What would you say is some of the more common bad advice on here?

You should clarify what you mean by Narcissism. Depending on the context it could range from a person who is sexually aroused by their appearance, a person who has delusional beliefs about their self worth (apart from appearance), or a person with a mental disorder that who is unable to distinguish themselves from other objects and people in world. To give you another perspective think of it this way. Men and Women who are both adults should be allowed to do what they want within reason. Misogyn…

oneitis and neediness is bad Yes they are, but wanting a lustful monogamous relationship isn't.

You're looking this through the lenses of a gender dichotomy. Gender relationships are a trend, but ultimately whether your male, female, or some else awesome people are attracted to the same thing, and that is power power comes in many forms, and is fluid in nature: The power to protect is attractive to those who feel scared. The power to calm is attractive to those who feel anxious. The power to excite is attractive to those who feel bored. The power to sexualize is attractive to those who fee…

An alpha is one who maintains the most power within a group. Power is not inherent in a person, but rather given to a person by their peers. Do you agree with me so far?

To be frank TRP evangelizes the Dark Triad traits which are effective when used properly. They just make you into a massive asshole that if exposed to sunlight you generate a smell most foul. While I do believe it's important for people to be aware of the Dark Triad Traits (since everyone exhibits at least a low degree of them at sometimes) I do not believe people should cultivate them for the sole purpose of personal benefit.

This is a fair point, but your passive-aggressive tone hurt any chance of people taking you seriously.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/10/15 06:44 AM

My issue with TRP is the blanket statements about women, such as asserting that all women are children, incapable of logic, etc. etc., while asserting that men are superior in x, y, and z ways, all supported by often baseless rationalizations that amount in a lot of circular logic. Oh god the worse is when they go into their psuedo-evolutionary-psychology theories. Conjecture is one thing, but for fuck sake quit acting like you know what the fuck humans felt 100s of thousands of years ago.

Ideas in and of themselves are amoral in nature. They have no ability to cause benefit nor harm (now that's not to say expression of ideas within a given context can not be harmful nor beneficial, but rather any idea in a neutral context such as an internet forum are mostly amoral in nature). It isn't immoral to think of red pill ideas, it's only immoral to cause harm to others. I know it's not that simple in the end but overall this is the way I lean.

I don't get why people ask this. It's apparently obvious that in most cases men can easily over power women do to inherent biological differences in muscle mass. Are there exceptions? Yes. Should we make general rules of thumb based on exceptions? No. Of course this all changes when a weapon is used

This thread has it all, gentlemen. Read all of it. No matter how much women squawk about equal rights and feminism, they don't want equality because they are not biologically capable of it. They want to be led and they want to obey. Ever wonder why people hate this sub? It's because the culture here doesn't seem to recognize that people (in general) have facets of themselves other than their sexual attraction. Of course some women find what your describing sexually attractive but it isn't what a…

Bull-fucking-shit There may be gender specific situations sure, but it all revolves around the (not incompetent, but lacking in focus) boss having a 'particular fondness' or an 'aversion to confrontation'. I've seen both from each gender, and frankly from my past this has been 50ish/50ish.

I respectfully disagree. Truth is the like dietary fiber of mankind, without it shit never moves forward. That said truth, like fiber, should to be palatable or else no one will consume it. Oscar Wild said it best: “If you want to tell people the truth, make them laugh, otherwise they'll kill you.”

The basic idea was that its sometimes not lying to totally embellish your story because that's how it felt, not that that was what actually happened. IMO I have no problem people doing this in the right context. For example stories are more interesting if you embellish them (within reason of course) and don't hurt anyone's reputation. But shit talking about people with lies to slander them? Reprehensible. Despicable. Lying in a Criminal court of law to get revenge or for personal gain? Unforgiva…

Sorry buddy but you got that mixed up. Gender Feminist are the bad ones. Gender Feminist want each Gender to have special rules and double standards in favor of women to equal out historical, societal, economic, and biological inequalities, and also demonize (and sometimes monetize) male sexuality. Equity Feminist recognize each gender is different but equal (not in a middle eastern kind of way though), and we need to root out unfair societal and economic inequalities but while maintaining the r…

She pulled him in to the toilet with him. It's statements like that that make females who have a BDSM fetish feel frightened to report actual cases of rape when it does happen. So the the fuck what? You don't know what happened off camera. It's entirely possible he became violent once the doors were locked. In cases like this you NEED to look at the circumstances surrounding the event. Did anyone here read the article? There really isn't any proof that to confirm or deny the allegations other than that the accused was seen leaving the same bathroom as the accuser. This is the worse of cases because everything is circumstantial. But... A guy went into the same bathroom as girl. Maybe this is just a dumb nightclub thing but I would consider that 1 strike for inconclusive. You can be Bill Gates, and give, give, give until your fortune runs dry (he doesn't) and the world would cry out for more. Bill Gates literally saved lives donating a metric shit ton of condoms to Africa. Will they eventually need more condoms? Of course. Does that change the fact that they help prevent the spread of AIDs? absolutely not. You're being a dick. Charity, when doled out wisely, is vital to the world.

Being diagnosed can be good or bad. You now have the knowledge of what you are inherently deficient in, and have the knowledge of how to cope. Never become a victim, even if you accept that things are a struggle take solace in it instead of disparagement. Life with ADHD is hard, and you'll never stop having the urge to slack, and will probably go through cycles of motivation and unmotivation frequently. I think your point has a good core to it but for some people books and other sources of knowledge are what help them find something within themselves that lead them to success. Some people are just hindered by counter-intuitive methods, some people never improve without them. Most people use a variety that suites them. I'm pretty shitty when it comes to learning intuitively, I need to study things, then put them into practice until my intuitions become good in that particular field. But without …

Profound has several meanings which change according to context. I'm not sure how someone earns sexual validation, to me it just seems like something freely given out to people who are interested in each other. How do you determine when someone is worthy of your sexual validation?

If you think that a cute girl (assuming that she was attractive enough for him to approach) actually needs some random guy to make her feel worthy of being talked to, then you probably don't know how many times attractive-looking women receive attraction signals from random guys on any given day. You'd surprised at how some women feel about themselves and what a little validation can do. I used the phrase narrow intellectual sense because I'm well aware of emotions being intellectualized, and there is a common perception of intellect being separate from emotions. I presumed you were coming from that perspective, and I apologize for being presumptuous. That said you weren't being detailed enough on why you thought it was superficial, and questionably profound. That's not really the point, it is unhealthy to think like that either way. Also odds are you don't know whats going on in that person's life that could be influencing her to act like that so you really shouldn't judge beyond understanding that she doesn't want to interact with you.

Until eSports become a profitable spectator sport the cuurent champs are somewhat fanatical since they invest so much time for little more than honor within a very small group of ppl. That said it's the small dedicated fans who make a path for future popularity if it ever catches on.

Hate the phrase act like an adult. It assumes some activities are unhealthy for adults yet are perfectly healthy for children. We should not be raising our children in the opposite direction we want them to live in. I play video games now and will probably never stop.
