2	Teens and custody My experience is quite dated, but similar, with my son (adopted) just prior to his 15th choosing to come live with me full time when his mum also decided to move in her new boyfriend and his 2 daughters (11 & 9) and blend families (my daughter 11 at the time remained). At that time the ex had primary custody and lived 4000km away from me.
