The problem is that many young guys buy expensive cars in hopes of attracting chicks or generally elevating their social status. But the kind of people (especially chicks!) who will base their opinion of you on your car will usually also recognise that it's several years old (unless it isn't, then congratulations, you're rich as fuck).
