Women approach you in your home country? Dude you are provably living in a different reality eBay the vast majority of people here, i don’t think this thread will apply to you too much

So going from zero likes to (moderate) success is possible just by fixing the pics?
/r/seduction26/07/26 03:15 PM

There are people who have absolutely zero success on apps. Don’t ask me how I know

The only way I have seen is for a woman to find you attractive and to do the work for you, or for someone to be an easygoing, non traumatized person who finds human contact completely natural. Other than that it seems to be the other way around: it is like nothing ever happens on its own.
/r/seduction26/07/26 10:46 AM

lol yeah, attractive women have given me similar advice: “dont worry, something will eventually happen by itself” To me that’s like expecting that you will receive a degree in engineering out of nowhere. We are living in so completely realities that it is mind boggling.
/r/seduction26/07/26 03:53 AM

That’s the root of the issue. It means you likely have trauma. The good thing is that you know what to train yourself towards: you should have a genuinely pleasant feeling inside your body, and see the prospect of meeting people as a relief. Human connection should give you this warm feeling. Just interacting with them. Sex should just be a nice possible byproduct. All this is pretty much the opposite of what I naturally felt while growing up so this has been quite the transformation, still ongo…

I have gone through the same material as you lol. I think that it is simple but not easy. For me it has become about identifying traumatic patterns and pretty much restructuring myself from the ground up. Thing is, the spiritual stuff is thr only way through if you’re coming from a place of 0 abundance: nothing in the real world to tell you that you can be attractive to women, lots of negative social experiences etc. but the spiritual stuff does not work if you follow it as a means to an end. So…

Nah man, I disagree. Think of it like this: say you want to buy a new car because your old one broke down. You will probably open the classifieds and look for a replacement: same class of car give or take, the same general model of car you have grown accustomed to throughout the years. Your mind will only lock on to the ads of that type of car and filter out the rest. But let’s say you hang out with some friends and they show you a different vehicle you had never really considered: a small van o…

/r/seduction25/07/26 12:07 AM

Wait a minute. Isn’t the whole idea of in person seduction to be able to pull women that would not be possible on OLD? I thought the apps were only usable for a small minority of men. They skew the game for the photogenic attractive people leaving everyone else with minimal chances at best.

Dude, you are like a godsend. I have been trying to research this stuff for years but it is always like “knowing it’s out there” but never actually seeing it. Like understanding as a colorblind person that there are numbers inside the color blindness tests but never really having read them in person. Where and how did you get the skills and the ability to see this stuff?

Getting a better camera is definitely not the right move here. In fact it is so counterproductive it is almost laughable. I am a very decent photographer (hobbyist). However: I have very good pics of friends but almost no good pictures of me. Why? It’s not the camera, you need someone who can use it on you. Who can see you objectively and understand the right moment and conditions to take your picture. My “selfies” are not bad technically but I have had absolutely 0 likes on hinge after 1 month.…

I think it is very rare for someone to be absolutely 0% attractive. As a person who is near that level (based on results, feedback and general observations), I understand that normal advice can not really be applied. Advice from friends does not apply. There is something deeper that needs to be discovered. It may seem funny but I think spiritualism hides the answers. Not woo woo stuff but the practices that make someone stand out by force of presence and energy. It also provides the tools to kee…

This may sound dumb but really, why is Brad Pitt more valuable than you and me? I mean ok he is not a moron but to say that his looks have not shaped his life would be naive. And I think he is a decent guy and very decent actor. My objection is that we are asked to take what society pushes into our face as “valuable”. Meanwhile people who throw a ball around for a living get paid orders of magnitude more than people teaching, creating, etc. My issue is with beauty standards in particular though.…
/r/seduction09/07/26 05:26 PM

Ok, but what about ongoing things? The things that you see make you very different from the current beauty standards, or when you have personality traits that are very hard to change? ( being introverted, quiet, etc) It doesn’t need childhood trauma, it is your brain predicting the future based on the reality it has perceived countless times.

