The biggest leap of faith that I have had to make during unplugging is this topic. I had a best friend and group of good friends who I came to realise about 3 months before TRP didn't actually value me a great deal. The pill is what gave me that backing to cut them from my life after being majorly screwed over by them. That was at Christmas and I haven't been in a better state since. I had a similar experience. When I first started reddit I didn't understand the rules and reposted a link post to a sub after I realised I had made a typo in the previous attempt. This got me shadow banned for spamming with a new account and I went 3 months without understanding why no one was responding to my comments...

It is quite rare nowadays that a TRP article affects me as much as this one. I unplugged around 4 months ago and my life has taken a huge turn for the better in almost every facet. However, I have still had the feeling that I'm missing something and it is this point exactly. Thanks a lot for the post, I agree with the other guys that this would be ideal sidebar material.

I agree with the premise of the article but I think also a sign of true discipline and control over oneself is being in a state where you can enjoy things like a hot shower without it leading to you being in there for 30 mins wasting your time. Assign yourself periods of pleasure but stick to them, being constantly uncomfortable for the sake of being disciplined will surely lead to an unhappy and constantly painful life. Ying and yang and all that shit brah.

Yeah fuck that. MGTOW for me then I guess. There's much more to life than getting laid in the grand scheme of things.

I feel this is extremely relevant. Ironically another telegraph article. This barber shop looks like paradise. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/men/fashion-and-style/11254834/All-women-should-be-banned-from-barber-shops.html

I don't know about you but £85 for a cashmere Tommy Hilfiger V neck doesn't exactly scream 'cheap factory outlet'.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
