Nah I haven't been angry for a while, that was years ago.

Similar. I also needed to take a break for a while and go with what felt natural.

Reverse main event is a good way to describe it. For me it was more about lack of respect than lack of sex, so it wasn't "fuck me or fuck you." It was like "you want to know why I'm not answering your question? Because you're being a cunt, and I'm done responding to that cunty attitude. Oh, and you're fat BTW, and I don't like it. What? You say you don't like my new attitude, but you've shown me more respect in the past week than you have in the past two years, so actions speak louder than words…

I'm glad things worked out for you in the end, but 3 years before she responded and a 6 month main event is super long. Like that has to be way outside of the norm. If the alternative is 3 wasted years before things start to turn around then maybe hard Rambo from the start isn't such a bad thing.

Fuck that I don't sleep on the couch when she's pissed off. Just cause she's emotional doesn't mean I don't get to sleep in my own bed. If she got a problem with that she can sleep on the damn couch herself.

I guess what I'm trying to say is what's perceived as a Rambo fuckup might be someone merely at the early stages of putting in the work, so they don't have much to show for it yet. My issue is that general anger phase stuff is typically responded to with a more positive and constructive "We've all been there, you'll get through it" but anyone that's a little too eager and pushes back hard from the outset is told they're a idiot for doing it wrong and written off as a lost cause. I don't think th…

What realistic alternative was there? If I DEERed when confronted to avoid a conflict it would have done more harm than good. Like what I'm saying here is that going Rambo is all but inevitable if you've got any sort of natural inclination towards alpha. When I decided I was done taking her shit I was done. Overnight. I can't fake it. How was that supposed to come off as anything but Rambo? The career betas that still fall into DEERing just don't have it in them to stand up yet.

STFU and leaving after years of DEERing and focusing on self and breaking all of the established expectations of the relationship is what "not taking the shit anymore" looks like. Letting her screech instead of DEERing is like a huge departure from most betas' behavior already, so how is that taking it slow? Like that's what I did and the screeching got louder and louder until she was literally blocking my way as I was leaving and demanding explanations for wtf was going on.

So just be Rambo and own it?

Slow what down though? Are you suggesting noobs shouldn't stand up for themselves? Either you're standing up for yourself or you're not, there's no such thing as standing up only a little. Standing up for a while and then buckling after resistance is probably worse. Standing up only occasionally and intentionally by doing it most of the time....I just don't see how someone can do it. You can't change her, only change yourself is like MRP 101, so I don't think that's it.

Is that where this is from though? Cause it reads to me more like it's from a circlejerk sub where women seek validation from other women by bitching about their men.

Since you're a pro at digging through Reddit history, can you actually show me an example of a woman giving a balanced account where she's half bitching/half praising like that? Because I've never seen one.

If like the first rule of MRP is "watch how she behaves, not what she says" - why would I take anything this woman says as anything but hamstering?

He's not talking about where they started, but where they ended. The two archetypes at the beginning of the unplugging process are the fallen alpha, who entered the relationship generally alpha and lost it along the way, the other is the career beta who never had it in the first place. Fallen alphas have it much easier for a number of reasons - it all comes a lot more naturally and their wives have seen it before and are far more accepting. At the end you have guys that simply spit it up and don…

First thing you need to do is kill the idea that she's your soulmate and the only person you could ever see yourself with. If there was only one other person in the universe you were meant to be with, chances are you would never have met her. She might be a good woman, but there's no shortage of good women. I'm not saying you should throw your marriage away, just saying it's not the end of the world if it happens, life will go on. When you've finally internalized that, you'll be in a better ment…

Fuck her hamster. If she wants to ride some other cock that's her loss, there's no shortage of young women eager to ride mine.

There is a better way, it's called stop being a bitch and get out of her frame. Everything you just said was victim puke. I put the floor I wanted to put in a room I decided needed a new floor, and I decided when and how to do it. In no way was it to appease her, she would have much rather had me do other things with my time and our money. I had peace and quiet to work in zen mode, it was very challenging at times but I enjoy a good challenge and it was very fulfilling when I was done. This wasn…

If you actually read all those books and you're still asking the most basic questions like that then I'm not going to waste my valuable time explaining this shit to you, because I can't do it any better than they have.