lol it’s WAY more complicated than that. But I like the example so let me try this: All your life you have been told that basketball needs a certain physique. It is easy to understand why, the NBA players have this physique, and the people around you who seem most successful also have this physique. Whatever, you say, i am fine with not being selected for the top level tournaments, however I’d love to be able to play now and then. Just for the fun of it. You read books telling you that while obv…

Dude you described my issue exactly! In most places I have been to, there are primarily only large groups of friends. It is super weird to be there alone, and women may talk to you but eventually they will want to return to their friends, who they went out with. Having been on the opposite end (part of the friend group) it is also practically unheard for of any random guy approaching the group either. And I read everyone here going out and meeting people and I am wondering where they are doing a…

I think it has to do with ingrained learning. I looked into this as a behavior pattern and I quickly realized what was going on: Growing up, whenever I showed romantic interest in a girl, she would immediately start avoiding me (or even worse, mock me). On the contrary, when I approached as a friend, I quickly realized I got much more positive reactions. Now, my young brain obviously learned that I have to hide my interest at all cost. Never mind that the second approach led nowhere except a fri…

“Unpopular opinion: Yachts are overrated, a large sailing boat is worth more.” Awesome for you to be able to experience both and know the differences.
/r/seduction10/06/26 07:20 AM
1

Yeah, or this could just be a rationalization of their emotions after picking up on something they genuinely don’t like. Kind of a similar example: I have gotten out of sales pitches with different sales people, giving them the dumbest excuses ever. If they were to analyze what I actually told them afterwards they would be completely baffled.
/r/seduction01/06/26 11:11 AM

Easy: toxic abusive ex was giving the signals women are good at reading. Sexual attraction can be completely separate from liking someone as a person. For all genders.
/r/seduction01/06/26 03:43 AM
6

I mean haven’t you experienced how one moment of doing something “wrong” can immediately make some women uninterested? Everything may be going well in an initial interaction, but one wrong misstep and you’re done. So all this paranoia is not completely unfounded.
/r/seduction01/06/26 03:39 AM
12

Yep this is the truth. Turns out that actually doing this is way, way harder than it looks. I mean, you can try talking to people and socializing, but you will quickly realize there is something deeper that will make people either want to talk to you or politely leave the conversation.

Funnily enough i was thinking about this the other day, but with a twist: Over the years I have tried very very deep stuff. How to get out of my head, how to become more everything: confident, charismatic, talkative, etc. What eventually made me rethink dating was not one of the experiences I have had, but the experiences I have NOT had. Let me explain. I have a number of severe appearance issues that are not fixable. It is a bit confusing because I have some good traits mixed with the bad ones.…

Well, both are right and wrong at the same time. Our human brains are not able to comprehend statistics, but in such a large subset, you can find “proof” of both views.
/r/seduction19/03/26 10:07 PM

I completely agree, and have had similar experiences. Still, this just takes determination to put in the work. Seduction is a highly competitive, completely different thing.
/r/seduction16/03/26 03:21 PM

Hard, hard disagree. Seduction is the screening, after that it’s just about being able to be a normal human being and letting connection happen.

You say you have been noticing this pattern lately? This pattern is probably as old as time, for the majority of people (well if you consider that most marriages were pre arranged in most societies until relatively recently, not even that).

You people.. It is simple when you are already wired in a way that works. Then you just need a minimal introduction and you are good to go, yes. The same way that it’s relatively simple to learn to drive a car that has no mechanical issues. If the engine doesn’t even turn on though, and you have to learn how to fix it by yourself, things get quite complicated. In this life, we can’t get a mechanic to fix our minds. We have to do it ourselves, at best with the guidance of therapists, life coaches…

You learn to overcome slow social processing. Work on expanding your social skills. Introversion is nothing other than needing solitude once in a while to recharge. Everything else is social anxiety, lack of skill, or other issues.
/r/seduction24/12/25 07:17 AM

Did you find a solution? One thing I have learned is that knowledge is as important as a compass is to a ship. If the ship can’t float the compass is pretty useless.

