As a married guy I don't understand how men let themselves end up in a relationship like that. Didn't they set up any boundaries? Edit: Just heard of this sub, are married guys even allowed?

Yeah. 'Base' pay is if you're hired with not even an associates degree and just a high school diploma or GED, not coming from the military and never working overtime (which never happens since it's mandatory a lot of the time).

Both of my parents are retired sheriffs deputies and they averaged around 90K to 110K a year each with overtime. (This is in SoCal) You also need to take into account that deputies usually get a 10% pay increase for each degree held regardless of field and you also need to take into account all of the benefits they receive including a real pension. The pension thing is huge. Your pension is based on your income from your last two years of service so both my parents worked every hour of overtime …

No, I was invited by my work but decided not to go at the last minute. I would have had to go up there on Thursday and figured I could get more work done with all the other managers out of the office and I still got my weekend.
