It's not an issue of sexism. The insurance company is on the hook for health issues. Getting pregnant and having a baby is expensive and potentially dangerous, which the insurance may need to help with. The insurance company does not need to help if a man gets someone not on their plan pregnant. It's just smart business on their part to cover one and not the other.

When I moved into my first apartment there was a massive heatwave and my AC was broken. I had to wait half a week to get it fixed. I know I got in the bath every few hours during that. It can take time to fix a broken AC if repairmen are busy. So don't be an ass.

The company I work for it upfront about how they decide pay. They have a base pay which is decided based on the cost of living for the town. According to a professor I once had, using words like "demanding" or "hard-working" are sexist because they make women less likely to apply. This woman has a doctorate in chemistry and was upset that the job that was posted for a new biochemistry professor and researcher mentioned wanting a hard working employee for a demanding job. There are some weird laws in parts of the US. Apparently my old high school wanted to make a uniform, but it was illegal to do that for a public school because not everyone could afford it. As a male rape victim, I agree. I don't really bring it up to people unless I'm specifically asked about it or we are discussing something like that, but I think part of the problem is that men just don't want to talk about those sorts of things for one reason or another.