My biggest fear is that the more I get good socially but remain at the same level of attractiveness, women start opening up and being friendlier, and then I catch them off guard when I try to make a move since they never had considered me romantically from the beginning.
/r/seduction19/12/25 05:17 PM

Thing is, you will not be cool during your first (many) approaches. So your mind is not wrong there. So when you do do it, this raises the danger of your mind saying “SEE?! told ya”. Just an idea, but why not practice not caring what others think? Go out in dumb clothing for example. Notice how no one will care.

Getting involved with dating IS the way to become mentally fit towards that area. The more you don’t do it, the later it will happen. Plains and simple. You can become the fittest version of yourself, but you will still fumble your interactions if you don’t invest the time in dating.

Hey I’m on the same boat. I don’t think you CAN get an answer here. It is like saying “how do I juggle?”, how can anyone explain that through text? There are tons of resources around if you look. Others good, others bad, but the only way is to get pointers (visual examples) and try it, just like juggling.

I am definitely trying to discover the sweet spot between authenticity and state for years. I have had cool breakthroughs and all, but very rarely something that could generate actual attraction infield. Even then it died down or just wasn’t enough. Like getting tiny sparks here and there but knowing it is just not enough to light the fire My question is, there MUST be something more to the story right? I mean at the end of the day it is about spiking emotions. Attractive people can spike these …

That’s your answer right there. I heard a dating coach say something along the lines of: if you never make your intentions clear (in a fun flirty way) you can spend years speaking to women without any results.
/r/seduction14/12/25 03:46 PM

I don’t think it is that simple amigo. What if your data is that both cold and hot approach give abysmal results. To make a simple comparison, this is like checking if your motorbike is a street bike or a dirt bike. The thing is, none of that matters if the engine is broken.
/r/seduction14/12/25 03:22 PM

Sadly this is another high speed road to friendzone land. Don’t get me wrong, it usually works when there is attraction, but I totally get where OP is coming from. It doesn’t build attraction. It’s hard to describe but what usually happens is that the conversation kind of dies down. Like it comes to a slow halt as if it has run out of fuel, metaphorically speaking.
/r/seduction14/12/25 02:31 PM

That’s a really good good ratio for day game, but the total number of approaches are low if you want real results.
/r/seduction14/12/25 05:56 AM

I remember hearing that you have to expect to start seeing results after about 6 months. A guy told me that he started seeing consistent results after years. No idea what is really true or not but four approaches probably don’t even classify as a warmup.

Yeah the point is that If you want to get good at basketball, you eventually have to play. Sure, fitness matters, perception of the team, etc etc. But if you end up doing all of the supportive things without ever playing, you will never really play. Of course the lucky ones will get pulled into the game by the more experienced people who know based on promising looks but it still isn’t the best strategy. It is better than nothing of course.

Oh absolutely. I went on a trip to SE Asia. I am really short, but there I was suddenly normal. Ok, on the short side again but I saw many guys like me walking around. Now I did not have any time or energy to meet women there but I did notice some looks here and there, which is very very rare for me. I am back at my relatively giant European country, and wondering why on earth am I doing this to myself? Like playing this game on the extreme hardest setting while there are options to at least get…

Ok this is one of the things I know a great deal about. Being funny alone doesn’t work. I have always made an extraordinary effort to be funny because I thought that way, I would be better accepted. So with time it became effortless. People regularly praise me for humor, wit, you name it. But since I never had any of the actual seduction skills down, I never could do anything with that. Like I don’t remember getting laid once through this. I always remember the “boring” individuals getting the g…

Yeah thanks for putting into words what I was thinking about. Being 5’4 myself I would go as far as to say that I never really have experienced interest in a bar after I have made any type of move. And I am realizing that this has really played a number on my subconscious because I have been trained to understand that the moment I make my intentions clear, a girl loses interest. So I am playing this cat and mouse game where I put in everything to appear indifferent yet interesting, but that obvi…

They expect rejection in high numbers and a big part of coaching is how to get around it. It’s part of the whole process.
/r/seduction24/11/25 01:39 AM

Nice. I meant how do you start discussing about sex when you have less experience, or just fewer memorable moments overall. I lock up quite a lot when people have wild stories, my stories are pretty basic, nothing much to talk about.
/r/seduction23/11/25 12:56 AM

How do you handle it when others have vastly more experience sexually? Usually women have way, way more experience than us who are trying to learn this stuff at whatever age we are, and that can trigger more insecurities in a way.

