion, you can call her crazy, but only in the sense that you don't know if she's going to stab you.

I agree with the last bit. There are trans people out there who are just...trans. They aren't very vocal about it, they don't garner this huge tumblr presence - they're just living their lives. But because of balloon crowd, these trans people are being crowded out. The average person's first thought when they hear "trans" is tumblrgen nowadays. I also do think that balloon people are actually just really lost, or missing something, and this is how they cope. So I can see your point.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/01/17 01:17 AM

Well, kudos to you for finding that out, but for the majority of trans people, it doesn't work that way.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/01/17 10:30 PM

To be fair, the transgender people you're describing in your second paragraph don't agree with or support tumblrinas either. There are plenty of trans people (especially on tumblr) who will tell you that the "my gender is a balloon" crowd are extremely damaging to the transgender community.

Imo, it's less "I'm a man in a woman's body", and more "the body I'm currently in (sex organs wise) is not the body I want/body that I am comfortable in." It's less (for me) "I know I'm [gender], and more, "I'd feel more comfortable if I had the body of a [gender]".

Blue pill, two older sisters, average success with dating and whatnot. I guess this throws a wrench in the machine, but my sisters (and my mother, actually) were very misogynistic. I grew up hearing that women were stupid, women were good-for-nothing, women belonged in the kitchen and not in the field, etc. I grew up with what I believe is called a "Madonna/Whore complex", and it's taken years to tone it down. I'm not sure what exactly the opposite of putting women on a pedestal is, but that's b…

Feminism and BLM come up on a daily basis. I live in a very liberal, affluent, "Bernie or Bust" town (everyone hated Hillary until Bernie lost, go figure). If it were legal, the people in my town would be lynching the (closeted, btw) Trump supporters.

What my statement meant is that to fight for equal rights for two people, you have to believe that they are equal to each other.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/08/16 08:25 PM

Well in that case, we'll never have social equality unless we go full Harrison Bergeron or Brave New World. I'm cool with the social protections we have now though.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/08/16 10:58 PM
3

What would you call social protection?
/r/PurplePillDebate12/08/16 10:28 PM
4

I define social, economical, political equality at the state/federal level. It is currently illegal to discriminate against someone in hiring for their sex/gender. This TRP guy is probably talking out of his ass, but even so, he isn't the law. Legally, women and men are protected from things like this.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/08/16 10:13 PM
4

Yes, because you would have to be insane to let a subreddit, let alone TheRedPill, define social equality. The KKK doesn't like black people--they can still vote.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/08/16 09:57 PM

Thanks for the civility. This conversation was a breath of fresh air compared to most of what defines status quo on Reddit.

Alright, I'm willing to concede to, "approach a girl but if she's clearly uninterested leave her alone", rather than what I said at the beginning.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/08/16 08:42 PM
2

So, what is this a matter of then? Patience, confidence, luck? If a girl is looking unapproachable, what is the rationale for approaching her anyway? Is it really just because you want to/want to sleep with her?
/r/PurplePillDebate12/08/16 08:33 PM

Yes, obviously you have to believe that people are equal to demand equal rights for them. But I doubt the fight for equality was based off mental equality as opposed to, human equality. If the only reason women couldn't vote and be autonomous humans was because their brains were different, then why did there have to be a separate movement for non-white men to be able to vote? Whites and blacks got the same brain, right? And you can totally equate this to race. But I'll ask you to elaborate on th…

Well obviously the trillion part was just being hyperbolic. Also, I would say that I'm a dude, and that's not why I approach attractive girls, but we can probably assume I'm the minority in this situation. I still feel as though you'd have better luck approaching girls that look open than closed.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/08/16 08:22 PM

The base doctrine of feminism is getting equal social, political, and economic rights for men and women. I believe we already have that. Is believing blacks and whites are the same mentally supposed to make me a civil rights leader?
/r/PurplePillDebate12/08/16 08:17 PM

Yes. I don't agree with things like AWALT. Women and men are individuals. Everything you can find in a man, you can find in a woman, and vice versa.

I find this hard to believe. In my experience, I've only been met with a stranger who didn't want to talk maybe 5-10 times. The thing is that you have to pick your venue. Trying to talk to a girl at a mall and a girl in a library are two completely different things. I'd also like to point out that walking into a conversation with expectations is another downfall. It seems to me that most TRPer's go talk to girls with the intent of either sleeping with them now, or sleeping with them later. While…

Hey, I didn't say good satire. Everything on that sub is supposed to be a joke, whether the joke is bad or not. But the true satire posts are hilarious. I still maintain that "The Blue Pill" doesn't exist and calling everything not RP, BP, is just dumb.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/08/16 07:00 PM

Look, I'm all for trying out "day game" (it just sounds creepy, man) to get experience or whatever, but for the love of god, if a woman is displaying closed off body language, she's on the phone, she's working, etc, then approaching her anyway is shitty advice. There are a trillion other girls in a crowded space that actually remotely look like they would be open to a hello, why bother the ones who don't?
/r/PurplePillDebate12/08/16 06:57 PM

While I still maintain that BP is in fact not "everything that isn't RP" and is instead completely satire, I am not RP, which translates here as being BP. To answer your question, I am not a feminist. I 100% believe that women are not oppressed in America, and also oppose the toxicity of third-wave feminism. I believe the movement has become nothing but another hate group hell-bent on throwing men in zoos and stripping them of any rights. I believe men and women are already legally, socially, et…

Don't worry, she's already been hard nexted, and I don't plan on doing anything like this again. Looking back, I've never felt so weak in my life. I wasn't in the mindset of "how many women I could've pursued", but thanks for bringing it up. That's something I never would've realized if you hadn't told me.

