I got downgraded on a book report in a feminist class because I disagreed with the author and the professor. The book was written in 2000 by a feminist author who started writing in the late 70s. I pointed out how she was no longer radical by today's (2016) standards and got penalized...

People who divorce keep getting remarried and divorced multiple times. <<< That throws off the numbers. Seriously, I dated a girl whose mom was on her 5th marriage, and another girl whose mom was on her 3rd. So, half of people who marry don't get divorced, but because of serial divorcers, it looks that way. Also, if we want to "fix" marriage, we need to just abolish the marriage license. I think the surprise comes more in anyone unwilling to admit to having double standards. This applies to both men and women. I remember someone did a story about making two male accounts on a dating site, exactly the same with one key difference: the guy in the photos.
