I sub to 2X, MR, and Feminism... Have yet to get shit for that anywhere, especially here. Even when I comment in MR in a way that makes it obvious im a women or that I also ascribe to parts of feminism... Rarely do I get shit for it, and its always the minority. MR isn't redpill for fucks sake.

...Did you just try to excuse the stubenville rape case? She was unconscious! There's a difference between consenting to sex while you're drunk and then regretting and not consenting to sex, not consenting to being dragged around to different parties, and not consenting to being photographed and having your pictures posted on social media. Can you honestly say, male or female or anything on the spectrum, that you would be okay with that happening to you? That's rape. What Amy describes is rape. …

I think it goes along with the victim complex thing some/quite a few feminists have. That by not support feminism and only feminism, we're putting ourselves in a position to be victims of the patriarchy, and that's inconceivable.

A large amount of women MRA's quietly lurking and having an interest in women's issues while not feeling comfortable piping up are there too. You can tell when someone makes a comparison between MRA and Feminist issues, and it get's down voted into silence, but there's a stream of quiet upvotes. Not that they tend to believe we're really women, because apparently women don't ever support the MRM.

Can someone tell me the difference between this and a draft? I really don't know much about it.

That begs the question, what type of education are they considering in the infographic? Just college?

I'm thinking especially of some TV shows that used to exist that emphasized metro-sexuality, which weren't offensive on their own, but elicited some pretty sexist responses from the people I knew who watched them. Things like "he's just a faggot who's afraid to come out" and "he's not a real man" were often said. Then again I would argue that terms like 'tom boy' shouldn't exist at all, because someone stepping out of those gender roles shouldn't be so radical as to deserve their own term. When …

I disagree. I've only ever heard it in a negative sense, and usually with something even more negative tacked on as well. But everyone uses words differently. Some people use 'tom boy' negatively too, you know. It can be synonymous with 'dike'. It all depends on who's speaking.

Toys are all about setting the stage for gender roles. Boys caring about fashion (barbies) or parenting (baby dolls) as opposed to violence (monster trucks) and manly careers (fire trucks and GI Joes) pisses people off. The gender roles for women have become more flexible in recent times, women have a choice, so little girls can play with baby dolls and GI Joes as much as they want. But men are still restricted as hell. They even have a word for men who step outside of their set gender role just…

So you posted it online. What else did you do about it? Did you call him out? Did you provide an opposite opinion? Or did you just screencap it and bring it here to circlejerk about it? Huffing and puffing about something like this isn't activism. Protesting it is. Attempting to change this very attitude is.

It was a play on the old "Tupperware" parties women often had (especially in the 1950's) to fund raise. It's less common now, since women can get jobs easily and don't need to rely on Avon. Nowadays when they happen it's more with sex toys, since it's much more comfortable to buy and learn about sex toys with your friends than it is to go to a seedy shop alone, and fundraising and partying go well together. Not only was the caricature of the Venezuelan woman blatantly racist, but the entire skit…

Because racial segregation and having to wrap your Willy are pretty much the same thing, right? Unlike racial segregation, this (the pregnancy) where both parties are equally responsible- barring rape, and he hasn't said that she raped him. Yes, men need an avenue open to them to forgo parenthood. That's why I strongly support the paper abortion idea. But forcing someone to take something against their will or without their knowledge, which could bring serious harm to their body, as well as kill…

I'd like to think there aren't that many people who think that equality movements are alive solely on the internet. Yes, some (if not most) of the attitudes on this sub suck and like I said, enough with the pissing contests... but that doesn't invalidate the movement.

Edit: I thought you were responding to another comment of mine, so ignore my original comment. My problem is I see to much on this sub of bitching about feminism and less of discussing actual issues related to men.

First of all, they're trying to share shampoo, they're jumping on a band wagon. Second, I've experienced these double standards, as have many other women, so it can't be said that they don't exist. I think this is where the problem lies; the commercial is running with the idea that men never get criticized for anything, ever. That men get to do whatever they want and are praised for it, but women will never receive any sort of approval for their actions. That's bull. I would almost go so far as …

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought there were things more relevant to men's rights than having a pissing contest with feminists.

Seriously, most of what I've read in this thread is asking her if she got sexual pleasure for it and/or saying she must have a problem disciplining her kids and she's really at fault. What the hell?

Her actions may be pardonable? Hold up, I'm gonna flash my breasts at you right now, if you like them then you're at fault for my actions. I don't understand how she could be seen as at fault in any way. He's thirteen, he may not be old enough to be allowed to participate in sexual activity, but he's certainly old enough to know better than to do what he did and to be held accountable. Whether he did it because he gained sexual pleasure from it or just as an adolescent prank doesn't matter, beca…

Stupid question, but do numbers like that take into account that women can also rape other women, or is it about women assaulting men?

I keep saying he because you cited one guy in your original comment who you were obviously in a position to talk to. And I can't believe they don't don't listen when they are told that what they are doing is dangerous! Like that other woman said, she had to go to the ER after taking the pill because of an allergic reaction. One day one of these guys are going to put a girl in the hospital and it'll all come down on them. Edit: I read your original comment wrong and you did mention more than one …

I'm not saying you're at fault for it, I am just wondering if you or anyone else has brought it to his attention that what he's doing can be dangerous for their health. I mean, does he even realize, or does he think it's completely safe?
/r/MensRights20/09/13 08:59 AM

He does know how dangerous that is, yes? That there's a reason it's not supposed to be used routinely, and he could seriously mess up someone's health like that?

As someone who thinks that 16 is a reasonable age of consent in most situations (which is a whole different story) that's one thing, perhaps. But fourteen? It doesn't matter if that fourteen year old boy thought that was the coolest thing in the world at the time, having the same attitude that a lot of freshman I knew in highschool, male and female, had about "older, more experienced men/women". The rest of that kids' life is going to be haunted by what he wasn't ready to experience. Sex might n…

The only time I've ever seen a room separate from the actual restroom intended for baby care it's been only been accessible to women, because it was reserved for women who wanted to breastfeed somewhere besides a dirty toilet. Which is, you know, nice, but I always thought it was dumb that my father had to send me into the nice, carpeted, private room with couches to change my sisters' diapers when I was nine and they were infants, lest someone call the security guards on him. Of course he'd alw…

I'm a woman. I wore a sexy Halloween costume. I made it myself. I enjoyed it and the way I looked in it. I went to a private part among friends that night where I wouldn't be in danger, like I would be wearing that shit out in the street, because it was highly inappropriate. What? A woman taking responsibility for her freedom of choice? I consider myself a feminist, and stuff like this is the reasons I generally don't tell people that.
