I bought my dog for my ex but he was always mine. I was the one that woke up with him at 5am, even on the weekends and when she was home and not working late he would still go to bed with me. When things got rough and I slept in the other room, he was with me. I tried getting him on the weekends but after awhile I realized it was preventing me from moving on (plus seeing her sucked). One day I just ripped off the bandaid. It’ll suck for awhile but the road you’re on now will lead you to a lot of…

Honestly man take time to heal and just be yourself. You are worthy of love and the more real you are when you get back out there the more real your love will be. Dating sites are a good way to get back out there, brush off your dating skills and meet some new people. I actually met my girl friend when I stopped the online stuff but had fun doing it. Just be careful not to involve anyone new with your girls too soon

Just play the role and fake it until they’re old enough to ask. Even though I lost my faith a long time ago I think religion is important for children to develop their sense of morality. Since I grew up catholic it’ll be easier for me to explain it to my daughter when she’s old enough. God is just like Santa. Something grown ups made up to get you to act right.

Like others have said talk to your lawyer but if she’s already moving out then I would wait. Someone told me not to make any big decisions for at least 6 months after it’s final. Saved me from doing a lot of dumb shit I wanted to do.

I honestly feel for you. I wish I had this sub when I was drunk naked and rage crying on the floor of my house I had to sell. I know there’s a void right now and it feels like nothing will fill it. Take it slow. Find one thing you enjoy and try to pursue it. For me it was music and I ended up starting a decent vinyl collection. Find that one thing, dive head first into it and then find another thing. Your son will always be your number one focus but you also have to discover something for yourse…

I had just turned 30 when we filed. Honestly women reaching telling me they were glad I was single again gave me a boost and started to get my confidence back. Didn’t want anything to do with those women but it was still nice to hear.

I’m really sorry. We never really know exactly what was going on inside the other person when they decide to leave. You’ll never get completely over it. I’ve been divorced for almost 5 years now but it will hurt less over time. Focus on yourself. You’re in the best possible situation to move forward and sounds like you have a lot of positive things going for you. Don’t give up!!

We all have similar feelings and experiences. I won’t promise you that the next 6 months will be much better than your last 6. I can promise you that you will find peace in time. Don’t let this destroy your feelings of self worth! For me after everything was final and I had to sell my house was when I really hit rock bottom. Don’t make any big decisions for 6 months after and keep the faith brother!

There’s nothing harder than accepting the end of any relationship. Even more so than when you thought you found the person you wanted to grow old with. I know it’s cliché but things do get better over time. If you’ve tried to fight for your marriage and it hasn’t solved anything than you’ve done what you can. You’ll reach a point where you need to start focusing on your happiness

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
