Does wife making more than husband contribute to relationship issues?Probably has something to do with physical protection and high earning women not needing a smart guy as much. | /r/Divorce_Men | 29/12/23 07:18 PM
| – | Does wife making more than husband contribute to relationship issues? They will pay something for a strong fearless guy with a big bulge who makes less money (usually with his hands). That has value whereas a the opposite just typically doesn’t too them no matter how smart the guy might be. | /r/Divorce_Men | 29/12/23 07:16 PM |
| – | Does wife making more than husband contribute to relationship issues?I’ve seen it work but it usually doesn’t. In almost every case I’ve seen it work the guy was in the top few percent of masculinity and the women isn’t the equivalent in beauty. I’ve never seen it work when the guy was less than average masculinity. I have seen the highly masculine guy get dumped in these situations and it’s usually by beautiful women. Don’t try it | /r/Divorce_Men | 29/12/23 07:12 PM |
What to expect if there's not much money?I would think the court in your jurisdiction would take her lower cost of living into consideration. You could also try to get an order that she seek work. I wouldn’t quit your job. You might both get an adverse judgment and not have as an easy of a time getting a new position as expected | /r/Divorce_Men | 29/12/23 04:56 PM
What to expect if there's not much money?Try not to focus on these types of statements she made and just keep going over the numbers with her. Good chance her standard of living simply cannot be what she is imagining currently- basically it stays the same and you are just out of the picture | /r/Divorce_Men | 29/12/23 04:45 PM
It seems the less attention you give them the more they want to be with youNever give up on your kids | /r/Divorce_Men | 29/11/23 03:51 AM
I really don't think I'm going to fight this ... at all.You don’t have to win necessarily, it just has to be that she thinks twice before trying to dictate your life with your kids etc. There is a very real risk it will be arbitrary bs like she doesn’t want the kids around your new girlfriend just to fuk you up when it comes to anything good. | /r/Divorce_Men | 12/11/23 09:47 PM
I really don't think I'm going to fight this ... at all.I hear you. I understand how you think. Still, I think you should put up some fight or this doesn’t end until your youngest is 18. She will fuk with here and there every year like it’s some kind of sport or on her every mood or mind change | /r/Divorce_Men | 12/11/23 09:23 PM
I really don't think I'm going to fight this ... at all. This sounds like bs but a buddy of mine had old fashioned values, gave his wife everything, didn’t financially recover even though he took responsibility (the universe didn’t care), ended up in poverty and then dead. No, this isn’t your likely outcome but you could lose the ability to spend any time with your kids and have to take an early exit from life if she gets all of the retirement catch my drift. | /r/Divorce_Men | 12/11/23 09:10 PM

Sometimes I question my sanity and some venting.OP, I think this is also true but I’m kind of new to some aspects of the concept. | /r/Divorce_Men | 02/11/23 02:22 AM
Sometimes I question my sanity and some venting. You need confirmation. You someone you can trust who has a demonstrated highly accurate read. Basically like an accurate scale | /r/Divorce_Men | 02/11/23 02:00 AM
Sometimes I question my sanity and some venting.Do you have anyone brutally honest that you you have known for ever. I have a person like that who is very successful. I’d try things I was terrible at and I wouldn’t have to ask them. They would just let me know. Also things I’m good at. Now they didn’t warn me about my X but I got to the point where I asked them to give it to me straight and they just laid it all out like a map and once I saw it I couldn’t un see it. | /r/Divorce_Men | 02/11/23 01:59 AM
Sometimes I question my sanity and some venting. This sounds like my story. I have one trusted friend who told me she was always passive aggressive but I just wasn’t catching it. I really started to change because I knew logically there had to be some truth to it. One person didn’t turn into a completely different person. Slowly I began seeing it in my family members. Some we’re using me quite regularly for money and other things. As I keep going down this rabbit hole I’m seeing life in general very differently. It’s worth repeating, people do… | /r/Divorce_Men | 02/11/23 01:36 AM
Sometimes I question my sanity and some venting.Sorry but she is a child and it’s hopeless even with the the best therapist. She will keep doing this for as long as you know her. If she stops doing this it will only be replaced with something worse. How did you end up here? You warped who she is in your head. I know it’s a mind fck but you created a person in your head who never really existed. You were probably trained to do so during childhood. Maybe an abusive parent who’s behavior you warped in your head to deal. | /r/Divorce_Men | 02/11/23 01:19 AM
Update: I tried... to no availNever ever put your career on hold for a woman because the courts will screw you and men can’t reenter the workforce like women and I haven’t even gotten to women tending to not be very reasonable when it comes to the survival of their children’s father. | /r/Divorce_Men | 29/10/23 07:21 PM
