Any success stories after divorce?I feel like I was emotionally separated a year prior to actual divorce and move out. I started dating a woman a little older than me 2months post sock day. She makes as much money as me, no kids, has her own life (I’m not the sole focus) she needs/wants nothing but my time. This is so foreign to me, exciting for sure. I’m enjoying being with someone mature with goals. Who knows where this goes, or if this is success. Financially I’m sunk for several more years though. | /r/Divorce_Men | 15/01/23 03:39 PM
Experiences with alimony? That would help me significantly… mine are pre taxed figures… which is insane. | /r/Divorce_Men | 10/10/22 03:17 PM
Experiences with alimony? It’s based off what you end up making. Not based off the prior year.. so don’t spend it all in case she comes for it. | /r/Divorce_Men | 10/10/22 03:15 PM
Experiences with alimony? It was, my annual bonus could be collected as well… which pisses me off more than giving away more than half my monthly income lol | /r/Divorce_Men | 10/10/22 01:54 PM
Experiences with alimony?Kansas good sir! | /r/Divorce_Men | 10/10/22 01:53 PM
Experiences with alimony?Sorry brother but yes, the max if she so chooses and if she has an attorney she will. I’m a 6figure earner and she was a stay at home mom. I’m now on the hook for 3k per month and all child care and medical expenses. Luckily her alimony will run out in 22months, which I’m counting! Lol | /r/Divorce_Men | 10/10/22 03:35 AM

What are the things that can reduce or eliminate alimony? There isn’t anything “fair” or “50/50” when you have a dick between your legs in divorce.. you can only hope to make it a little less shitty.. | /r/Divorce_Men | 21/05/22 12:51 AM
The house…Look out interest rates for refi are stupid right now.. forced me to sell my house | /r/Divorce_Men | 15/05/22 10:27 PM

I hate her..I’m trying to focus on where I’ll live that’s close to my kids, pay them bills, and not end up moving multiple counties away due to COL. 4000/Mo including child care.. | /r/Divorce_Men | 05/05/22 01:05 PM
I hate her..I’m also paying 3500/mo.. it’s gut wrenching… 24months of maintenance left.. makes all that hard work grinding to a six figure job feel not worth it knowing more than half my monthly take home is going to her… to do nothing. What’s the point | /r/Divorce_Men | 05/05/22 12:56 PM
I hate her..she was stay at home while I busted my ass to build us up financially, which she also ruined. I don’t have any assets left but my house and I have to split that with her 50/50. I simply don’t have any money to continue the fight. | /r/Divorce_Men | 05/05/22 12:48 PM

What could have saved your relationship? You are right about that.. women think they know what they want but rarely ever know. And if for some reason they get that guy they thought they wanted.. it’ll never be enough. | /r/Divorce_Men | 24/04/22 06:20 PM
What could have saved your relationship?Respect, the second she looses respect of you and your personal boundaries, you are in a death spiral. Women don’t want a subservient man, always remember that! | /r/Divorce_Men | 24/04/22 05:00 PM
we always hear about the divorce, but not often about reconciliation.Real reconciliation is very rare… men accepting their shitty circumstances likely… is that reconciliation? | /r/Divorce_Men | 14/04/22 04:05 AM
I need a hobby, but i don't want one. I need friends but i don't want any. I need a girl in my life but i know i can't put up with BS anymore. How to proceed ?David Goggins: Can’t Hurt Me. Read it, take control brother! | /r/Divorce_Men | 13/04/22 02:54 AM
Finally confronted my wife about her affair last night…is it too early to forgive?Once you get through the initial fog, don’t fall victim to hysterical bonding with your WS. I did and had a 3rd kiddo. The lack of respect came back about at year into reconciliation, then DB, then back into couples counseling, then I shocked her and told her “I’m done, we’re getting a divorce” reconciliation is simply too rare to think it’ll work for just anyone. Keep your head up, it took me almost 4 years to finally pull the divorce cord, but now I’m more clear than I ever have been and will … | /r/Divorce_Men | 11/04/22 01:19 AM

Feeling like a failure after divorceThe person you marry is never the person you divorce. Rich Cooper is a little divisive but reading/listening to his book Unplugged Alpha helped me tremendously. Maybe it’ll help you brother | /r/Divorce_Men | 20/03/22 09:54 PM