I have a very strong feeling that she's deep in her pre-wall epiphany phase and is now seeking a beta provider. "She has a history of abusive relationships" is code for she's a multi-alpha widow and she just can't reconcile settling for such a beta bitch when she's been fucked so good for so long.

Nah, he is so blue right now that he should only next her in his mind and then take this as an opportunity to practice not being such a pussy before he drops her for a clean slate. Otherwise he'll just be back at square one with oneitis for the next chick.

I have no idea how you could have read everything you said you read and then come up with responses like "I know you're mad, I caused it and I'm working on it", or "whenever she feels like talking, venting, or discuss what's bothering her I'm here by her side and ready to listen." Like you are literally doing the exact fucking opposite of everything your reading is telling you to do.

And to add to that, it sounds like his MIL is a very strong woman that wifey defers to. Passing MILs shit tests is like passing a thousand of wifeys shit tests, because if you're dominant over someone she already submits to, she's inclined to submit too. It's not going to be easy but it's like the power play of all power plays. It's one thing to struggle head to head with wifey and come out on top, but displacing her current alpha is like hardcore panty soaking alpha shit at its finest.

You didn't say how long you've since you swallowed the pill, but I just want to add that a mere few weeks after a new baby might not be the best time to start a full blown push for forcefully realigning the power structure in your marriage and putting your foot down as the "authority". That's only going to backfire if you haven't already established strong frame and a track record of owning your shit. You should absolutely take the time to lay the foundation for it - now is a time to man up, but…

I can't say I think of it in terms of SMV vs just general personal development, but unless it can kill me (pulling new HV electric circuits), requires heavy equipment (paving a driveway) or a mistake can cost catastrophic damage (heavy plumbing), I'm doing it my damn self from now on.

But even vanilla RP goes far beyond sex itself and well into the realm of intergender dynamics. RP = the truth of the way things really are between men and women, freed from all the BP disney bullshit. Even if using that knowledge to get women into bed might have been the primary driving force behind formulating the praexology, its only just one practical application of it. The implications are much broader than that. Like we had to make huge advances in aerospace engineering to build ICBMs, tha…

Yeah, but why are those women hanging around with those guys in the first place? Cause you're not doing it for her to the point where she's willing to take the risk of losing you. She'll probably start with denying you sex and then move on to seeking alternatives, like dreading in reverse. It's not necessarily how she intrinsically is vs what you let her become. So it's like the same process in the end - the guy with the faithful but frigid wife is one step away from being the guy with a emotion…

Stop thinking in terms of absolutes. It can be important to a point, and then other things take priority. For example to a guy that's not getting fucked at all, nothing else matters. Whereas if the same guy is getting a good lay often enough, even if he'd prefer to be fucking better and/or more often, a lack of respect might be a bigger issue. It's all in constant flux anyway and may take a while to figure out what matters to him and put in the work to figure out how flexible the situation is.

Ya I dunno if I buy into the LL idea, it sounds like rationalization/hamstering to me. Guy finds himself in a low sex marriage and/or with an unattractive woman, therefore learns to live with less/low quality sex and protects his ego by rationalizing that he's just LL. Put him in front of a dozen hot women that are starving for his cock, remove any life consequences and I bet he'd fuck them all until his dick fell off. Likewise when a woman says her man is LL, I'm more inclined to believe he jus…

Cause it's not either/or. Why settle for a whore wife with otherwise decent qualities when you could have a non-whore wife with those same qualities? There's no amount of that other stuff that would make a man satisfied with a woman that doesn't want to fuck him too, even if fucking isn't his #1 priority.

It's not as clear as you think it is. It reads like "If your wife cheats, she's a whore. In fact, if she stops fucking you, she might as well be cheating and she's still a whore and you're a loser if you don't realize that."

