2	Why would any potential mother want a son in Western society? You are seeing this from a one sided perspective and thinking that women are advancing which is true. But it doesn't stop men from doing the same thing. You stated that women are choosing to go to college in graduate more than men. Which is a true statement but it's not based on anything bad or society pushing for it more. It's more based on women choosing to become more financially stable and having a better standing in society. The same thing can happen to a man too and it should.