Ah, my plan was a bit unorthodox. I didn't want to have sex with her, didn't want to date her or anything. I wanted her to adore me. Everyone treats me like some new-age-god, but she didn't. Probably because she saw me for the beta guy I was. I figured if I orbited her hard enough, she'd start treating me like everyone else did. It just got unhealthy after I ignored the fact that it'd never happen and chased after her adoration harder.

To be honest, even though it's been less that a day, I've been thinking of her less and less. Before, I'd think about her at least a few times an hour, but over the past day, I've only though about her once or twice. You're right that the immediate emotions go away. I know this is just a calm before the storm, and I'm still waiting for the waves, but I think I'll be able to handle them. Especially with this community. One thing that's really helping me is something someone said in another post: …

No, she has flaws. To be honest she's a red flag factory. A textbook toxic relationship, of you will. She should have hard nexted some time last year, but I hamstered my way out of it.

I've already gone hard next with her, and do intend to start shifting my attention and the power back to myself. Some dating here and there is part of the plan as well.

Right, right. I understand this. I won't be seeing her for a few months (barring some freak accidental path-crossing, but I'll keep the quote in mind. Thanks.

Yeah, usually I'd just find some new woman as a distraction, but for now I'm not really sure if I'll just break from women altogether for a while, or do what you've suggested.

Being unapologetic is something I do now, but not enough. Man, do I regret that. Never too late to get better though, right? I'm going to keep this comment in mind.

Alright. Thanks for the list - I was just scouring the web for things to do in my off time. I've started lifting and I can say my wardrobe is more business formal than it is graphic tees and sneakers now, so I've got that going for me. I'm currently looking for a new hobby, so I'll look into a few of those. I got guitar out of the way, thinking of violin next. The goal bit comes harder for me, but I'll just work harder for it. Ayahuasca looks like it'd fuck my shit up. The "woman to complete you…

In all seriousness, is it bad that I have to learn how to be a man from the folks on the internet? (I appreciated your comment by the way. Just the right balance of jabbing and advice.)

Thanks for the info. I'm going to go ahead with the taking time off of women thing. Reading and lifting, amongst other things will fill the space for now. Thanks!

She got hard nexted. Comparing her to a drug is spot on - something I shouldn't have been ignoring.

Well shit. This really resonated. You're right in that I haven't been valuing my time; just giving it out w/o any returns. This will be another thing to keep in mind going forward. After reading a bit more about it, I'm considering going into monk mode for a month or two, hopefully to make me realize things like this.

I guess that will be my starting point. Thank you for the advice - doing this will be one of the easier things I can do in the coming weeks. Thank you.

Yeah, I realize now how that doesn't work. I'd get rid of it but that'd just be refusing to account for my actions.

To be honest, I was going to not do the hard next, but I figured that it was the only way for me to stop hamstering my way out of being honest with myself. Even now after I've done it, I'm still experiencing a little twinge of regret, but I know that it's for the best. Taking time off of girls is sound advice, which I'll be sure to follow. I've started lifting again and I'm working on getting back to my diet, and I'll look into some books. Do you have any personal recommendations? I haven't pick…

Sounds a bit like a morphed catch-22. What's the solution here? Work on being RP with girls that exceed her, while also distancing myself from BP ways with girls that exceed her?

What you're saying makes sense. Sort of a natural progression. I'll work on it. Thank you.

You know, you're right. I tried this a few months ago and that's exactly what happened. I caved after a week. I don't possess the skin I need, and I am the waste you're referring to. But it stops now. I didn't come here to be coddled, or to have a therapy session. I came here to be told what I was, and how to fix it, which is in part what you're doing. But this isn't some manifesto, nor is it a declaration of whatever the hell. You're right. I might fail. Maybe miserably. But I'm here for the ch…

Alright, haha. "Red pill mode" really cleared things up. In her shoes, I'd look weak. Another beta. I think putting myself in her shoes will be very helpful in the future, especially whenever I'm feeling like going back. Thank you!

No, trust me, you're not making me mad. I needed this. I don't want to be too hard on myself because it will lead in the opposite direction, but I screwed up. Even now as I'm responding, I'm seriously looking at myself and the past few years. I realize now that I have to steel myself to this decision if I ever want to be a better man. Thank you. Your words are greatly appreciated.

Okay, I'll be completely honest. Last time I tried to hard-next this girl, I hamstered hard and ended up talking to her after a week. But when I did hard next her, she got livid: yelling, basically acting batshit insane. In hindsight, that was the red flag of a lifetime, and I shouldn't even be in contact with her now, but I was a beta. So, I hard next her now, and we see each other in person. She starts yelling. I walk away? Ignore her? I know I shouldn't care, but I feel like being yelled at i…

It wouldn't be true if it didn't sting a bit, huh? Alright. You're right. It's just hard as shit though: how do I deal with the conflict? I know it's just another symptom of oneitis but I'm just so conflict-averse with this girl that it's kind of pathetic. We talk semi-regularly, so I know eventually she's going to see she's blocked, but I don't know what to do when I see her in person. Writing it all out really makes me see how sad this is, but I need the help.

Edit: hard next. Ignore this.

I'm probably rationalizing the oneitis. I feel like her perspective of me would either be disdainful, or intrigued. But from what I've read, if I don't want any form of relationship with her, neither is very good or useful. Can you further elaborate on not "acting" red pill? I feel like from what you said, I do understand the nature of people. I can look at the equations and ways people act and pinpoint why they do them. I feel like this girl is just using me because she's knows I'm a damn beta …