That's I interpreted "if you think going from dead bedroom, to fucking the same woman who used to reject you is some sort of success, then your bar for success is very low indeed." If you only meant that statement to apply to a dead bedroom + emotional/physical affair situation then I'm with you, but that isn't clear from your statement. They're two separate things - hypergamy can lead an otherwise faithful woman to have an affair with someone of higher value solely because they're much higher v…

I agree with almost all of the above. Next her at cheating/emotional affair is a rock solid rule that I can't think of any reasonable exceptions to. But saying that going from a dead bedroom to owning your shit and fucking an otherwise faithful woman three times a week is a failure is going too far. When you have a family there's more at stake in a divorce than just the hole you're sticking your dick into. By that measure every single one of us that owns our shit and still stays with the same wo…

Hard for me to say without having fully gone down the other path. I actually like my wife as a person and see her as more than a hole to jizz into or a child that needs to be constantly manipulated on a molecular level to optimize her behavior. Of course I understand AWALT on the most fundamental level, but at a higher level they're all different and not interchangeable, and I'm attached and invested in mine. She's also the mother of my children so while I can always find another woman to replac…

Shrug. I dunno, I'd much rather have done the floor. It was peaceful and I learned a lot, and I had something great to show for it at the end. The pizzeria was right by the home supply store and the girl behind the counter is a super cute HB9 so I never mind the trip. I was already in the house with the clothes and the inlaws are close enough that it wasn't really out of my way. I wanted to wish my family a good night so I did it all it one fell swoop, it was no sweat off my back and was a nice …

It doesn't matter. The fact is that she didn't. Does she usually care about these things? I don't know what led up to it, does she have a reason to be tired? I'm not traveling halfway around the world, getting shit sleep on a plane, being heavily jet lagged and then ready to climb a mountain an hour later. Not unless I've been looking forward to it my whole life and I just can't wait or someone's got me so psyched up about it that it sounds like the BEST THING EVER. It's one thing to expect some…

The negativity is just oozing out of you, especially in the post you referred. You dragged her instead of leading her, and then you berated her for it. You did not need to show her a plan and have her sign off on it, at least not in my opinion. First thing - you know her better than we do. Does she usually have a problem with heat or noise, or get tired easily? Does she normally enjoy travel and seeing sites? If she has a narrow comfort zone, then it's up to you to make her feel comfortable when…

Give me an example of what you mean. Like going out for the night? Planning vacation? The crux of that question is why she's reluctant. Is it something you know she doesn't like to do? Something she's afraid of? Something she knows nothing about, etc?
/r/MarriedRedPill22/08/17 02:16 PM

No, you've got it all wrong. She's not your enemy. -It's fine if she's involved in decisions, especially when it's her strength. I'd generally say she has a better aesthetic sense then me. That's why I asked her which if the two she preferred. She didn't have a preference, so I just decided. If she had a major objection I would have heard her out, etc. She gets the choice to opt out of decisions for the most part, but that's fine - since being decisive should be one of your strengths anyway. Jus…

I don't follow. You talking about buying extra planks to learn with, then trashing those and doing it right from the start?

Yeah, it was definitely not a good look. I'm honestly not even sure if it was better or worse than the alternative of quietly complying with everything she said. It was such a mindfuck, like here I am sacrificing so much to make a better life for you and the kids, and you don't appreciate any of it and still act like you're doing everything around the house? At one point I even made a list of the shit I do around the house and it was twice as big as hers, like that was supposed to settle it once…

It's only irrational at face value. When you realize it was never about the floor to begin with, but rather about if you still have a pair, it's quite rational. But even then, another epiphany came from a sidebar book. I forget which one, maybe someone can help me out. It was about how desire can't be negotiated, but it drives the point home by framing it in terms men could understand. Like do you look at a beautiful woman and contemplate "hmm, nice rack, symmetrical face, good weight" - and the…

It took me a while to wrap my mind around exactly what that meant. If you had asked me back then I would have told you I was standing up for what I wanted, cause I wouldn't hesitate to fight it out with her on stuff like this. But in reality I was only fighting it out because I felt like I needed to convince her I was right - which put me completely in her frame. And of course it was all a big covert contract. I thought I was being a saint by always trying to put her wants and needs before mine,…