Thanks! This is what is going on I think. But since most people are in large friend groups it is really hard to know where to tread.
/r/seduction16/11/25 01:50 AM

Well yeah ok, but that is my point. It is going to be a small conversation. No room to build attraction really and certainly no room to escalate. What can you do in that time?
/r/seduction16/11/25 12:47 AM
1

I completely disagree. It is quite hard to distinguish politeness from actual attraction. Plus, to get attraction just from saying hi you must be exceptionally attractive. A random unremarkable guy will not get any special reactions with the first introduction.
/r/seduction15/11/25 07:35 PM

It has to do with the core beliefs. We have subconscious systems that try to make our lives coherent, not necessarily better. So a person who has the deep belief that they are unattractive will pull away subconsciously, to save the narrative. Sucks for everyone but it can happen to anyone.
/r/seduction14/11/25 01:02 PM

This is the most fundamental question there is around this. Many people here haven’t experienced this so it is hard to get answers. Anyway the best mindset I have found is what I call the tourist mindset: you visit a bar or a club and you are like a tourist in a country where people go out and meet people and have sexual encounters afterwards. So you are visiting this country and you try to half jokingly do it. The same way you would join a safari in a faraway country. You wouldn’t fall into des…

/r/seduction10/11/25 10:42 PM

Ok, but isn’t feeling “less than” the number one issue when trying to seduce women? How do you navigate this with the people you coach? In my experience anything a guy does can be cancelled out by an inferior mindset. And from your comment it seems like you say to accept this first. This is an honest question by the way. In fact it is something I have been thinking about for years and years, probably daily.

I mean, if it was possible for dudes to understand what “vibe” even means and to change it accordingly, no one would say no to that. The appearance thing is not an easier pill to swallow, it is just the only visible pill most times.

/r/seduction02/11/25 02:27 PM

I think that this is a slow form of torture actually. The narrative is this: You know that something you have is unattractive, you are told it is not looks. You must not care about it, but on the other hand you have to be your best self. If you check if whatever you are doing is working, of course it doesn’t work because again you started caring if it is working and you are seeking validation. So you have to act like you don’t care and act like you have always been this super attractive guy whic…

Eeeeh I get the logic, but for many people these situations never really come up. Whole years can go by and some guys will only have instances where women at best show a slight fondness of them, which is pretty much indistinguishable from friendliness. Yes and no, I have seen some really good looking guys be completely ignored due to very low intelligence or social skills. Can you describe a situation like that? Without getting into specifics we really can’t understand what you mean. Do you black out and wake up next to a woman in bed? Are women hitting on you and just take you back at their place? From my part I can’t say anything starts if I don’t act very deliberately. I have only seen physically attractive people get these “out of nowhere” results to be honest.

Yeah, just like in the jungles our forefathers lived in, we love scanning for subtle indicators of interest, second guessing every “clue”, being very conscious of the timing of our messages, so as to not show eagerness. My point is that modern life and especially dating have nothing to do with the way we evolved. Men would maybe like to pursue something but playing this weird social game is hell for most.

Unfortunately there is some truth to this because: looks have become a status symbol. It is not just about what looks people are attracted to themselves, now they are using their partner’s looks as a status symbol. The same way a moron would boast a sports car feeling he is better than everyone else because he is seen driving it. So imagine that looks are short circuiting the equation through status as well.

