This!! Furthermore, getting upset about cultural appropriation is stupid anyway.

Naw, it's less offensive because the emotional content of the word is less potent. Emotions are the only reason why "cunt" is such a vulgar term to certain people.

Ever heard of abortion?

Yes, in their eyes, feminism has been all about equality - but equality to them means "women need more power to be equal to men". Obviously in many countries this is still applicable, because women don't have the same legal rights that men enjoy, but definitely not true in the USA. Here, feminists are still trying to give more power/protections/opportunities to women and not men, which I believe is tipping the balance in the other direction. I'm thinking it's actually becoming more of a matriarc…

Would you go to some kind of men-only group if you had a choice, if it was perfectly acceptable by everyone?

This made me laugh. Sorry you had to deal with that. The thing with a lot of women, especially feminists, is that they blame everyone else for triggering their emotional responses and they expect everyone to change how they act in order to avoid triggering those emotional responses again. But these women don't realize that they are the only ones who are responsible for their emotions, and these emotional responses can be triggered by anything. Nobody "makes" someone upset or hurt. I learned this…

Well, it's ironic because feminists are supposed to be defending women's rights, yet they try to censor and ridicule me for having a different point of view. But I know what you mean... die-hard feminists tend to be the type of person I despise.

Exactly. This could even translate to relationships, for heterosexual feminists that only study women's rights with women, for example. First of all, they have a particular belief about men and their privileges, and then they have less experience with relationships with men. I can imagine they would have difficulty even relating to men, unless he was a feminist too, because their perspectives would be totally different. I've personally spent a lot of time around men, and I feel like I understand…

It's hard to say whether or not just how many women actually do feel the need to have women's groups. All I know is that women do prefer to have women-only self defense classes, according to a teacher, because women feel uncomfortable when men are watching them. Like they feel embarrassed because they are so new to "fighting" that they have terrible form or whatever. It's possible some women have this same kind of embarrassment (or fear) when it comes to their careers. Or perhaps it's all about …

As a woman, I don't understand why there are so many women that feel uncomfortable around men so they need a private women's club to help each other out. Personally I would feel more uncomfortable being surrounded by women like that. In my experience, men are less intimidating and more supportive than some of the women I've met. Some of the most vicious people I've come across were women (ironically feminists too). But that doesn't mean I avoid women or uncomfortable situations. And above all, i…

/r/Askfeminists is worse. I thought I was a feminist until I got on reddit and shared my opinion, which apparently is not a feminist point-of-view because I was ripped apart and told that only feminists can make first level replies. I can't even have a different opinion in /r/girlgamers because I get attacked and verbally abused. Same thing happens on Twitter and Facebook. It's like there's no safe place for me, a WOMAN, to have a discussion with a differing perspective. Here, it's not so viciou…

The legal system is so fucked. The judge denies a motion to retract the conviction because the whole case was based on a lie, because it was untimely? Yeah, it's so inconvenient for justice to react to new information, just like it was inconvenient for this guy and his family to deal with a huge life-changing event that wasn't their fault.

Okay, that doesn't mean that ALL feminists agree with her. I used to call myself a feminist until other feminists started labeling me as an MRA, just because I said that women have certain power that men don't have. Let me rephrase what I said above to "strawman feminists' arguments", then.

It's funny because I WAS a feminist, until feminists started attacking me for having conflicting beliefs. Then I realized I have more in common with MRAs than feminists. In fact, I love hanging out with men more than women because of a lot of reasons. I consider myself slightly anti-feminist (or at least anti-strawman feminists) because they focus solely on women's rights. At this moment, I am arguing with feminists because they want to keep men's rights out of feminist subreddits, even though t…

Everybody does stupid things. Everybody learns things at different times. I don't judge the person for that - that's their life journey they're experiencing. She could easily know something that is "obvious", but perhaps you don't know. She might not judge you for that, so why judge her? In any case, the author of the blog didn't suddenly realize that "false rape is bad", she realized how easily false rape accusations can be assumed to be true and then completely fuck up an innocent person's lif…

Vampy didn't say that's the ONLY way to learn something. She's (assuming its a she) assuming that everyone has learned something that way at LEAST ONCE in their entire lives.

Exactly. This should be celebrated, not a time for a petty attack against a feminist. This sort of behavior is what fuels misandry, strengthening feminists' arguments against men's rights. I'm holding you to a higher standard because this is the only way to make progress.

I want to go in that subreddit and rant about how women/feminists censor and verbally abuse me, and make me feel powerless, as a woman.

This sort of thing makes me kind of embarrassed as a woman, and why I don't call myself a feminist. I'm tired of this hypocritical bullshit that women do. Even if I call it out, they essentially censor me and call me misogynistic. Technically I've been raped by a man according to the feminist definition, but I knew it was my fault. I couldn't honestly call myself a rape victim. And it wasn't violent at all. I wonder how they would react to a woman disagreeing with them.
