I'm trying to be a firefighter and right now I'm the miniority as a white male. All departments want is to get an image and have woman and other diversity. I have nothing against different cultures and ethnicities but if you look at the majority of people who want to be firefighters it's white males who have trained for years to become a firefighter. But if your anything else than that you will most likely get picked with no experience.
