I don’t think a kiss on the cheek is enough to express your interest, that’s how many friends greet each other. Also springing a kiss on a friend in public has the chance to turn out poorly unless you read the situation correctly. I give a two strikes policy for flakes. If you're very serious about mma I would suggest lifting for strength (I like 5x5 sets) and not muscle mass/volume. Definitely do some research. Cardio is super important also. But if mma is just going to be a side hobby you do a few times a week you're prolly fine sticking to your usual schedule (but take it easy if you feel tired or hurt) Best of luck!
