I could fully function while on it but even a 2 mg decrease would give me withdrawal symptoms for 2 weeks. The only way I was able to fully quit was using Suboxone because it doesn’t stay in your system as long as methadone. Suboxone still has the same benefit of methadone like allowing you to function normally, not really be high, and makes you not crave more opiates.