All cool, but I think everything changes when someone comes up to you and asks to show them how to become good at this. And in reality, they mean to have a shot at this because some people have an inherent difficulty at all this. Years can go by and they won’t have any success. Nothing. Then imagine that many such guys come up to you. I think the moment you create a system to teach many guys how to do this, you will inevitably run into all the problems you mention. I mean, I see that many things…

What are the alternatives? You have a whole paragraph on that but you fail to mention that these are simply not available to many people. Online dating is like going fishing without bait and standing around days and weeks waiting. And social game relies on existing large social circles that someone may not have. So what do you propose? Sitting around and wait? At least when you do the cold approaching you are doing something.

I know, I know, I’ll get hate for this but: Wouldn’t this imply that you would see some real life examples of couples that are out of each other’s leagues? And before everyone jumps in to say that yes, they do know such examples, I mean objectively. Like I have many friends who are pretty decent looking, and see another guy in their category with a kinda hot girl and wonder how on earth he could get her. But for me they all are pretty much in the “same league” if that makes sense. All of them ha…

Damn I really despise you screaming drill sergeant types. OP asked about dating inflation. The fact you had to put in X amount of hours to be able to get results doesn’t negate the fact that it exists. On the contrary. Imagine giving that list you just wrote to someone from a previous generation. They wouldn’t even understand most of the concepts. Do they make our lives better outside of dating? Yes, definitely. And we are lucky to live in a time where we can pursue these for our own sake. But f…

Based on what you write in comments, you sound above average so you shouldn’t really feel the effects of this. Actually you are benefiting from this. Men who don’t meet the criteria are exponentially worse off. Of course people like you will just reflexively think that they are not working on themselves and you would be wrong in many cases. There are many things that block someone from going higher like certain traits in looks, how neurotypical they are, social anxiety just to name a few. These …

This post could be renamed to: how to gain a one way ticket to Friendzone Land. I don’t know what it is, but this just doesn’t seem to create the spark required to get the ball rolling in the first place. I feel that a big part is this mindset and the hard part is “switching gears”. I have met and made connections with spectacular women who only want a friendship though. As a result I am trying to become more of a troglodyte in the initial interactions and keep all this stuff out of my mind as m…

Most people don’t understand what you’re saying and are giving you bad advice already. Every time humans communicate they use facial expressions, vocal tonality, etc. Yes, that is the part that gives you away as incongruent. But doing what the others here are saying, “being you” won’t do anything. You will just fade into the background, become a static part of the decoration. Conversely, you need to strengthen all those modes of communication. Flirting is all about making others feel something, …

Yeah that is probably the only way. It is hard for me to understand how to sexualize as you call it. I mean even if you were to tell me that a woman is already attracted to me I am not sure I would know what exactly to do or say. But yeah that is going to be one of my the points I will focus on. Thanks for this.

This has been by far the most difficult thing for me. For years I had no clue how to go from the “default” to the “sexual” vibe. The only times I managed it was when I abruptly changed gears and went from one to the other and that was not smooth, and it almost never worked to be honest. Otherwise I have the ability to platonically connect with people with no effort. But even with friends, discussions never go to sexual stuff, as in even friendly discussions on sex don’t happen (unless I am in fr…

I largely agree but I have to ask: Isn’t now one of the worst times in recent history to go up and talk to someone (and expect an actual conversation)? I think the consensus is that social skills and basic social norms have basically disintegrated. Whether through constantly being online, COVID, you name it. I am definitely seeing more extreme antisocial responses in general.

I deleted my Bumble account before the first week was over. I realized I wasn’t getting any matches (except two who didn’t even reply). It started messing with my head so I quickly got rid of it. Please write a post about this. I am trying to make sense of the basics around attraction and charisma and this goes against everything that I have ever read on the subject. Yeah the “IF she is hooked” part is the whole issue lol. It is really hard to do without physical attractiveness. So you need to have insane charisma which requires top level inner game.

That’s the thing though isn’t it? Anyone can memorize these lines, but I have doubts if anyone could get that reaction from the women. I think the big point here is what do you do after you realize that there is something deeper that is going on.

