Why they didn't give the response to Vivek or someone like him is a mystery.

And? They still need care, and if there aren't veterinarians to do that, you create incentive for that.

Some Australian university implemented a bursary for male veterinarians a few years ago. Massive outcry, but it was necessary because the majority female veterinarians didn't want to drive out into the sticks to work with cows, pigs and sheep. Male veterinarians were in desperately short supply. Doesn't matter, cries about sexism and the patriarchy etc.

Men's self help books: You must do this, this and this. Women's self help books: You deserve this, this and this.

either women should be allowed to get abortion until the baby is born Do people not understand how ghoulish they sound when writing things like this? One of the reasons Roe v Wade got flushed by the supreme court is because Dems tried to introduce a bill that would actually allow a woman to abort a child that would be perfectly capable of surviving. But no, murder is required for the mom's convenience.

You'll find /r/trueoffmychest a more active sub anyway, despite not being a default sub and thus having less than half the subscribers. Just check the "online" numbers in the tab on the right. TOMC regularly has as many users active, if not more, than OMC. At the very least, they are comparable, despite less than half the subscriber count.

Is there any other phenomenon that is backed by science yet can hardly be openly discussed in American society today? Race? Discussions about race and politics can also be pretty controversial, but racial and political discourse exists in plenty of American media (TV shows, movies) and institutions (eg. schools, government). But not in a way where we can make effective decisions, or where actual facts are discussed and debated. Try and bring up the culture of african-americans and/or black peopl…

The "GDP is great, nothing to see here" argument kills me. So some massive corps made lots of money off the back of a populace that can't feed itself. Yippee.

No they're not. Not even close. The only thing they have in common is the disdain they have for the opposite gender.

She's already getting the hearing behind closed doors. She dragged Depp through the mud with slander and lies, now the truth is out and she's getting handled with kid gloves.

It's not a bad comparison. You're asking why a place that has at its center a problem with X, spends a lot of time talking about X. It's not rocket science.

Why does /r/childfree have so many posts about children?

Eh. It's less scripted than your average show, but much like Top Gear they definitely have their skits.

And demoted to lower than 500th spot a week later, apparently. Honestly, he kinda trolled them masterfully. Edit: Sorry, that was an epic browser malfunction and this got posted 20 times. No idea what just happened.

I wouldn't say difference in skill, per se. Some of those ladies are god-damn amazing to watch. But the pace and intensity isn't necessarily up there.