Legally divorcing and continuing to live together, will it protect my assets? She may not get alimony directly but she may get so much child support you are indirectly providing alimony although she couldn’t “technically” use it for that. California will do what is best for the child and not be very concerned if her standard of living is better than it otherwise would be. I have experience with this in California. | /r/Divorce_Men | 29/10/23 06:40 PM
Friends After Betrayal? You can’t be friends because you need to trust friends and you can never trust her again. Having to interact with her is like cleaning the toilet. Just something you have to do. | /r/Divorce_Men | 29/10/23 06:00 PM

| – | My ex picked up the car at the mechanicWhat state is this in? Sounds similar to what I’m dealing with in California (Bay Area). It’s an absolute fkn nightmare at every turn | /r/Divorce_Men | 24/10/23 12:38 AM |
| – | What to do after getting fucked?Yeah, it’s usually one of the poles. Man hating woman or very conservative guy. You need a new judge | /r/Divorce_Men | 15/10/23 09:56 PM |
| – | What to do after getting fucked? Can you give us any insights on this judge? Man, woman? Man hating woman? Conservative man? | /r/Divorce_Men | 15/10/23 09:38 PM |
New Lady Friend? He hasn’t filed yet. It’s like the worst fkn idea in the world for him to do this at this point. He wants to stay even keeled as possible. | /r/Divorce_Men | 15/10/23 05:03 PM
New Lady Friend?I don’t even know where to begin. Firstly, you don’t want it to influence filing. After that, almost everyone is a bit of a mess and not really thinking straight. Not a good time to start a relationship. | /r/Divorce_Men | 15/10/23 02:56 AM
New Lady Friend?Yeah, DEFINITELY not around filing | /r/Divorce_Men | 15/10/23 01:01 AM
New Lady Friend?Stay away. She should know better. She probably does. | /r/Divorce_Men | 15/10/23 12:30 AM
New Lady Friend? If she is divorced she knows not to get involved with someone at your stage. You shouldn’t do this. | /r/Divorce_Men | 15/10/23 12:07 AM
| – | Separated about to reconcile but wife has told me she slept with someoneShe still wants to get back together with you and she is being honest. For me it wouldn’t factor much. | /r/Divorce_Men | 13/10/23 08:01 PM |
Do I tell the kids even though my wife is forbidding it?I don’t mean to distract with the left leaning part. It’s not what I meant to communicate. I apologize for the stereotype | /r/Divorce_Men | 11/10/23 01:28 PM
Do I tell the kids even though my wife is forbidding it?She ruined her relationship with them. It’s not your fault she torpedoed the family | /r/Divorce_Men | 11/10/23 12:41 PM
Do I tell the kids even though my wife is forbidding it?Tell the kids. Their long term outcome will probably be better getting an earlier understanding of the forces shaping their lives. The professionals are so left leaning they will tell you not to but that’s really because of your gender. Life is short. Before you know it, they will be grown and growing up hating you they will spend holidays with your x and you will just be alone and sad unless you set the record straight | /r/Divorce_Men | 11/10/23 12:40 PM
PIThis is all of our worst nightmare. Take this to family court asap | /r/Divorce_Men | 10/10/23 01:40 AM
MenI’m not trying to be discouraging but have an exit plan where the court sides with your wife and ignores all laws. Even if you have them on tape threatening to make false violence claims against you and you get a restraining order, the court will likely ignore it (I know your lawyer told you otherwise, they do that). Keep the evidence you have as it may keep you out of jail but have a plan in place for it to be ignored in divorce court. Men have no friends in divorce court. Not their lawyer, not… | /r/Divorce_Men | 07/10/23 08:51 PM
How do you deal with being alone?Pretty much just talk to people online if I’m not working | /r/Divorce_Men | 04/10/23 12:34 AM
How fucked am I?It sounds like you have the financial means to get a good attorney. I’d consult with a few. Times is critical. Determine your options | /r/Divorce_Men | 03/10/23 10:45 AM
Alimony and child support from a man's point of viewHow do you best deal with the narcissist during a situation like this? How do you best deal with the court? Thanks | /r/Divorce_Men | 26/09/23 09:48 AM
Alimony and child support from a man's point of viewThis is an all too common story. Man does what is best for the family and wife tries to throw him away when she has money. Women get the deserved sympathy and support when the roles are switched but men get attacked for all sides. After your faith, love for your child snd drive to do right as a father, what are the key strategies to get through this scenario with as much of a future for yourself as possible? How do you shine a light on the narcissist and get the best outcome from the court? Also… | /r/Divorce_Men | 26/09/23 09:47 AM
Alimony and child support from a man's point of viewI haven’t read the whole thing but I get the gist. Men take care of kids for lots of reasons. Sometimes it’s financial, sometimes it’s because the wife ignores the kids. Sometimes it’s both. Sometimes there are other reasons. You have my respect. What state are you in? | /r/Divorce_Men | 25/09/23 11:44 PM