You didn’t get the comparison. Let me break it down more: You, as well as other people who say you are confident, are essentially complex biological organisms which work optimally for a specific task (attracting women, being socially adept, whatever). This is due to hundreds of thousands of components which work well and somehow get the job done. Now, it is easy to look in the mirror and say wow, there is something mystical here! But what you are seeing, is a complex machine that is working as i…

I see these posts and I wonder, what would the world be like if we took such a surface level approach to all things in life. What would society be like? Your car breaks down? You call the mechanic and he just says “just be Mechanically Sound, bro, you have to BELIEVE to achieve it” You fail an exam? You find a tutor and they just say “it’s all IQ, bro. Just believe it and you will pass” Anyway, I think I made my point, this is just depressing

Hey hey i didn’t mean to imply that these connections have the same amount probability as winning the powerball or whatever. Most of my friends are in relationships that started off just as you say. The initial point still stands. Yes you may get lucky and get a great match fall out of the sky into your lap. The same way you may win the lottery. Great. Is it good advice to sit around and wait for it to happen? I doubt it. So much to unpack here it isn’t even funny You bring up the example of the father being successful as irrefutable proof. I mean, finding a single woman to settle with and have a child with is not bad or something. But it’s nowhere near having a vibrant dating life and exploring your sexuality with multiple partners. Ok, you seem to be naturally socially skilled so that is why none of this makes sense to you. My point is that in order to do all of the things you say, you have to be socially adjusted. If you aren’t, as you say you will fumble and fail. People simply will not want to hang out with you. You definitely won’t be getting any girls either. And as you say, your reputation will be that of the socially awkward person. And depending on how big a lack of skills you have, you won’t understand why this is…

Hey I totally agree. I just think that cold approaching is extremely valuable as a focused form of practice. Waiting around for things to happen organically just doesn’t get in the amount of understanding of oneself that cold approaching does. All the social anxiety gets pushed out into the open. It is brutal but brutally efficient as well. Social events are child’s play after that. Just curious though: let’s say some random guy moves into a new city. How would they build their social circle? Th…

This is like showing a bunch of preschoolers some university level stuff. Let’s say someone has a standard social circle. A few friends here and there, perhaps one or two of them in relationships, but overall they are a small group of friends. This person is starting to understand that they need to step up their game, and maybe start doing some approaches. How on earth can this person and his friend group be transformed into this super extroverted social circle full of hot people who do all the …

As a few other people posted this is hard to deal with, but a unique opportunity. I was there, same exact experience, and you have the added bonus that the other guy is a normal guy. I assume you mean he isn’t like this clearly much better looking guy than you. Research shadow work. The basic idea is that you process subconscious trauma, and you NEED triggering events to do this. Great post. So my guess is that many people haven’t really experienced this, like ever. So that flakey, on-and-off way of being becomes the norm for them. Like, “this is the default, and I better learn to deal with that”.

As someone said, it is simple, but it is not easy. That is why the majority of people struggle with it. Think about it. There are actual books on seduction, and yet reading one will not help somebody except give them some pointers. This is what fascinates me most with this. It is about unlocking a different type of perception in a way.

Yeah this is true. But it is a sum of hundreds, if not thousands of micro interactions you do subconsciously. I could tell you this in theory any day, but once I talk to a woman most theory goes out the window. The trick I guess is to slowly become conscious of your behaviors, and steer yourself gently towards being more direct, one interaction at a time. There is no other way

Try this experiment: re-evaluate what gives you a passion. Movies? Cool, but what about movies? Is it the storytelling aspect? The challenges that arise during production? What I’m getting at is to find something non technical which inspires you about your life, but which can also be something that inspires others and can be applied to their lives. Next, try to keep this mindset and go in with the mentality that you want to share this inspiration, but also vet anyone to see if they are receptive…

I don’t think that OP falls under that category. What he is talking about is the old introvert vs extrovert issue. Going out to a loud club while having low energy and wanting to have deep conversations with other people is like going into an environment which pretty much puts you into a disadvantage. If you just be yourself in that setting you will become invisible in front of high energy people, and your only advantage, which is going for sincere connections, just does not work.
