Maybe you have some issues with codependency?

It should be noted though that beta blockers are not approved by the FDA for the treatment of anxiety. They also are not completely safe, they can increase the risk of type II diabetes and there are some side effects that should be noted: Dizziness, insomnia, headaches, and impotence, and in extreme cases, depressed heart rate, shortness of breath, and abnormal heart rhythms. You'll have to work with your doctor to figure out if the rewards are worth the possible risks and if you have any condit…

Did you know that, physiologically, fear and excitement are the exact same to your body? The next time you start to feel the anxiety come on, remember that. If you were excited about this situation you would be feeling almost exactly the way you do right now. Start challenging the fear and try to put a positive spin on it. I also have SA and am currently training as an EMT, where I have no choice but to interact with people, and I try to always remember this when I start to freak out.

Lots of things in life seem to follow a pattern and it gets really tempting to try and use algorithms/formulas to solve a problem. I'm studying to be an EMT and there are general algorithms to follow, but every encounter is a unique experience. And getting tunnel vision as you apply an algorithm blindly can be the difference between life or death. It's all in the details and focusing on that very moment. And having to improvise your actions confidently or learn things the hard way is pretty comm…

I don't think it's just American women, a lot of Americans grow up with an incredibly entitled attitude that they deserve absolutely everything in life just because they showed up.

I like using music to get me in the zone. I have a playlist of some of my favorite Goa trance songs, that fast, driving beat makes me feel momentum, like I need to get some shit done.

Join clubs that interest you. You can expand your social network with others with compatible interests, find potential targets, and demonstrate your passions in life. Just get involved with stuff in general. Is the student center offering salsa dancing classes? Bet your ass some women will be there. A lot of people that commute end up just hanging out in spots on campus between classes. I have a Starbucks on campus, if you can tell someone doesn't seem to be engaged in studying, engage them! Tha…

You sound a lot like me. For any various reasons, I ended up with a self-esteem that is completely based on performance. When I am kicking ass at work or making a 4.0 in school, I feel like a god. But the second I begin to perceive my actions as a failure, everything crumbles down. I am still working on overcoming this. Learn to love yourself. You are awesome, no one else has the honor of being you. Even if someone else seems to be doing better than you, I am sure you can one-up them in somethin…

Confidence seems to solve everything. If you are nervous as shit and appear to lack confidence, it is a lot easier to appear "creepy." A lot of the time, "creepy" is just an easy dismissal for guys they have no interest in. Be relaxed, genuine, and confident and you will have no problems at all. Take your chances, there are plenty of opportunities should your present situation backfire

For sure. If you flaunt your wealth, you are going to get girls interested in exclusively in that wealth. It doesn't even have to be money, drugs/social connections/status can all attract the wrong kind of women. I don't really have any wealth overall, but for college students, I am doing far better than most. I keep that quiet, it may benefit them a little once they get to know me and can prove they are worth it

Being friends with an ex means you can be mature, good job. Always take the upper ground. One of my biggest heroes in life is Jack Kerouac. Among his rules for life were "accept loss permanently." Such a profound and simple statement. If I get rejected, I say "that's cool" and move on to the next awesome think in my life. Sucks for them they didn't get to know me.

My last relationship started sort of like this. We had met up one night at a party, ended up becoming friends on Facebook the next day. We started chatting a little, I told her that Facebook was killing my phone's battery and we should switch to texting. Got her number and set things up from there.

I just can't take Facebook seriously. Most of my posts are sharing music with friends or witty one-liners I come up with at work. No rational person is going to discount you because you don't use Facebook enough or don't have a ton of Facebook friends. I will take real interactions over FB any day. If anything, you are in an awesome position, as current or potential employers have a lot fewer reasons to fire you.

Why make it a dichotomy? You can be both. If you shine in your life, as evidenced by wealth or intelligence, there is absolutely no reason why you can't also be attractive or go for what I would summarize as the James Dean persona. As a software engineer, I have seeing plenty of people who are incredibly intelligent and make a shitton of money but can't find any success(think of the most stereotypical computer person you can). But I also know plenty of software engineers who are attractive, witt…

Exactly. Don't wait to become "alpha," by acting now, stating your intentions and taking a risk, you will be alpha.

I honestly say not to really worry about any of it, you will figure it out really quickly. When it comes to that moment, ask her what she likes. Different women get turned on my different things. Asking won't make you look inexperienced or foolish, it will let you really rock her world. Chances are that your first time will be with someone experienced, it won't be anything to worry about

Still, it's not like high school. Yes, people do have tight knit groups of friends, but it is not as cliquey as it is in high school. Approach people anywhere. Got 5 minutes before class starts? Talk to the people around you! Even if there are no women you are interested in, it will help you break out of your shell and develop more social confidence. Talk to random people around the dorms, and leave your door open when you aren't doing anything important to invite people to drop by and hang. Eac…

Listen to some music. I like some high energy electronic music(lots of Glitch Mob and various Goa trance right now) to get pumped, and the repetitive beat structure helps me stay focused.

I'm sure that is just a logical fallacy in your mind, your thoughts are the only thing holding you back! Try being more observant of people around you in your daily life. Start small, build yourself up with some simple accomplishments like making eye contact and smiling. You will probably find out that the above wasn't that difficult or nerve-wracking. Take it up a little, start some conversations. Note the times she seems really interested in you, and keep going from there. Keep persisting and …
