You might be mistaken because in the post it says they chanted for “equal pay” and other posts say that there was a lawsuit for “equal pay”. Because in terms of revenue I believe they get more according to some article I was looking for information on.

Also, going back to your original statement, one single woman’s match would not bring in as much revenue as a men’s game, they play more often and are greatly more supported compared to other country’s teams, therefore have an advantage against other countries, allowing them to make the World Cup more often, and ultimately make more money than they would if other countries had the same support for their woman’s teams.

Except saying “your secretary in another country is paid less because she is a woman...” does not directly affect your country. In the World Cup it does because revenue is split between participants. Other countries bringing in more revenue will directly affect the pay of USA. And since a lot of other countries couldn’t give a shit about their woman’s program, those countries revenue is lost, however the men’s is still actively watched. And the amount more revenue that men’s team gets is outrage…

Yes these sources are credible and have valuable facts, to compare the men and women’s leagues correctly you should judge the entirety of the World Cup not just the best team from the women’s league and a team that has been on a bad streak from the men’s league. According to this source “The men still pull the World Cup money wagon. The men’s World Cup in Russia generated over $6 billion in revenue, with the participating teams sharing $400 million, less than 7% of revenue. Meanwhile, the Women’…

The girls would probably lose because they physically have a handicap compared to boys.

Holy shit did you actually call us dense/ignorant because men: Play a higher level of the game, therefore bring more money in, which ultimately, you guessed (hopefully you guessed it), allows for more money to be paid. Strange how if women don’t bring as much revenue they don’t get paid as much🤔. Don’t even say the bring in more because they don’t. Not nearly as many viewers watch women soccer as they do men’s soccer. Most men who watch soccer watch men’s soccer and not women’s soccer. Most wome…

Yeah my fucking 3 year old doesn’t get paid the same as a top tier fucking player because “the top tier player brings more money for the team.” Well fuck that my son should be getting paid to play damn soccer.

Not this sub but this post inflicts sexism. The sub is mainly men who don’t approve of “You can’t hit a woman”

Imagine you are in a league, there is a higher and lower division. People would rather watch the higher division even if you are the worst team in it rather than watching the lower team win the lower division. It’s because it’s higher level of the game. Faster, more physical, and more skilled.

What I haven’t been hearing/seeing in these comments is that a U16 girls team beat the national team too.

Now I may be wrong, but I think that includes the women’s World Cup revenue and since men’s team didn’t make the World Cup and the women’s team won the World Cup that accounts for some of that.

But also they lost to a U16 girls team so next generation might be more talented
