I came here to get a perspective from your side but all this subreddit -and many MRA subreddits- just lead to feminism bad. A women speaks about her experience in gaming, the sexism she goes through and all you care to say is that its feminists being sexist again, not once have you shown empathy to her except you complain that men face this too and its not sexism its toxicity. No, they’re being sexist, I’m sure men face sexism too but its no where near the same degree as women. Check my profile …

You are invalidating my experience, they say sexist remarks to me and many other women in video games- as shown- yet you believe it isn't caused by sexism, the "make me a sandwich" isn't an expression rooted in sexism?... really? They expect a woman to perform bad in-game because of her sex yet in your eyes that isn't sexist? Make it make sense. I'm not speaking on behalf of men, I asked how you- a male- would know more than a literal woman who has experienced the topic at hand. Btw I'm still wa…

Ok and thats horrible that they say those things to you but i am telling you it is because I am a woman, stop invalidating my experience. How can you say it isn’t because of my sex when they make sexist orientated remarks and snide comments whenever I speak? How can you even know? You’re a man, why are you speaking on behalf of a woman’s experience? Look at the rest of the comments in your post, you’ll see I’m not the only person that noticed this. Women experience sexism in online video games a…

Happy to hear people are calling out stuff like that in your games and that you haven't experienced the really creepy stuff as much as others, I hope you're doing ok, some of it can really get to you. Mhmm, I thought she was cherry-picking too but she usually plays R6 (which is toxicity central), I had to actually watch her streams to fully understand the frequency of freaky games she gets... its really alarming how often it is, seeing her tear up from it is the worst. God forbid someone points …

Yeah, I saw your comment, it was basically you doubling down her entire experience as her "reading way too much into it". Its no wonder you got downvoted, you said: "Keep cherry picking, virtue signalling, reading too much into peoples words and protecting your own toxicity unto others. Whatever helps you sleep at night dude." Yeahhhhhh no wonder you got downvoted, you were undermining her experience. Like cmon dude... really? Oh yeah, gaming was a side topic because she's talking about the sexi…

I did not say it doesn't happen to men, please, tell me where in my posts where I said "men never face sexism", because I don't see it. My point was that it is predominantly women who face sexist remarks by men in the online gaming community. I already pointed out that both sexes can face toxicity, of course, women can be toxic too- that goes unsaid, anybody can be toxic online regardless of gender. I'm telling you that women face that "toxicity" through their sex, we'll get harassed through sex…

No, you're right, a lot of men are not sexist. We're not saying that though. We're saying that those who are sexist in games are mostly- if not always- men being sexist to women. Both sexes face toxic players, both men and women get laughed at online, but women will be laughed at for their sex, not their gameplay, not their attitude, not their performance overall, it will be because we are a woman. If you want an example of what I mean I highly suggest watching "Spawntaneous" on youtube, she has…

She didn’t say all men, she said it was a massive amount of them and its true, some of us even use voice mods to hide our gender, its exhausting.

No thanks, think I’ve had more than enough experience with the other sides views and perspective here. Have a feeling I’ll get gaslighted and called a communist... trying to figure out where that idea came from :/

Can you tell me where my double standards are? So far people have been accusing me of things and when I ask them about it, I get left with silence. When you say subs that are absolute trash do you mean “fragilemaleredditor” because I’m not in one called ”fragilewhiteredditor”. Fragile male redditor is about exposing men for their toxic behaviour, how is that any different to this sub exposing women for theirs?... like this one? Are you talking about if the roles were reversed when you say fragil…

Trust me, I dont like the pedestal either, a LOT of us don't. I dont like being treated like I'm incapable yet if I speak up about it I'm labelled a Karen or a whiny bitch or I'm told it must be my time of the month. Online and offline this happens. I believe MGTOW has a good premise but unfortunately, its jokes and posts are rooted in sexism, the sub is a goldmine for it. Stay safe, man

some ideological cause When you say this do you mean me pointing out blatant sexism? A lot of my post history is about that, the only time I would hate a group is when it's directed to incels/ MGTOW because I believe they're misogynists. Can you tell me how that makes me unstable? I'm sure if you saw something misandristic, you would point it out too so what's wrong if I do it?

My obsession with it is due to people getting angry over the fact that their sex holds expectations and are oblivious to why that is. I don't see how that makes me a moron since it has proven to affect both me and you even now, the title of this post even proves that one still exists. You don't have to result to namecalling btw

Umm...no? did you even read what I said? It's the expectation that men must protect women that is sexist. That they are expected to risk their lives for us even if they don't want to. That is sexist patriarchy, it goes both ways. I suggest you google "patriarchy" before you take my satirical name seriously. The fact you didn't take it as a joke shows a lot about your character.

Expected that response from someone who posts on MGTOW. The name is extremely satiric, I hope one day you grow up and realize BOTH sexes have their struggles.

Yes... ik they put women and children first and they wish they didn't, we don't want that either. We want equality and we don't want to feel protected as much as you don't want to feel like the protector. These expectations of the sexes are a result of sexist patriarchy, something we are trying to eradicate. This affects women AND men.
